Number of charge Cycle

Hi I just bought iPhone 5s a week ago.

I checked the battery cycle count was 170, the full capacity of the battery is 1600.

Now the number of cycle is 189, but the total capacity fell to 1500.

Is this normal?

Thanks, has soon

That is the software that you use to measure? I don't think that Apple has any application for this?

It doesn't matter what the app said, do you see a real degradation in the battery life or performance? Go to the Apple Store where you bought it and ask, you are in the period of two weeks back without asking

I had a defective power adapter, running on the number of cycles of load on my battery.  Thus, it no longer accepts a charge.  I have been running only on AC for over a year now, but finally decided to replace the battery.  What are the steps to reset the counter after replacing the battery?

Replce just the battery, the battery will communicate the number of cycles to the computer. No adjustment is necessary.

  • WIN8.1 system Toshiba MQ02ABF050H SSHD: LCC Load Cycle Count value increases too fast!

    Hello world
A few months ago, I bought an Acer Aspire E5-573-3009 New Notebook i3-5005. It comes with the SSHD (= hybrid system) 500 GB Toshiba MQ02ABF050H. I installed 8 GB of RAM on the laptop, everything works perfectly. However, I use CrystalDiscInfo to definitely keep me updated on the disk temperature and S.M.A.R.T. data, and about once a month, I conduct a test with HDDScan. Now, I am really worried about the number of Cycle charge/discharge, or to be more precise: the charge by hour cycles. For example, today, I see that the number of cycles of loading and unloading for the aforementioned disc is already 68007; the number of hours under tension is 1346. This means that the average number of Cycles of load per hour is 50.5. I read a lot on the subject of the Cycles of loading and unloading on the internet, and it seems that 50 charge Cycles / hour is much too high! I have no find any info by Toshiba on the maximum number of charge Cycles their hard disks are supposed to survive, but for many Western Digital disks, it is 300 000. (And my Toshiba SSHD is my Windows system drive, so we can expect to suffer wear more HD average, many of which are used for the storage of date). If the maximum number of charge cycles my SSHD is supposed to survive looked like value, this would mean that almost 1/4 of its overall life expectancy had already left - after only a few months (with 1346 hours power)! I already stopped using Hibernate Windows a week ago (now with the help of sleep or stop instead, but much decreased the value of charge by hour Cycles.) I contacted Acer (which are responsible for taking care in this case, because they sold me the SSHD under their laptop), and they told me that they cannot help me at all, because Toshiba gave no information about this kind of problem or firmware updated. I now plan to change advanced power of the disc in CrystalDiskInfo management values. It offers a slider ranging from 'Min power' to 'Performance '. originally, the cursor was in the Middle, I think I would be similar 'Performance', but I don't know how, and he will help me with my problem at all. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help!

  • HP pavilion x 360: works with a fully charged battery

Hi, when I work connected to AC with the battery fully charged, it damages the battery? or the load is stopped and I get HQ directly to the PC?

    Thank you!

    Hi @avisaf,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

There is no harm in the use of current alternative when the battery is fully charged. Once the charge is completed it stop the load until the battery again reached a specific parameter, date on which it will begin to load it again.

He stops the load cells when they are full and gives more power when they are too weak. Prevents them from short circuit or having too much power from their part. The best thing about Li - ion cells is that you can just reload them here and there, giving them a bit of power every so often, a full charge. They are how to always have a life expectancy of so many cycles and so eventually lose their charge max (read once you run the battery for).

One thing essential to consider (depending on where you live) East of power cuts, if the computer you suddenly lose power, it is not healthy. Ditto for your laptop, if you have removed the battery. The battery works as a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) so you can always use your laptop and turn it off safely.

All rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and should be replaced.

Here is a link to HP - laptops test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8) if you need.

Hi all, my battery 13 "MBP 2010 environment just ran a report showing the ability of 4987

If the hard charge long enough for your specific use, let along.

If you constantly have to interrupt your work to load, get a replacement.

It really depends on your use. Just keep an eye on the charge level and the number of charge cycles. The closest he gets to 2000 cycles, faster it will start to deteriorate.

  • Over time battery life is getting worse?

Since I got this phone, I feel of the continuous battery life to make worse. Last semester with JB, I got about 10 hours before my phone would die in school who is always looking for a signal. Now with school where someplaces have no signal and some do it seems to be worse. I also work a stage where my signal is good, but not WiFi. This semester, whenever I try to connect to wifi my wifi disconnects immediately. I'm now more than having 4 or 5 hours before the death of my battery. Advice for the better battery life. I'm an average user of my phone, so I don't know if someone could help me? You have any advice?

Battery capacity decreases with the number of charge cycles.

I'm often in and out of the areas of weak signal during the day. What worked for me, it is (1) stop google maps to use the telephone to report its position. (2) similar to what joelbon said, I have an app that will activate the airplane for a fixed period mode. When I'm on the subway, I put the phone in airplane 15 minutes mode.

You don't know when someone, including Motorola, can develop an application that stops looking for 4 G phone when the signal gets to a certain level, then automatically try again in 15 minutes. When you lose the signal that it stops looking for 5 minutes, or lose the 3G and it disables the mobile data for 15 minutes. If everything that happened behind the scenes that I bet that those of us who are in spotty areas of service really would be an increase in the life of the battery.

  • Battery power when it is full of decrease (IdeaPad Z570)

  • New SL510/Win 7 with HD WD3200BEVT: crazy clicking / LOAD_CYCLE increase

I noticed on my new Win 7 win SL510 and Levono Power Manager 3.3, the HD has produced a noise clicking every few seconds. Given that this sound usually reflects the parking of heads HDs, I looked at its SMART status and it reported a crazy number of charge cycle of more than 6500 in 50 hours of power at the time. It is about 130 an hour of charge cycles. That the HD is specified for 600,000 charge cycles, I fear that the HD will reach its specified limit after about 6 months of regular use. Sounds - noises left aside - completely inaccetable for me. What is happening with the Lenovo Power Manager? I don't want to spoil my HD...

I found the cause of the problem. It seems that it is not for lack of Lenovos but Western Digital. The WD3200BEVT has a too aggressive idle timer value 4 s (!) in the bios of HDs. This means that if there is a service running, access to HD every 10 seconds, there to park the heads every 10 seconds!

In this case, the solution is a utility named WDIdle3:
    http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?GroupId=609&SID=113&lang=en

Started from a startup disk, it can be used to set the WD timeout to a higher value. I put it at 30 and load cycles went :-)

  • always using plugged my laptop will damage my battery?

If I always use my laptop connected and drain my battery once in 5-7 days, there will be no problem to my laptop battery?

    Hello

This kind of question existed for several years. All the smart charger and smart batteries now know how to keep good sahpe. Battery life depends on the number of charge cycles. No one can say concrete, because there are a few factors that can change. Please read the following articles.

  • Simple battery issue

I recently bought a HP DV6-6170us and have a question about the battery. It's my first new computer in about 5 years.

If I leave the power adapter connected to the battery is fully charged which will ruin the battery life? I know that on my old Dell Inspiron 9400 I would leave it plugged in all the time, and finally the battery disconnected life looked like 5 minutes. I got this computer in 2006, so I think that the batteries have changed since their.

    Hello

It shouldn't affect your battery that much if you leave the laptop constantly plugged into the AC adapter - battery life is largely determined by the number of charge cycles and his age - you will not really clock cycles of charge if its permanently connected to a power supply.

However if you really want to maximize your battery life, the best way would be to remove and store the battery drained to about 40% of a full charge and then wrap it in a plastic bag and store it somewhere cool like a fridge (not freezer).
