Occupation 7 Ultimate with svchost.exe high cpu performance

Running Windows 7 Ultimate and have high with svchost.exe process cpu occupancy rates.  No application does not work.  Over time, CPU 50%, and remains there with memory being occupied 809 000 K.

Does anyone have an idea of the cause?

  • Problem with svchost.exe

    The svchost.exe process uses a lot of memory and CPU. It goes up to and more than 300K. Services he treats are BITS, EventSystem, Nla, RasMan, SENSE.

    HI, a process svchost.exe on my wifes lappy running at 50-100% of the cpu all the time. There are a number of svchost running that seem fine except this one. Services that run the svchost are 'Plug and Play' and 'DCOMLaunch"... tried to stop each service individually, but it won't let me. Scanned with each virus prog and adware anti I have!. I had this problem on my pc a few months back and sorted but can't remember how!. She lappy is a HP Compaq 6720 s and runs Vista Home Basic... oh yes I also did msconfig and stopped everything that does not need to start!

    If it comes down to it, run a recovery, will be the best way to fix it, but you lose all the files... F11 at startup...

    I am running Windows Vista with 2 GB of RAM... Whenever I boot, the computer works well for a few moments, but performance falls so seriously...     This I know is not new to too many of us. Again - it's November 2013 and I would like to know how it happened AND what to do to fix it! Since 1997, I've built a lot of computers. I've never had this problem occur up to this relocation. Have reinstalled XP for XPSP3 several times. Don't waste time questioning my knowledge. Idem: components, motherboard, memory, nothing has CHANGED. The only thing that is different IS - when I finished installing Windows XP with Windows XPSP3 - tested the functionality - fast as * - magazine 'OBSERVER of EVENTS' - no problem, constantly check the CPU usage - low. My next step to activate Windows update to get updates to secure my system. Of course, the CPU spikes at 100% - due to a service request host CPU! I have to say - IF the meter would have a parameter to 200% - I have no doubt she would be higher than 100%. Even if I am sure of the rightness of my process to install the OS (once I've done several times over the years), I decided since I have not loaded any other thing - I format the drive (Nov 19) and start all over again. I'm sitting here today, with a computer case with components of audited operation, with a properly installed OS, motherboard drivers installed - do anything else and I can't do windows updates. Note: the first attempt install (17 Nov) - I tried the advice on Microsoft sites, the fix it systematic, installation recommended a version of net framework without result.     Follow these steps.

    Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel and double click on automatic updates.

    Check mark the option at the bottom to turn off the automatic updates.

    Click apply/OK, and then restart.

    Svchost consumes always 100% cycles CPU?

    If this is the case, follow these steps.

    Click Start, run, copy and paste this command and click OK: services.msc

    In the list of Services, you can see Background Intelligent Transfer Service ?

    If it is not listed, follow these steps to register the BITS service.

    Open the Windows search tool, copy / paste the following text, and then click Search: qmgr.dll

    Research should show this file in the following locations:

    If you get 2 error: cannot find the specified file, click on start, then run again and copy / paste the following command, and then click OK:

    HHmmmm bears ok I will answer your questions, but I don't really see the relivence of them for the progs anti, spy, virus, malware are not the problem.

Now NOD32 blocks the random addresses loading IE but it is very annoying seeing this thing pop up constantly. The only thing that it does not stop is when I use IE occasionally it will load a location for a Wal-Mart gift card, but I've just close it. If I use a different prog or any it constantly blocks the random addresses loading IE. I don't have IE loaded. Yes I have popups blockers, but it does not block another page being loaded on the card gift wlmart site. everything else works well.

    Please don't give me no matter what more links to the help pages for Microsoft because I already looked through them all and tried a lot of useful advice and none have worked. What I really need Bear is a set of instructions on what or the files to search posibly containing a script that gives orders to the system files to try and load IE maleware sites. I need to know where to look, what I'm looking for and how to rewrite or erase the command or script. Probly get rid of some files HKLM or commands too if there are orders as well. I'm sure you'll tell me its probly in both registry keys. in any case if you can help with a set of instructions on how manually enter and take care of the problem that would be great.

    I have seen the manual of instructions on how to repair scvhost.exe but I'll not go messin' and delete this file cause I know that you need so that windows run.     There are two likely explanations:

    1 malware (Christmas door on this topic and you gave good advice)

    2. a browser like a toolbar add-on

    You are using IE6, IE7 or IE8? You have installed SP3? If so, have you all post-SP3 installed security update? Have you tried to run Internet Explorer in no Add-ons mode?

  • SVChost.exe cpu issue with XP Pro after removal of Trojan

    My sister recently downloaded a virus on my computer. I removed the Trojan horse and have had problems with SVChost.exe are beginning to eat time CPU. This is usually triggered when I start Firefox. It may be unrelated, but I do not. I did a uninstall/reinstall on Firefox and now it will briefly be blip in the Task Manager process tab, but it disappears almost immediately.

    I service Pack3 on my machine, so I don't think it's the SVChost service Pack3 fixed problem. I ran a repair of XP once I have nuked the Trojan horse. I ran across the virus alarm area scan, adaware, and malwarebytes to make sure that the thing had gone gone gone.

    I did some research, and I don't know where to go next. I think it's a registry issue maybe, or a svchost corrupt, but since I have service pack 3, I don't know if there is something else I can do, especially since the question seems to start when I start Firefox. Don't use not Firefox may be an answer, but I really want to make sure that the problem is resolved so that my computer is not get no more corrupt than it already is.

    I saw in my research programs will supposedly fix your registry database, but they seem to be more malicious sites, so I am wary of downloading something that is not specifically to Microsoft.     I think that I fixed it. I have re-ran all my antivirus programs and I did forget to empty my cache and temporary files. I clear up the registry and system files. I think that the real culprit was Zone alarm. They have this new feature, called force shield. I didn't know that there was a cache that had to be cleared out. Thus, the register needed to be cleared up, but the problem of Firefox was my firewall program. My machine worked fine for the last half hour with no slow worms down or my sessions of cpu overloaded. I run a defrag during the night to make sure. But it seems that everything is copacetic. Thank you so much both to look at this for me. I have not had a virus in 10 years and I forgot what I didn't.

    the load down on the internet limit is used in about 2 weeks, that it is with a download of large files. also, a window pops up saying that he caused by svchost.exe high disk usage.

    I had a few a look at the problem on the computer and they seemed remedy and the down load was normal for a while, but has since returned to duty.

    I actually found the answer to my problem. The problem was a sound driver that somehow wrong installed on my system. I updated and reinstalled the driver and the problem was solved.
    The problem was "Realtek High Definition Audio" under sound, video and game controllers in Device Manager.

    You can scan your system files by running sfc/scannow.

    1. open the command prompt by clicking Start, and then type CMD.

    2. right click on CMD and select run as administrator.

    3. type sfc/scannow
