Two weeks ago, I bought a HP 2235tx g6. From the beginning, I just think it's normal that dvd rom keep making noise every 5-10 minutes (eventhough its empty). But now, I think that it is not normal. Is there a solution for this problem?

    Budi_hi,

Your system does not have health monitor. He has Assistant support that does the same thing, but it mainly installs just the updates.

    Turn off the computer.
That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load the default values.
Press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

You should also try updating windows.

Here is a link that will guide you through the steps.

It may be a hardware problem with the drive because it's happened since you've got the computer.

You will have to perhaps call HP and see what options it must repair or replace the disk.

Here is a link to a phone number to call HP.

I would like to know how everything goes

  • HP Pavilion a1220n Desktop PC fan (FANIN1) making the noise

my desktop HP Pavilion a1220n (FANIN1) exhaust fan making a noise.  start-up noise, RPM fan drops of about 960 (no noise) to 750 (noise).  I guess that the fan will stop at some point soon.

Anyone know the name / plug for this fan, so I can buy a replacement?

I opened the folder and the fan noise starts, I hit the fan and the noise goes away for a few minutes and then go back.  not the best solution.  If the fan stops, and since it is the exhaust fan, can I keep running my PC with the box to open?  Is the fan at the bottom of the case, not the cooling fan in the CPU.  I guess when the case is open, I get a lot of air so that when the fan stops completely, I can always run the PC.

    Sorry for hiking...

  • How to remove particular notification area icons?

    Hello

I would like to ask your help how to remove particular notification area icons (Windows 7 Professional). I mean, this isn't just 'Show' or 'hide '.

For example, I want to delete VLC Media Player and Microsoft Office OneNote in the list.

In addition, I don't want to restore the system icons, because all the icons will be removed.

Thanks a lot if you could provide solutions step by step.

You just want to remove the icons, or you want to stop the
programs icons are to run in the background?

If you just want to remove the icons, but keep the programs running,
You should check the programs themselves to see if they offer
you have this option. But if you want to stop background programs
start automatic and running, read the following:

First of all, note that you should be in * all * programs that
starts automatically, not only those who enter the system tray
(notification area). Show not all auto-start programs
themselves by an icon in the status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
you, you should be concerned, not with the way * a lot * of these programs
you run, but * that *. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • On 3 levels notification area icons, not one

Suddenly, the notification area icons have been changed a line at the bottom of the screen to 3 levels, thus shortening the screen. I tried dragging them to the original format using the arrow cursor/up-and-to the bottom, but nothing would move.  I have windows XP sp3

The task bar are now resized.  In addition to on three levels notification area icons, I noticed later sections of divider taskbar [thin line of vertical points between the 'missions'] were on 2 levels, instead of one.
I was able to drag the low divider to the same level as that of top, [including the task].

Then and only then, [for a reason any] did the arrow cursor/double head decide to work on the upper part of the task bar and I was able to resize.  However, I have left clicked on the mouse to drag, not right click.  Previously, I had clicked left and right click, but nothing has worked.  Now, I've locked the taskbar, so that I won't in the future.
    Your help is appreciated.

    Hi, Lewis S.,.

Shortcuts to sites will initially their own custom icon when you create a shortcut. This icon is called a "favicon.ico" and is stored in the temporary Internet files (TIF) cache, which is where all website files, are stored when you visit them. If the cache is disabled, all custom icons are removed.

You can restore the favorite icons of bookmarking site again. The other method is described below.

Step 1: Locate the favorite on the Temporary Internet Files folder icons.

    a. the default temporary Internet files location is C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

    b. navigate to the location above.

    c. ensure that the hidden files and folders is disabled so that you can access the location.

    Reference: Show hidden files

    d. type fav*.ico in the search field. This will pull up your favorite icons.

    e. copy and paste icons to another folder, such as the C:\Favorites icon.

Follow the instructions below to point the bookmark to the permanent icon file.

    Step 2: Customize icons

    a. open Internet Explorer.

    b. click the Favorites icon.

    c. right-click on the favorite that you want to change icon.

    d. Select Properties.

    e. under the web document tab, click Change icon.

    f. click Browse to navigate to the location where the folder is stored. IE C:\Favorites icon.
