If your Vista operating system is still active and running, use one of the programs above to find your product key.

REMOVED FROM WINDOWS VISTA AND NOT GENUINE WINDOWS 7 INSTALLED

    Hello

What is the best way to go to solve the following problem? My brother downloaded a non-genuine version of windows 7 to Utorrents. My laptop had Vista originally. I can't find any trace of Vista anywhere, and now it's a problem when I set up my wireless internet connection.

Have to buy an upgrade to a real windows 7 or what? Vista is obv not terrible as it sounds. Just want a normal work :) laptop

    Thanks for your help

    Mike

In this case, you have two options.

    (1) buy a copy of the full details of which edition of WIndows 7 that you want to use (this one sounds, basic home edition can be sufficient - if not, Home Premium) and reformat/reinstall using them.

    (2) buy an edition upgrade of WIndows 7 for which edition you want AND get the discs of recovery of the manufacturer - reinstall Vista and then upgrade to WIndows 7.

    (3) - ONLY possible if the COA sticker is present and correct for a qualifying operating system (that would be) - buy a complete upgrade to Win 7, and use double-install method to install it clean.

  • Problem of loss genuine window vista.

    Dear Sir / Madam,.

I buyed a new CAREB labtop here in pakistan with a genuine windows vista installed in it, but unfortunately I don't know how I lost my windows and installed a non-windows xp genuine for now. My question is if I can get my windows vista real back now?

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Genuine Windows Vista Home 7

I get a message that my Vista Windows 7 is not genuine and I need to activate it. I had Windows Home Vista for about 6 years, I bought the computer. This message has suddenly started to appear today. It requires a product key that I don't know. How can I fix this without having to buy the product all over again that I can't really afford to do so.

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.
-* in your own thread *, please

Please also state the Version and edition of Windows cited on your COA sticker (if you a) in the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but does NOT quote the key on the sticker!

  • I get the message that says not genuine Windows? But it is.

Wallpaper is red and is now black.

    Everything still works?

    However, he now says:

Windows Vista TM, Build 6002, this copy of Windows is not genuine.

    It is authentic!

When I check the updates - everything is ok. Suggestions, please?

Windows Vista - Home Premium Edition (x 32) Service Pack 2

    Best regards, John

    You are welcome.

The MGADiag tool has few healing abilities and simply in the performer can solve some problems.  However, this isn't the most common result, but of course it happens.  If the error is returned, post a new report MGADiag in forum Windows Vista Validation

    http://social.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/genuinevista/threads

Discord between resource programs at the same time that Windows performs a periodic validation control can also cause a temporary non-genuine opinion.

First, install the latest Windows updates. I noticed that your installation is Windows 7 Service Pack 1 RTM - 7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119 - 1850.

    Click on run as administrator

At the command prompt, type the following commands:

slmgr.vbs - ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (to replace the specified in the current product key)

xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx - represents your product key

    Press enter on your keyboard

    Leave the command prompt

    Restart your computer

    Try again activate by phone.

It is a Dell Optiplex with Windows 7 pre-installed pro.
Have you tried to rename token.dat to no avail, have no version of work in previous versions, either.

  • Build 7601 a copy not genuine Windows. Problem is that it is

I have a problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 computer laptop I've had for a good 2 years now since March. It came with Windows 7, and I know that it is authentic, because he never had the message at the bottom right. However, today, a message saying "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine", but it is! What should I do? Excuse if this is in the wrong topic, I don't know where it goes into the subject.

Well, I did said the comment. The analysis said that. I hope that I copied it correctly.

In addition, the version of Windows 7 I have is Home Premium.

    Is anyone know now?

Wait a second! I noticed, after I did the analysis thing the message saying that it is not genuine is gone! What on Earth is happening?

the report shows no problem. There are a few characteristic heal self then maybe that fixed it...

If it happens again after a new report.
  • All of a sudden not genuine Windows 7 OEM

Windows 7 Home Edition Premium, OEM

Have been running this copy of Windows for years, I am running a cloned disk because my original HD failed. All the time that I started to have problems with the original drive that I started to have the popup that my copy of Windows is not genuine, so I think I might have some corrupted files and no idea how fix it. When I right click on my computer and look at the properties, it says that Windows is turned on... but I get the popup.

Report of the diagnostic tool, it lists a bunch of files 'doctored '... I have no idea how this could happen:
