An Eicon Diva ISDN USB modem is connected to a USB port.

When certain devices connected to a different USB port are deleted (even if removed safely with "eject" or "remove device safely", it causes the ISDN modem to file either a double channel (64 k + 64 k) ISDN, or for the ISDM modem to disconnect completely.)

Cause this include any memory stick USB, MP3 player (ipod and creative zen) and so on.

In this case and the case above, the only way to get the modem ISDN USB running again is physically disconnect and reconnect.

The reason why it is a crucial issue is that:

    Hello

I have Satellite M70-159 and I didn t notice any strange problems with the USB ports. I use a few of them as printer, webcam, USB, memory stick, optical mouse, and external HARD drive. The devices are recognized correctly and I always remove without option delete without danger.

Now I have Vista pre-installed and there is no problem so far. If I understand you right USB ports work fine but there is problem with USB modem only. Am I wrong?
Also try to contact the producer of modem support. Is perhaps the question like this known and if all goes well, they have a logical explanation.

  • Is AT200 - possible to connect USB devices?

    Hi all

I bought last week a Tablet AT200-100 (in Spain), and a few days ago I also bought an adapter for USB cable for it. I've seen (at least that is what I understood) that it is possible to connect devices to the Tablet (as a host).

Well, I tried with two cables different and two different pills (I went back one and got another), and I can't get it to work.
I hope you can help, maybe I'm doing something wrong...

I used a micro USB B (plug) to USB (plug) adapter, and I tried to connect a USB keyboard, mouse and an external hard drive. Everything seems to work, nothing doesn't appear on the screen, and nothing new appears in the file manager. The light devices has never lit at all.

Is it necessary to install something before? To activate something?
    I use a bad cable?

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

The AT200 seems to be equipped with a USB port of microfiber that support OTG technology.
Allows you to connect the key USB and HID (keyboard and mouse).
This port is USB 2.0 compliant.

To connect a USB (memory flash USB, keyboard or mouse), you must use a cable OTG (USB On-The-Go). The cable must be certified USB ON-THE-GO.
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_On-the-go

PS: this Tablet does not support a printer and as I know the operation of the port of USB devices was not confirmed for some USB devices may not work correctly.

  • Satellite A200: Cannot properly use external USB devices

I encountered a problem with my Toshiba laptop and I can't fix it, and I'm in need your help please...
The problem is that when I connect a USB portable device (an external hard drive, USB, iPod, Flash memory... etc) with more than 8 GB of memory...
It is not properly installed in the Device Manager and appears under "USB bus controllers.

But it does not say that it is an unknown device. It normally appears with his name, but he is not properly installed (it does not say that either) where it is supposed to be a camera under "imaging devices" in a specific category (hard drive under "drives"), and so on

And I can't use the unit because the HARD disk does not appear in 'My computer' and my iPod cannot be used

I would like to inform you that this problem is with all USB devices with more than 8 GB of memory.
Not a single device. I tried a lot of features to ensure that it is not a problem with the unit.

So this is a problem with my laptop and I installed Windows several times but no progress.
Thanks for your help in advance...

    Is it XP or Vista?

If its XP, make sure you have at least Service Pack 2.
This hotfix can help XP see large capacity media:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/934428
but that doesn't really affect USB external HDD.

  • Satellite L500 - nothing happens if I eject a USB device

I just bought a Satellite L500 with Windows 7 pre-installed. When I try to eject USB - memory stick devices and a mobile modem, nothing happens and the indicators on the devices show that they are always connected. My old laptop with XP was capable of shut-off devices.

The devices work properly when inserted. What is a problem with Windows 7, or what I need to change a setting somewhere?

    Hello

I started a similar thread and you must follow these instructions:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums//thread.jspa?threadID=49159

In your case, I would try too update the BIOS and load default settings there.

    Hello

Have you noticed yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager next to USB host controllers?
    Check it!

Even if the yellow exclamation points are not visible in the Device Manager I recommend to remove the USB host controllers and root device manager USB hubs and restart the laptop again.
Wait that all USB controllers will be recognized by Windows and retest your external USB devices.

    Good bye

  • USB device not recognized... Unplug the thing does NOT work

It baffles me that THOUSANDS of people have this problem, or a variant of it, and no ONE at Microsoft or elsewhere also offers a real solution. Unless of course you want to count the method "unplug your computer", which is the most foolish band-aid for a problem I never heard, even if it works for a lot of people (most). I, unfortunately, am one of those for which the "disconnect" method magic does NOT work. I tried everything what all other posters and responder suggested (BIOS upgrade, change Legacy BIOS definition Enable to disable to activate again, driver updates, uninstall all USB, full power down and restart hours later, use CMD prompt to show only devices, etc.) and do not know what else to try. I would really like to see a REAL answer as to the cause of the majority of the questions posted about the USB error outside the usual "restore your settings, use your restore disk, unplug it, replace your USB key, etc etc etc. HEY! MICROSOFT! SOLVE THE PROBLEM! OR, Hey, here's an idea, a news for you, I'm sure that... don't they exude products until they have been tested (NO! I mean really, fully tested [see XBox 360 RROD])

In case anyone reading this is a real working solution, I'm on a Toshiba A135-S2386, Vista Home, and each USB port is unusable on any device. All ports feeds the device and noise sounds to indicate that a USB device was attached and then proceeds to the display of the error "USB device not recognized" and shows and shows an unknown device connected. It does this for any USB device.

FINALLY: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT POST A REPLY IF YOU USED THE METHOD OF "DISCONNECT", AND IT WORKED. Grats to you for fixing your computer, but I can just not read another 400 posts of "wow it worked for me great fantastic" when it does NOT work for everyone. I need something new and real. (Sorry to be all grumpy, but I'm tired of these kinds of problems from companies making billions off the coast of junk, defective, half finished, produced a car!) "You listen to Bill?)

UPDATE: just ran a scan of the system file Confirmation via an administrator command prompt and it's clean...
ALSO - was not that before, but now whenever I do a complete power down / reboot thing that it gives me a "Bad Checksum" error and I have to reset the date and time in the BIOS. I need to change the battery in MB? As I said it did not have this before and the USB error was produced, but could this be the problem? Bad battery MB CMOS?

The bios of your motherboard is probably damaged.

step 1. See if you can find a previous version of the bios of your motherboard and return date of the bios.

step 2. Find the latest version of the bios of your motherboard and update your bios.

Do not use a registered version of your current version.

To check the problem is the motherboard or operating system. find something like a live Ubuntu CD

    http://www.Ubuntu.com/desktop/get-Ubuntu/download.

    or

Make a Ultimate Boot CD for Windows

http://www.UBCD4Win.com/index.htm you are using windows xp or borrow a copy to UBD4WIN.

Both of the above run in memory (does not load on hard drive.

Both a bit slow, but are excellent tools.

    Works like a normal computer.

If you can see you USB devices, magicjack, ETC. your BIOS is not corrupt or motherboard problem.

In normal windows if you see not the USB devices, magicjack, etc your windows install is corrupt.

    Reload Windows of difficulty.

If you you do not see the magicjack, USB devices, ETC., your BIOS is corrupt motherboard or other problem.

Redo your BIOS as described above.

All other unwanted do not work , he was done !

  • UNRECOGNIZED USB DEVICE

whenever I plug in or UN plug or anything I do, I got error msg this USB device not recognized frequently for these last two days.

My laptop is Sony Vaio CS 17 with Windows VISTA Home Premium

    Please aswaer

Do you have anything plugged USB? Try this:

UNINSTALL ALL USB ASSOCIATED ENTRIES IN THE DEVICE (COOL CACHE) MANAGER

    1. click on START
    2. right click "Computer" and select "Properties".
    3. on the left side, click on Device Manager.
    4. expand the 'USB Bus controllers' category
    5. right click and uninstall all THE references listed
    6. completely shut down your computer, unplug the power adapter (charger) out of the wall, turn the laptop and remove the battery. Let rest for about 5-6 min. This gives time for the memory cache to completely empty (a bit like clean which is in temporary memory)
    7 turn on the laptop

    Let us know what happens.

  • HP Photosmart print 7520 all in one printer each time I receive error USB device

My product is a printer all-in-one Photosmart HP 7520.  I bought on Wednesday, July 30, 2014.  Whenever I have print something a yellow triangle with an exclamation point appears on the screen of the printer and it says "USB device not compatible or not disk hard/mass storage mode.  Remove device or insert into the disk drive.  It still prints well.  A I mess something up during the game?

    Hi maggie101952,

Thank you for the information on the computer.

I would like to run a few things with you and with a little luck, we can get to the bottom of this issue.

You have a memory card or a USB key connected to the printer?  If Yes, please remove and restart the printer.  Try printing without anything cards or USB connected.

If is not the case, I'll give you the link for HP Photosmart 7520 series firmware update.  If the error is still popping up, the issue could be with the product it self.  I suggest you then call HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

    Thank you for your time.

    See you soon,.

  • Windows detects the USB device slowly.

    Separated from this thread.

I have this problem on a Panasonic F1 - GZ Toughpad. It has a USB 3 port. It has 8 GB of memory, less than half used and it works my a request.

The USB device is a FTDI USB KEY. This is a feature of full speed USB 2 (12 MB/s) according to the data sheet.

When I plug a FTDI USB - KEY, it takes several seconds to detect the USB STICK. Also, it takes several seconds to detect when the USB STICK is disconnected.

However, when I plug in a hub USB, plug the USB STICK in the hub, the detection is less than a second and the detection to be disconnected is less than a second.

I can't use a USB hub as a work-around, because it is a portable application. Perhaps some of you could use a hub as a workaround. ... If someone has an answer to reduce response time, please let me know.

The problem was solved by changing the parameters of the Toughpad BIOS for USB 3.0 to 2.0. Now the Toughpad detects the FTDI USB KEY in<1>

Please note in the previous post, the USB hub is powered and the FTDI USB KEY is not memory flash, it's a serial USB port with a serial number, but only the serial number is available.

  • PowerEdge 2850 message error, no display, usb devices do not work and all readers are off (a little)

Hello! I'm here in the dell community because I'm having an error with a PowerEdge 2850 server. When I boot it all seems to work, but inspection closer both blue and yellow led on the front is off. All devices (such as a keyboard) will not turn on. Supplies seems to work perfectly well with the error led out of power and both of the Green led on the power supply on. The drives at the front lights up but then after 2 seconds the led for every hard drive goes off and then when you reconnect the drives it will be on for 2 seconds then turns off.

    I tried:

Reset all RAM chips and CPU in the case

Replugin all hard drives from the server

    I tried multiple monitors

has tried just using the power supply instead of the power brick or a surge protector

and tried to run it only out of a raid, everything ends up in the same result

I have no idea what to do so im just going to ask the community of dell. Thank you!

    Hello.

What is the error specific are you? Try the system at least to the POST with the following components:

    • System Board
    • Processor
    • A bar of memory in DIMM1-A or B-DIMM1
    • Power supply
    • Riser
    • Control Panel and bottom of basket (necessary only when the last power state was off. Ensure that all USB devices, including the keyboard are disconnected.
  • Why not my Macbook Pro to manage over 3 USB devices?

To make music, I need 3 usb devices. However, my macbook has only 2 usb ports. I thought that using a hub usb can help, but every time I plug 3 devices (one on macbook and usb hub with two usb devices), one of the devices does not work.

For example, I have an audio interface, a mouse and a keyboard. When all three are connected, the midi keyboard does not work (is not recognized). When I unplug the mouse, the keyboard is recognized.

There is no work around for this? It would be a problem with my usb hub?

The devices have their own supply or is the hub, a powered hub? If it's a powered hub connecting all three devices inside.

  • C870-14 t and Win7 - undetected webcam - USB device unknown satellite

    Hello

Since then, the webcam on my wife's cell phone is no longer in effect.

I checked the Device Manager and I have a unknown USB device. so I downloaded the drivers on the Toshiba site.
After installation, the web cam HD made its appearance in the Imaging section.
When I run the software Toshiba "application web camera" she lights the camera then the blackout.

I check back up Device Manager, USB unknown device is in the list and "HD Caméra" disappear...

Of course, I would avoid the reinstallation

It is not easy to say what the problem is here especially if the cam is detected by the system, again and again. It seems that the system can detect the device connected, but it is confusing to me why preinstalled driver works correctly.

At first try please enter the BIOS settings and check if there is option for webcam. If yes do not forget it is activated correctly.
Try to please repeat the action with the installation of the driver just to see if the same thing will happen again.
In the case where this webcam is properly recognized again try to test it with another application like Skype webcam. The same thing happens again?

  • Satellite Pro m USB devices connection problems

    Hello visitors and insiders.

can someone help me, please? - or are the causes of the problems of programmed BIOS is not perfect?

I put on the USB Ports (I tried all 3 Ports) after correct installation of the most recent drivers for devices and the BIOS and chipset.
I tried MAGIX encoder by USB and PINNACLE for USB encoder - both signal-request-problems and the two could not shut down the system after connecting with USB and close with her current for USB device.

I tried this on different WinXP installiations (multiboot) - but on all systems even.

The same reaction has been, as I have connected a special CUSHION cooler for laptop with additional USB Ports.
The CUSHION cooled - but the USB Ports do not work for all devices (devices I am familiar with the)
Ports of origin of the laptop, has failed to TRIM, too). (worked directly devices: mouse, webcam, keyboard, drive hard usb)

What should do? .. If anyone know Somethin ' help... I will be very happy.

Thank you very much!!! (Sorry for my English is not perfect)

    Ben

Is what model of laptop exactly?

Have you installed Windows yourself? Or it was preinstalled?

Looks like it's a software problem, bad drivers USB can at fault.

You are able to back up your data and run recovery?

  • Portege A100 PPA10A - update the BIOS to boot from a USB device

    Hello

I have an old Portege A100, model: PPA10A-0002LP, but I can't seem to find this model on any Web site of Toshiba, closest I've seen is the "PPA10A - 0002 L'.

I am wanting to know if there is a BIOS update that will allow me to boot from a USB device.

The question I have is that I need to reinstall Windows, but the CD ROm cannot read disks.
This network PXE boot, but I'm new to this sort of thing and have absolutely no idea what to do here.

    Any help would be great,

    Thank you

    Hello

Portege A100 seems to be developed solely for the Australian market.
As you say it is a model number Portege A100 PPA10A - 0002L listed on the Australian page of Toshiba Portege A100 PPA10A-0002LP belongs to the same series which is PPA10A
So in my opinion, the BIOS should work too.

Anyway, I doubt that the BIOS update will add boot options.

Usually the BIOS supports booting from CD/DVD drive, drive HARD, LAN and USB FDD.
It should be possible to boot from a boot disk using a USB FDD drive.
I doubt you'd be able to boot from USB WEIRD since this Portege A100 supports an internal CD/DVD drive.
