Not compatible with Windows8 printer

First of all, I'm not a computer expert.  I got my new CPU Inspiron 6605 for about six months.  When I bought it, I asked Tech support if it would be compatible with all my other components, which are all Dell.  Very rarely, I use my printer and do not know if the problem started immediately, but when I used it, it would not print. I tried all the suggestions for troubleshooting but still get the message that my printer was not communicating with my computer.  Just today, I noticed a small flag in the bar and clicked on it.  Among other messages, it says that my computer was not compatible with Windows8.  It was not a car for him.  I followed all the instructions that I thought would be suggestions on how to Solver the problem. Some have said that it may be compatible with a Windows & drive.  I found myself running a diagnosis, which the site instructed me to do. .  There was a note saying that it may take 60 minutes.  He was sitting on a page saying: collection of information, with the four blocks little turn for a half an hour with no results. My last CPU used VISTA (and I wish that I have always had of hell) and not Windows 7.  Is that what I can do without having to buy a new printer? I was very disappointed by Windows8, and I think now that Dell is not the best way to go.

Rick: I followed your instructions and when I clicked on setup I got a sign saying "Setup error": "your version of the Windows operating system does not with you new printer Dell." I think it must be impossible to make them compatible and if you could you would have been able to do.  Thanks for your help, but I'll just be happy to have my nephew do my impression for me.

  • Windows 95 version of Print Shop Deluxe is not compatible with Windows 7. If anyone can solve this?

    . Windows 7 64 bit printing problem

I used the Windows 95 version of the Print Shop Deluxe on XP for years without problems, but now I just got a new laptop running Windows 7 (64 bit) and the CD will not download. Dialog box shows is not compatible. Anyone has any ideas, the update to download this CD please?

Its unlikely that the PrintShop version designed for Windows 95 uses some 16-bit code that is not compatible with 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

Most older programs don't work with Windows 7, in particular some programs for Windows XP, can you need to perhaps upgrade to Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition if you run not an edition and download the Windows XP Mode free program which will allow you run old programs:

  • The information about the registered printer are not compatible with this version of Photoshop

    Hello

I hope someone can help us. I'm a COMPUTER technician in a school, we have about 500 machines to Windows 7 64 bit with around 600/700 users - 200 machines have the CS5.5 Master Collection on which is installed. We have an intermittent problem with printing from Photoshop (32-bit and 64-bit versions). Our printers are for the most part, the (modern) HP LaserJet printers, but we have an inkjet Epson B-510DN and some copiers Xerox too. The drivers are all installed on a central print server running Server 2008 R2 and shared via the client computers group policy.

In the rooms where Photoshop is installed, intermittently when a student goes to print, we will receive the following error message:

Saved printer information are not compatible with this version of Photoshop, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before you print.

Photoshop will be gray and then the button "Print" and will not let the user print again. The strange thing is that we can still print from other software such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft software or even non - same Illustrator will print. It just seems to be Photoshop it's has all the problems.

This occurs when you print to a printer on the site, 90% of whom are HP. As a general rule we set up all of our HP printers with HP PCL6 universal print driver because it facilitates the management of the various models of printers, and we did not limit ourselves atall yet. We are aware that the Adobe software is "preferential" for Postscript drivers, but aren't our printers, HP PCL is their mother tongue. We tried to change a printer for the Postscript UPD driver to test but he brought no improvement. We also saw the issue in depth altogether with our Epson B-510DN, which is configured with the newer model specific driver Epson as uses our photography service. As we see with different printers, I don't think the printer drivers are to blame - unless someone want to prove me wrong.

Like I said the problem is intermittent, and we are having trouble tracing it down for a user, computer, or a software problem, as it is so intermittent. Has anyone another considering cela and managed to overcome? Given that it only happens in Photoshop is this a bug that Adobe have recognosed and fixed the CS6? The only solution we found that he must go in printer, change the default printer from one to the other and vice versa - cela seems to shut up Photoshop.

    Thank you, Dave.

Here's the answer that I received from Adobe, and it worked.

'Ok. Try to open 'print', while holding the space bar; He ignores all the saved values. "Also, make sure that the correct printer that he set as default.

  • Information about the registered printer are not compatible with Photoshop elements 11

Hello - having used successfully PSE11 to print pictures on my printer Epson Artisan 810, printer died and was replaced with a printer Epson Artisan 837.  The new printer works on ALL my other applications EXCEPT I get the following error message after hitting "print" on Photoshop elements 11.

    Message:

Saved printer information are not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available.  You will need to check your printer settings before you print.

You can see on the screenshot attached as the Epson Artisan 837 is a validly installed printer.  All advanced settings were available for selection/editing, and all the printer drivers are up-to-date.  In addition, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer without the resolution of the problem.

Can someone tell me please in the right direction to solve this problem?
    Thank you, Debbie

    Running:

    Windows XP sp3 (updated)

Go into the control-> devices and printers-> and rename your printer or remove it and reinstall the drivers and rename the name of the printer. Looks like the Epson series drivers could come into conflict here that would be common for Epson series of printers in this category.

  • Firefox worked, today has not started with the error the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are using.

Computer is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Firefox has work fine for over a year on this computer. Nothing has been changed or updated updated except Windows update indicates that it installed updates on August 19. I had computer week before because only out of town, back entrance and began August 18, but Firefox has worked that day. Does not use FF again until today. Today August 22, firefox does not start, shortcut icon changed program not there. Exe in the folder when you click Poster error message says the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows, I am running. Exe of Firefox shows created on 20 August. I suspect the update, Windows or FF but lean towards windows, which was spent, who broke things. I noticed that IE 10 updates, updates of .NET framework and the malicious software removal tool have been installed. I tried to restart the computer, has not set. Tried to run as administrator, did not work. I don't want to uninstall FF, at least have to because of all the things I have here, bookmarks, last past passwords, etc..

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files (not the profile folder, where the bookmarks are stored) and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    Thank you.

  • Not compatible with my photosmart 5510 564 HP cartridges

    Hello

I have a photosmart 5510 printer I bought at the Japan. It came with a set of 178 cartridges.

I moved to the Korea and bought a set of new cartridges HP 564 here because 178 cartridges are not available in Korea. In the box of cartridges it is said that the cartridges are adequate for the photosmart 5510.

After the installation, I get an error "incompatible cartridge".

If I use sureSupply via the HP utility to find compatible cartridges and I select the Korea as my current position, I get the following message:

You have selected the following location: Korea

Is this your current location? We have detected that the cartridges purchased at the location you have selected will not work with your printer. Common causes of this include:

    • you bought your printer in another country
    • you bought your printer on the Internet from a supplier in another country.
    • your printer has been provided by your employer who has moved to another country.
    • you have selected the wrong location on this Web site.

Your printer can be reset to work in the location you have selected: Korea

Contact HP support for more information on having your reset printer to work in this place.

Below that there is a link 'Contact HP for support product' but if I click that I find myself on the sureSupply page and I have to choose my model and location. If I do that, I see a list of 564 cartridges I buy.

Top of the page, there is a link "Contact HP" but this link (a javascript link) does nothing (in safari on OSX).

How can I have my printer reset to work in Korea (with 564 cartridges)?

@ JeroenKorea - if you bought the printer in an area and moved to a new area, you must call customer service to ask a "regionalization Reset." Avoid any accusation to this effect; It is covered under the warranty of the cartridge. You will need to have access to your computer and printer then on line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once completed reset cartridges of region of origin no longer works.

See the document on regionalisation.  I'm sure you already used this link, but I want to offer again.
