Number of thumbnails pdf / label - absolute want, getting relative

Hello!

I work on the beginning of a book and am having a problem with the way wearing it pdf thumbnails

• It has a cover and an introduction with no page number.

• Who is followed by a section marked as a section starting at page 1 and the prefix "Teacher."

• It is configured to do not to display the prefix on the page.

• The doc itself looks great in both InDesign and when exporting to PDF.

The problem is that the pdf shows photos entitles"Challeng1, technological2, etc. in the chapter, as you can see in the picture. He should spend 5-6 in the miniature, while keeping the number 1 for the section numbering.

• I have chosen an absolute numbering in InDesign for global commerce.

• In the window pages in InDesign, I have the correct absolute numbering.

• Same result in the Mac as in Adobe Reader preview.

After searching for help, I have been unable to find what I'm doing wrong and I would be happy to help.

I work in CS4 on Mac OS 10.6.7,

Thanks in advance. I'm eager to get out of this sample chapter as soon as POSSIBLE and this problem of pdf thumbnails is my last hurdle, I think.

Best,

Caryn

You will need Acrobat to change the label of a page, including the miniature label. Change in format Acrobat Advanced > Document Processing > number Pages.

If you have sections in your document, the Page numbering display preference affects the label in the Panel of the page and the page reference for printing, but does not change the way in which the label is recognized in Acrobat.
