  AFAIK, you can't link to a local file, except via the script, which is awkward.  You can put a file in Dropbox and copy / paste the public link to this file in connection of numbers. By default, clicking the cell number will download the file from Dropbox, which may or may not be what you want.

  I have a list of phone numbers in a single column. Some cells have 1 phone number, some have 2, and some have 0. Cells with 2 phone numbers are separated by semicolons.

  I need all the phone numbers in a single column with 1 phone number in each row. The order does not matter, so I'll "Sort Ascending" once completed to get rid of the empty cells with no phone number.

  I need a function that takes the numbers after the comma and puts them on their own line in the same column.

  Note that the numbers are in the format: + 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx so if please be aware formatting as text and not as a mathematical equation.

  Easy enough, as long as all entries are accurate according to the format you described. Here are two examples, all tous deux two on the same table. The selected cells are part of the first example and are not used in the second.

  

  End of flag: The two examples use the flag to end on the A11 to indicate when the formulas have reached the end of the list. As entered flag consists of eight occurrences of the text "end" (including the trailing space), with the final space deleted. This will be assimilated by the formula two phone numbers, provide an indicator of the end of each list.
  

  
  

  Example 1:

  Separates the first phone number in column B using this formula in B2, filled up to the last line containing a phone number in column A (or the line beyond if you want that the flag of the 'end').

  B2: = IF (LEN (A) < 1", LEFT(A,15))

  Len (A) checks no entry in its ranks. If that is found, IF put a string NULL. If there is an entry, LEFT out the first 15 characters.

  The second n phone number each line is copied into column C with this similar formula in C2 and filled up to the last line containing an entry in column A.

  C2: is equal to IF (LEN (A) < 16", RIGHT(A,15))

  If there are two numbers in this line from A cell, the semi colon will be the 16th character.

  After having extracted the numbers in two columns:

  Select all the cells in column B of B2 on the last containing a B10 number in this example). Copy.

  Go menu Edition > paste formula results

  Select all the cells in column C of C2 on the last containing a number C10). Copy.

  Click once on the empty cell in column B, following the list of the "first numbers" (B11 in this example).

  Go to edit > paste the results of the formulas.

  You can now sort the table according to the values (telephone numbers) in column B.

  Example 2:

  Separates the first phone number in column B using this formula in B2, filled up to the last line containing a phone number in column A (or the line beyond if you want that the flag of the 'end').

  Note that because this version of the formula is not on the same line as the EMF of the cell that is copied the phone number, it must the line included in the references.

  When the terminator is reached:

  Click on each of the cells that contain the end flags, and then press DELETE to remove the flags from the list.

  Select all THE cells B2 at the end of the list of telephone numbers. Copy.

  Go menu Edition > paste formula results

  With replaced by their latest results calculated formulas, you can now sort the table on column B.

  I insert the sum function at the bottom of the column of numbers and format of the 'number' cell, but a time returns endlessly rather than the total of the figures, and there is no date/time in the column itself. Any ideas please?

• iCloud not synchronization of documents for mac numbers

  I have the updates on iPhone and Macbook Pro, but when I change a spreadsheet on my iOS device it updates iCloud.com but not my MacBook Pro. Some of my numbers of documents shown in the window of the Finder of numbers have sketched a point cloud and the other has a double cloud solid with an arrow pointing down. The one with the arrow does not open on my MacBook Pro. Cloud of points aligned documents will be open, but are not updated. I checked iCloud.com and have all my numbers documents the most recent changes. I have numbers checked in my Mac system preferences and have not had a problem of sync until recently.

  Do you receive an error message when you try to open the document of clouds on the Mac?

  I type numbers on NCDs lion 10.8.5 on my mac pro and I've made a few changes to a table of numbers distributed and now it will not sort columns by go up or down.

  I shared a few lines so I could keep track of what is taught to my students on a weekly basis and I even divided the weeks in 2 rows, as many of my students see me 2 x per week and are in types of different classes (see screenshot), because I did it when I right click on columns (a - C) where I have the time to class numbers will not let me click to sort. It is important that I can easily click and sort all students depending on the day / time they are coming.

  Numbers will not sort the merged cells (or split).

  Fusion (or separation) cells allows an easy-to-read 'format', but it is best to keep your table "workaholic" single.

  Best practice is to make each line a complete file (name of the student, week, lesson or other).

• 4th gen Apple TV cannot pair with iphone remote app

  Click on 'Add Apple TV' selected on TV, then was invited to enter the 4 numbers matching password shown on television. However the TV shows 4 blocks of gray rectangle instead of 4 digits.

  I also checked that the apple TV and iphone are on the last OS update. What gives? This app is supposed to work with 4th gen now.

  Yes, it works. This looks like some weird glitch. Using the new application ATV 4 remote control (black), or the older version, now called iTunes remotely? Try restarting the ATV using the settings > system > restart. Then try to pair it again.

  I have a financial spreadsheet that I want to shoot the numbers a second sheet that has a book running.  Ideally, I would like to have a book current running year round.  I can't figure out how to write a SUMIFS formula. For example, I want the cell to add the numbers between 1 August and 31 August which are "local contributions.

  Then, I'll have another column for September and I want the cell to make all contributions local between 1 September and 30 September... etc.

  How is your document organized?

  I see a few possible sticking points and have some questions about the entire organization.

  Column D of low table contains three types of data: text time values ('Dates', ' Check # ") and numbers.

  Pick-up points are not dated.

  Some categories are listed in column A, others in column B in the summary table, which complicates the construction of the status of the category.

  1st row seems to contain a single merged cell. Numbers doesn't handle well merged cells and general advice in this forum was to avoid if possible.

  On the upper table (summary), the cells containing the month and year appear to contain values of time, put in shape to show only the month and year. If so, the values in these cells can be used to compare with the dates in column D of the overall picture as one of the conditions SUMIFS.

  How many times the third tab/sheet is duplicated to create a new worksheet "power book"? (The label in line 1 of table book suggests it happens once a month, with a new race of ledger sheet (and table) for each calendar month).

  Are there duplicate names in the categories for items of products and expenses? (for example. 'Various')

  The General form of SUMIFS by category, date or after, dates before three conditions is as follows:

  SUMIFS (sum of the values, test values, condition, test values, condition, test values, condition)

  For arrays. the formula in the column of June 2016 of the summary table, then filled to the bottom, would be:

  SUMIFS (RL::TI: $H, RL::TI: $F, "="& $A and $B, RL::TI: $D, "> =" & I$ 1, RL::TI: $D, "<" & EOMONTH(A1,0) will GET (I$ 1.0) + 1)

  To compact the formula for display here, I used only initials for names of journal and the Table where they are needed. Replace with the actual names of the sheet and the table in each case.

  RL = accounting running

  I have$ 1 is the address of the cell (I1) on the summary table containing the Date/time value June 1, 2016 00:00:00 (entered and displayed as June 16).

  $ is the operator of absolute reference, which retains all the column references (with the exception of 'I') locked when columns are added to the summary table and the part of the line of the I2 (eye-2) reference fixed rank 1, the formula is filled down his spine.

  EOMONTH(A1,0) will GET (I$ 1.0) + 1 calculates the value of time of the last day of the month in I1 and adds a day.

  The formula has not been tested, but should work on the income of the values is the table indicated in your post and return 0 results (or error triangles) for categories of lines until the dates are given in these lines in column D of the running of the expenditure accounting table.

  I made a simple worksheet with simple calculations, but insists a 'wild' red triangle by not going not far from saying that "numbers can be divided by zero. But my problem is that I do not have the numbers to be placed in the cells again. I am planning a cost for my small store journal. Is there not an OU "IF" formula, a formula of "conditioning" that prevents the red triangle to appear?

  Assuming that it resembles your situation:

  

  D2 = B2÷C2

  that occurs because and empty cell will return zero

  You can solve this by:

  (1) ignore OR

  (2) use the formula

  = SIERREUR (B2÷C2, "")

  OR

  (3) use the formula

  If (C2 = 0, "", B2÷C2)

• How to format the text vertical line head

  I have a spreadsheet of list of control with a large number of lines. Since I fill the cells with ✓ or keep them empty I would transform the text of head of line in vertical direction to get the width of the worksheet as small as possible.
