  In the configuration of the OBIEE + Planner, iBots tab, I can format several servers in the OBI Presentation Server to activate the load balancing.
  
  For example, if I fill in A:9677, B:9700 in this area, any job ibot initiated by the Scheduler will be submitted to anyone of the 2 servers randomly.
  
  However, in the journal of the iBot, I can see that where the presentation server is down (say Appendix A), if the iBot work is chosen at random to be presented to A:9677, even I put number of attempts is 2, all 2 events will be also directed to A:9677.

  The alert / err msg you mentioned are not considered to be a failure causing the switch to another BI CH provision, given that "Authentication failure" means users can not even connect and 'Unresolved Table' is not the kind of failures.

  I try to install OBIEE on a Linux machine. The repository was created using a Windows PC on a separate Oracle data base on another server.
  
  I have four of the five components OBI running, but I get this error message Scheduler.

  I checked the configuration and there is nothing wrong with that, more connectivity between the weblogic server and the Linux server and it checked. Also, I don't have any Enterprise edition, everything I do is at the level of the console under Linux.

  You mustn't do something extra to have 'EM running in the instance of 11 g OBI. Although it is a deployed JEE application, if your server Weblogic (WLS) is launched and up and running then your Console EM should also be running.

  You say you do all that command line. Then, start the Weblogic Server, then go to http://< your="" server="" name=""> : 7001/console

  So which rises, will

  http://: 7001/em

  That's your Console of Fusion EM and it should come as well.

  Don't mess with the XML file directly.

• OBIEE Server unstable

  I have an environment of OBIEE 11g in a Linux server and this server and the DB server recently had his IP has changed.

  After searching on Google for that I have to change to update connections to database files, I found the following:

  1. Check Connection dattabase properties XML files to the following location

  / Middleware/user_projects/domain/bifoundation_domain/config/jdbc

  2. check the DB connection string and credentials in localhost:7001 / page em > coreapplication > deployment > Planner page

  for oracle DB:

  Database: Oracle 11g

  Call the interface: Oracle 10g R1/R2

  DataSource: (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost) (PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME = orcl)))

  Username: DEV_BIPLATFORM

  Password: __________

  3. restart the server

  I did all the steps above to update the DB connection and everything seems to go well except when I try to access the URL of the Publisher BI http:// < < newIP > >: 9704/xmlpserver /

  I got the error "server not initialized. Please make sure that the repository is ready. »

  Is there another file or setting change put in order?

  It seems that I found the problem with the service of Essbase. After glance in hosts file in the folder/etc has noticed that the old IP address was still there. The problem disappeared after update again and there is no more zombie process.

  I installed Obiee 11 g(11.1.1.7 version) and client (11.1.1.7.140715 version). When I try to extract data from a flat file and create a SPR and try to deploy my services facilitator and Planner Java go down.why?

  On your connection in the bottom right screen, you should see a link: any product

  Which version is running on the server?

  If you have installed the tools to your customers from the homescreen in OBIEE, so you don't have a version conflict.

  If no conflict, then you have to connect to your Enterprise Manager and search logs the reasons why your host of java and the Planner are declining.

  In addition, if the error occurs on deployment - make sure your SPR passes control of consistency (CTRL + K).

• Sheduler OBIEE 10 G-email configuration

  I'm putting in place a response report planned by e-mails to users.

  So far, I have followed this OBIEE 10 G - BI Scheduler Configuration (to book). GerardNico.com (BI, OBIEE, data warehouse and OWB)http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/scheduler_configuration

  And I created an iBOT for an answer report and tested it work OK to deliver the report to the dashboard.

  Now, to deliver an e-mail, I followed this OBIEE 10 G / 11G - how to configure the e-mail server of Planner / provides. GerardNico.com (BI, OBIEE, OWB, DataWare... )

  So I set up an smtp email in Task - Scheduler configuration manager. It's a no smtp SSL and I tested the smtp on another application information to ensure that it is correct. I restarted presentation server and Scheduler in windows - service. But when I test the iBOT, I got following error message:

  [nQSError: 75005] Cannot send the AUTH command. 5.7.3 authentication fails.

  Any idea? I'm sure that the server smtp, port, username and password are correct because they work in another application. Thank you.

  Without the remote control will not work OBIEE 11g because the remote control allows you to install certain patterns in a database that are required by median Fusion as Oracle BI EE ware products. These schemas can be installed on any certified version of database such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2 database. There are patterns that are required by the main components of Oracle Fusion Middleware, although there are Oracle BI EE patterns requires, as the Planner, BI Publisher, for the new product of the scorecard.

  Note: You can install it without the remote, but we must approach below.

  WSM-MP application runs for the bi_server1 instance
  
  in localhost:7000 / console > services > data sources > mds-GOSA > testing... Admin test deployment server is failed with connection and bi_server1 connection is successful...

  I have a Virtual Machine (BI_Dev) with OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5) installed, but RCU patterns point to the database server (DB_Dev). Now I would like to clone the virtual machine of BI_Dev to BI_Prod.
  
  I can create schemas RCU running UCR in the DB_Prod database. But my question is how do we change BI_Prod to the point of these new patterns? What I need to change the configuration files OR other script that can do this for me?

  Connection of Weblogic Console with admin username/pwd.
  Goto services-> JDBC-> Data Sources.
  Select the Lock button & change
  Select the "bip_datasource" of Data Source link in the list of available data Sources
  Select the Connection Pool
  .... Change the URL. Pilot | Properties | Password
  Select Save button.

  GOLD,

  Go to WEblogic Enterprise Manager (http://: 7001/em /.) Then navigate to the folder of Business Intelligence-> coreapplication. Go in the "Deployment" tab and then to the tab 'Planner '. change the database field to point to the new DB and apply the changes.
