  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

• computer in question being, trying to download the latest update (kb981852) whenever I have download nothing is updated and the security symbol remains (yellow shield of windows).

  Hi, I bought Vista 64 bit earlier and it almost made me for the mac, but when I first tried win7 beta and it was great on a lower technical platform and could not wait for full details. so, I bought a brand new platform last i7 CPU and 6 GB DDR 3 channels and the latest Nvidia 275GTX 1765 MB Vram Grfx and could not do more than what was and is still ongoing. I installed my new win 7 64 bit 1 and was a bit off on how he has been slow to version beta on a platform nearly 5 years I used 7800GTX Athlon 64 4200, as what are you do looks great and moves faster than this in. * Vista. All my old game where _ while people with nearly the same and less spec flight here by so I switched to the 32 bit (good by my 3 extra GB installed) running.   OK, here's the deal up to people last night using the Internet explorer 8 when you visit a Web site, I maintain when he is able to listen to audio very well via the built-in flash player I have on the view.   I have installed the latest updates and it did not even to the part where he set up after a reboot.  Now I'm stuck in safe mode and no alternative.  Updates are not listed in the list of installed updates and I tried to do a repair of the system from the installation cd and I'm tempted to do a restore system since the day before two weeks before updates.  Nothing works.  Any suggestions will help!  I'd hate to reinstall because I have no backup support.

  Update: the event log has nothing in it to try to start safe mode.  If the problem occurs before the event log service was started.  I tried to uncheck all part 3 applications and services in msconfig.  I'm out of ideas.  Someone has everything?

  It seems to be a problem with the hardware. I suggest you try to uninstall and reinstall the CD/DVD driver and check if it helps.

  Please make sure that you gave permission for the folders listed in the article, follow these steps.

  1 - give read and write permissions for the Application Support folder and preferably on User Library and the secret library.

  2 - Add user and admin both permissions.

  When you open the Get Info option for specific folder.

  Make sure you click on '+' symbol, it will open the list of user accounts. Add currently logged in user account and Director of user account, if it is not added.

  Both must have read and write to prevent access these some questions in the future.

  Important:

  Once you added as currently logged on user account and administrator user accounts and provided access for reading and writing.

  Make sure you click on the gear icon and select apply to closed.

  Lock dialog box and close the Get Info .

  So that all the folders in the folder Adobe will get read and write access.
