  • Intel Rapid Storage driver

I have two desktops Dell XPS 8700. They are both about a year. A few days ago I installed the update of anniversary of 10 windows on two of them. That seemed to go OK. I used the two pcs for a little while, after the update is complete. When I stopped the first machine, there was already an update. I chose the update and close. The next day, I was on the other pc, and after I used it for a few hours, suddenly a program does not open. I finally restarted and I might have expected, there was an update being installed. (I had this same senario happens sometimes so I wan't surprised, that is to say, things quite normally, then you will find Microsoft has eliminated a update requires a reboot, but does not tell you.) But then the trouble started. The update takes a long time and then came the login screen, but every time I tried to enter my password, the screen would freeze and it will re-start. After 5 repetitions of this, I got a black screen that says from ASR and then it went to a blue screen that says that WRkrn.sys is damaged or missing and I need a disc or a system administrator. I couldn't remember if I had created a recovery disc or where I had put. I ran to the other computer to create one, but when I started it up, exactly the same thing happened. I called Microsoft and they wanted me to them starts in safe mode, but I couldn't. Then, they had me create an ISO image. I'm sure it was the last version. I tried to repair, System Restore, etc, but nothing worked. So I got finally from a Macrium backup. But now I'm afraid of any update from Microsoft.

I watched this show on the web and some have said that the Intel rapid storage driver update fixed that problem for them. So I wonder if I should update this driver before that Microsoft is trying to push it on me once again. But how to find the right driver for my system. I searched Dell and I found one that is a 32-bit driver. He said that it also works on 64 bit systems. But is there a 64-bit driver.

How can I find what other drivers are available for my system? I have to enter my service tag?

Honestly, I got no problem with every machine since I bought it and I hate to fix it if it ain't broke.

Been a number of probs with recent updates MS causing problems like yours...

You can always go to the Intel download site and enter their driver update scanner. It will review your material and recommend the updated drivers.

  • CSM 3 - > 4 update - required disk space

We need to upgrade our server MCS v3 to v4 and looking at the configuration required by the server on the cisco Web site caused our server admins to have a fit.

The line that causes the most concern is the required disk space. Keeping in mind that we conduct 13 firewalls and the same number of probes IPS really do we have 2 TB of storage. As a virtual machine environment, we run the chances of getting that are slim to zero.
What have people found is a realistic requirement for storage - I am only interested in keep logs for 3 months as firewall logs are written directly in a device of qradar.
I can get the cpu and memory without problems, but there is a sticking point in space...
Must be run on Server 2008 or it can run on 2003 instead.
    Thanks in advance
    Giles Cooper

    Giles;

Specifications that reference you are tips for a better performance - disk space is much more important because of the new event monitor component added to the SCM 4.0.

The minimum requirements are described in the found here deployment guide:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/security_management/cisco_security_manager/security_manager/4.0/deployment/guide/cmsdg40.html#wp43544

Highlights indicate that you need a minimum of 10 GB of free space of HDD, and Windows Server 2003 is supported.

I hope this helps to clarify your questions.

  • Platform of Cloud and virtualization of the remote components

    Hello

I intend to build a platform of central to America Movil monitoring (the cellular giant with operations in the Mexico, Central and South America)

I need to know what I need to make requests in the platform available to Clusters of surveillance, which will be deployed in the vrious regions.

To the ends of the distance, there will be a number of probes of surveillance in the countries served by the regional groupings.

The centralized platform can be considered as a private cloud and my guess is software could be transferred, as well as in regional groups.

Could you please guide me to the right products to use for this case of virtualization Cloud?

    Thank you very much

I would get this authorized. You have several regional offices, and you have a central office. You want to host a private out of central office cloud and make resources available to offices regional or you want to have servers in the respective regional offices and handled it with tools of your central office?

  • Satellite A100-311 changed PA-number / series & VirtualSound prob. after repair

    Hello
My SATELLITE A100-311/PSAA9E-11L047GR has been in a repair under warranty by a Toshiba service partner.
They said they changed the motherboard. The reason is, there not the Bios boot (5.20), which is actually on the Board, too.
My problem is that I want to update the driver VirtualSound, but the installation routine fails with the message that my Toshiba laptop does not support no matter what VirtualSound. He was even preinstalled, as I bought...
If I was going to check the type of systemboard that they have installed. I used the Toshiba tool that shows any kind of material, driver etc. that exist.
I did as the nr PSAA9E-11L047GR expected. is now a PSB10U-SA10ES1. Also the serial number is like a standard: "12345678901234567" and not my actual serial number. If I go to look for any driver, bios, or h.e. on basis of this rating, of course it is not properly entered.
I have contact service engineer and he assures me that they replaced the Board with the same kind of room and wrote good "DMI" (?) on the new Board of Directors. His response was that I need to run the recovery procedure, but I do not believe that this will change anything.

    My questions are:
That is, the system shows me such a serial number and the number of PA?
I trust the service engineer the label under the laptop beyond important for me, for example. by making updates?
And why is the message that my Toshiba laptop does not support any VirtualSound?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello

DMI information is stored on the system board and the DMI string contains, among other things, the model number of the system.
If the number is wrong and does not correspond with the recovery CD then you will not be able to install the recovery CD.

So I advise to use your old recovery CD. If this will not work, you can contact ASP guys and tell them about this problem

  • Residential group number! I can't change the password or leave the group. Convenience store can not solve the prob

I did a clean install of OS win7 ultimate. If I try to change the PW, it says that windows cannot configure a homegroup on this computer... but still, he said that this computer belongs to a homegroup. If I try to leave the homegroup, it says windows could not remove the computer from the group. Troubleshooting, declare that the Peer Name Resolution Protocol service or peer network identity Manager is not open. If I go in services, it shows that the NIBPM is automatic and the PNRP protocol is manual. If I try to start the PNRP protocol, it is said that windows didn't start the service because of the error code # 0 x 80630801. Peer Networking Grouping also gets error code # 1068.

    Hello

On the Start Menu, open the control panel and open Folder Options.  Click on the view tab, check the radio button titled "Show hidden files, folders and drives" and out the box "Hide extensions of known file types".  Click on apply to apply these changes.

Then go to C\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming to Local disk and open the PeerNetworking folder.  Inside, you should see a file called idstore.sst.  Delete this file.  Close this window and return to Folder Options then re - hide hidden files folders and drives and extensions of known file types.

Restart the PC and let Windows load completely.

Now, check if the following services appear as shown below, and if they are not, if you can set them up now.

Peer Networking Grouping this should see the service type as Manual and the service is expected to show that started.

HomeGroup Provider should show as Manual startup type, and the service should show as started.

Peer name resolution should see commissioning type as Manual and the service is expected to show that started.

Peer Networking Identity Manager should display type as Manual startup and service should show as started.

If they are all able to start, or have already started, see if Homegroup now works properly.

    Kind regards

  • What serial number has my Satellite L650-1N8?

Yo, after a fatal HD crash I need a backup of Toshiba. The problem is... the series is rubbed down - so I have no idea what the number...

The Satellite L650-1N8. So, if someone has an idea of what I can do... I would be happy. ;)

Another prob - when I tryd to install Win7 x 64 Windows key is 'invalid '... I have therefore no chance to install the OS without to by a new one.

    welcome them

    ZeT

There are a few specific tolls of Toshiba which can provide information on the serial number of your machine.
Install Win7 clean and install most drivers, tools and utilities. When you install Toshiba value added package included tool n this package is Toshiba PC diagnostic tool.
When it start checking basic information and you will find the serial number. Using this number, you can order original recovery disk-https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

You're right about the windows key. You have the windows key that belongs to the original recovery image and cannot be used for activation if you try to install the version of the own BONE.

  • Digital indicator rounded to the nearest whole number

I have a digital indicator for a 2D double table, and when I play with the display Format in the properties of the indicator, I can adjust to show the 3 digits of precision. However on the indicator, I find myself just get something like 1548.000. However, it did not make sense to me that this number would not have some amount of non zero decimal places, and when I probe the wire table 2d, enter the flag during the race, I can see that the number should actually be something like 1548.315... Is there a rounding adjustment when I checked that I can't find? (The indicator is set to U16) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Colin

Of course I answered my own question as soon as I post. I realized that I wrote that the indicator is U16 that that was my problem, change to the dual representation to be fixed. Sorry for this pointless topic.

  • Probe provides incorrect information on the status of the queue

In LabVIEW 2009, the probe provides incorrect information on the status of the queue. I got and queue without name, did a Flush queue and queue 5 times zero double precision values. Function Get queue status display 5 items in the queue, but a probe placed on the queue outside (queue Refnum) wire displays:

    "queue [11] out without name - 0 items from queue - 0xbd600008"

I can't get a probe to correctly display the number of items in the queue when I place it on one of the queues of the son.

Why the probe displays a number of items in the queue?

    dbaechtel wrote:

Why the probe displays a number of items in the queue?

It's a bug.  I was able to reproduce the results of dbaechtel.  I tried to fathom in several places and got "0 queue" in all places.  Name of the queue does not affect the outcome of the probe.  It must be a bug.  However, the elements # in the output queue of the waiting state is correct.

    Hello mayank18,

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I understand there is an error in the kernel, and from what you have described, it seems that you cannot restore. I'm sure that it is a hardware problem on the computer. I would try everything in this document to try to solve this: Troubleshooting HP System Recovery problems (Windows 8)

But seriously, I call HP support by phone as well as the material can be sent. You can use this Web site for information about how to contact HP properly, based on your region: Contact HP worldwide

  • Number of evil which used chain analysis

    Hello

I know there are a lot of discussions about string to a number. But none would really help me.

I use 'analysis of the chain' in my vi for a number. Noramlly which still works, but I have a problem, this time.

As you can see on the hands of the attached picture 'analysis of string' wrong number.

Prob 45 shows a string with the 30th 30.0300 + 3 but after analysis of the chain is just a 2. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you for your help

    It's to find the 2 in Chan2.

  • ActiveX refnum probe custom in the numeric form

    Hi all

OK this can be simple or impossible, but I can't understand it.

When you explore a thread of refnum ActiveX on the diagram, it shows a unique number (or 0 if its not valid).  This is useful if the refnum changes (like walking through an XML using DOMDocument)

However when I tried to make a customized probe, the probe is refnum control icon if you do not see a number.  This doesn't help me.  I tried to change this control in the custom to a digital probe, but it breaks.  (in fact when I tried to use a table as the probe custom LV2010 for a table of refnum, it gave me a message about incompatible type and then it crashed)

Is there a way to show the number of the refnum in a custom probe?  I guess it would be the same as showing the number instead of the control in a regular front diagram, so maybe he has to be separated first, but how the probe simple builtin it do?

On a side note, using the window spy Probe, 1 d or 2D tables, the probe display just a single element.  Is there a way to expand the table to display more than 1 item in this window? All values on the left side in a single line, but with 2D especially tables it's hard to see where the next column starts.

    Thanks for your help.

    TS9,

Please refer to the following Knowledge Base when you attempt to display a value of refnum in labview. Using type cast to U32 I could extract the refnum and the output of an indicator number using the following code. I had to make the display format of the hexadecimal indicator; You can do this by clicking the indicator and click the display format.

You can use this idea when you create a custom probe. Make sure you select 'New'... custom probe (and select new probe). This will create a vi with a panel front and block diagram. You could create a custom probe that does the same thing as this indicator.

    I hope this helps.

  • Impossible to check the FPGA reference with "not a number/path/Refnum?

How can I check if an FPGA interface refnum is valid?  It seems (LabVIEW 2009) that "Not a number/path/Refnum?" always returns true when connected to the output of open FPGA VI reference.  I write code that needs to be able to run without an FPGA for testing purposes, so I wrapped all calls to the FPGA in a case structure that I thought would run only if the FPGA reference is valid.  Turns out that they run ever, even when the FPGA reference is valid (probe shows it has a numerical value, and the FPGA VI is running).  I guess it's sort of similar to semaphore and appointment of references that have their own special function to verify the validity, but I do not see such a function for FPGA.  I have to cast to int and check if it is not equal to zero?

  • I have a prob. in the update of the 7 3 microsoft service Pack

I have a window clerk update prob a mistake in a pack of ser microft office 7. Please guide me what I do?

    Hi ashish_maniar,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         What is the full error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

You cannot install some programs or updates

  • Probs windows activation... Help, please!

After having probs with my computer, I decided to repair my windows xp using the original cd. I did a reinstall, I fixed the files just to hopefully solve my problem and keep all my data. Now, the installation went well but now I have a problem on my computer. When I try to connect I get "this copy of windows must be activated with microsoft before you can log in. You want to activate windows now? "When I select Yes need me just to my empty office and nothing happens. After a quick google it seems that its because I don't have IE 8 is installed. people to have circumvented by putting the installation file of the Explorer on a USB stick (after downloading another comp), then from the problem pc in safe mode, installed the file and then restarted. Aftr the prompt mentioned above, he apparently then takes you to microsoft whee you can activate.

The problem is when I try to start in safe mode it doesn't. I press f8 to start high and select Safe mode, but he continues to go to a screen saying windows did not start successfully and gives me the option to select the etc SafeMode still but it always comes back to the screen if I select anything except start windows normally.
Any ideas? Its driving me nuts and it should sort as soon as possible.

    Thank you very much
    Gas

The reboot is probably the result of a BSOD - unfortunately, the option "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" in ony start menu will allow to start in Normal Mode later.

From the sound of it, you have a number of problems resulting from your attempts to patch on the system.

Seriously, I would say that the time has come to consider a clean install after you back up the data on an external drive.
