  • Someone at - it smart enough to: «host process for Windows Services has stopped working...» » ?

I have spent a week on this problem, looking all over the internet and doubt that someone knows enough to solve this problem. I've been a software engineer for 30 years and never worked on an operating system such as buggy windows Vista (or windows)

I got TWO errors. They may be related.

= The first is with Windows Update

    -If you know, I tried:

    At ran windows BITS difficulty
ran sfc/scannow (it found and fixed some iexplorer 8 _)
    has ran defrag and
    has ran chkdsk
drivers replaced with the latest news from Toshiba
has run hardware diagnostics - no problem

I tried with and without firewalls and AV running.
I don't run AVG control and malware - no problem

    Windows Update always fails.

Machine: Vista 32 Home Premium SP2 on a Toshiba Qosmio computer laptop X 305-Q705 4 Gig Duo P7350 Intel with nvidia

Otherwise, Windows works fine. Net access is fine using Mozilla. Even correctly downloaded files. BUT

I get this error: windows update does NOT. It gives an error "failed", whose code is:

    0X80072EFE-2147012866 ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_ABORTED

Also, sometimes strange, windows displays an error dialog box:

    Hey Joe,

I see that you have updated your drivers.

Have you updated your chipset for this PC drivers?

Are you overclocking PC or running a RAID configuration?

I suggest to remove all external devices during the diagnostic process, except the keyboard, mouse and monitor.

If you think this error is with IE, you can try running it without Add - ons.

Alternatively, you can try to reset the Internet Explorer settings.

Here is some information on this process:

I tried to download a 'Virtual Villagers' Limewire program (what was I thinking?) and then I had all these virus that messed up my computer big time.

I have the error messages are:

Host process for Windows Services has stopped working as was closed.

The system could not find the environment option that was entered.

When I try to install the updates:

    "WindowsUpdate_800700CB" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

The change I made before all this was trying to install Limewire "Virtual Villagers" program.

I tried to go through the files and remove the sources of the Trojans, I ran several scans Malware Bytes (each indent to 4 Trojan horses, Rpot Kits, Ad/Spyware every time) and recently tried the Windows scanner. Who found 2 Trojan horses and withdrawn. Subsequently, I made a Malware Bytes scan which found 1 Trojan and I removed it.

I'm not able to create, delete or modify anything in the UAC. Uninstall the habit of most of the things I try to uninstall programs and features. I'm more able to control the volume on my computer with the arrow keys and Fn. My Gallery of photos will not preview more and my computer will not install updates. My computer turns off without warning a lot and takes awhile where I can turn it back on and I hope not to have it close back 20 minutes. I try to use the system restore, but it won't work. I don't have a Windows Vista disc.

How I have difficulty to all this and permanently delete all viruses and malware?

    Hello

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Try to create another user profile, and then test to see if the problem persists

If you do not have a different user account, you will need to create a (see link below). If everything works fine with a different user profile, you can infer that the user profile is damaged, click on the link to find out how to solve this problem.

  • SPORE on Windows 7 installs but doesn't start. Message says "Spore has stopped working".

I recently bought the game spore original and installed on my compaq cq5320f. It installed correctly but when I try to run the game, the screen goes out for a second, then an error message box saying "spore has stopped working" it self closes and says windows is working on a solution and if it finds one, that he will let me know. the only option is to close the box.

I tried everything, including a spoke with a representative from EA that had me do a start-up in minimal mode, of the United Nations and to reinstall and even suggested I buy a new video card: I did. I upgraded to the Radeon 4850.

I am the only user on this computer and have had norton antivirus running on it every second because she was online. When I right click on the SPORE icon, it does not give my an option to run the previous version and the same error occurs when you try to run as an administrator (whose profile is already anyway).

I am at a loss here. I know that's not the game, because I installed it on my laptop (running Vista) and it works fine.

    Please... help?

    Hey mervcasey,

Please test this behavior in the new user account. Not sure if this will help, but it is worth looking at.

    Method 1:

Create a new user account for testing purposes.

    Method 2:
