HD audio causing high CPU performance

The Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD audio is causing my perfomance CPU to 100% and stay ther. I every time that I reboot disable it. Is it possible to permamnetly turn it off, uninstall it permanently or change the irq?

Hi movalca,

·         If it works much earlier?

·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

Follow these methods.

Method 1: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a conflict of software like the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After the clean boot for troubleshooting, return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 2: Follow the steps in the article, if you are using service pack 2.

  • Windows Update causes high CPU AND not let me install Windows 10

Windows 7 update has several issues:

1 Windows Update Service causes the CPU usage high - CPU usually works 50% or more with a single SVCHOST.exe running.  I click with the right button on the SVCHOST entry in Task Manager-processes and saw all the services that SVCHOST is still running.  One at a time, I stopped and restarted them.  Finally, when I stopped the Windows Update service, the cpu immediately fell to almost nothing.  I rebooted and tested several times, and each time, it was Windows Update service that was causing the high CPU.

    2. Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor says I could upgrade to Windows 10, and get the icon Windows 10 is in the toolbar.  But it has failed to install several times.  Now, after stopping and restarting the service of updating (and I checked, it is started), the window get Windows 10 rises, is empty and goes.

    3. I ran the Update Diagnostic and got 1 error:

    Windows Update error 0 x 80070003(2016-04-04-T-04_56_09P)

    5. I tried to update Windows Update WindowsUpdateAgent30 - x 64 .exe Agent,

    6. when I try to start Windows Update-check for updates, it displays the dialog box "check for Updates" and activity indicator green runs and runs and runs for more than 10 minutes but nothing happens.  And when I check the view update history, it shows no updates, even though I know that I've run a LOT of updates in recent years.

    7. I thought to reinstall Windows 7.  I went to download from Microsoft, and when repair installation it activated my key it says that it wasn't a retail version, so check with the supplier (in this case HP).  I checked with HP and they said that this machine was is no longer supported.

    8. on the way I've renamed the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution-Windows SDOLD, force it to create a new (probably why it does not find the old updates).  IT did not help.

So it seems to me this machine is expandable to 10 Windows (it meets the specifications and the Advisor to update Windows-10 said yes and installed the toolbar).  But something is wrong, probably with Windows Updater, and now nothing will be update or upgrade.  And I can't get a new copy of Windows 7.

So, any thoughts?  I'm out of ideas.

  • Explorer.exe causes high CPU usage!

Hi, recently I added new music for my laptop, including both .mp3 and .wav files. As such, I discovered spikes in my use of a CPU
slow from 3% to 63% and more. After research, I came to realized that when a corrupted .wav files containing folder is opened, Windows Explorer calls the Media Foundation (Mf.dll) function to retrieve the metadata of the .wav files. However, Mf.dll function enters an infinite loop during extraction of metadata.

However, only those files are accessible so high use of the processor occurs if, and after that I reload it would return to normal at rest 3%
Research led me to discover that Microsoft has a hotfix.exe application that would help me solve my problem on the other hand, it is not currently available.
Is there anyway that I can fix this?

Thanks for posting the question on Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, you have the .wav files damaged in a folder on a computer that is running Windows 7.

You have the third-party codecs installed on the computer?

This problem can also occur if you have the codecs installed on the computer and could not play the files.

    Method 1:

Are you referring to this same fix article:

  • Satellite A300 DVD tray will not open and cause high CPU utilization peaks

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 - 1 MM and I have a problem with the optical drive (Mat * un DVD Ram Uj880as):

DVD - RAM plateau sometimes refuse to open. The LED lights up briefly, but still nothing. Windows recognize the drive but the plateau of refuses to open. Eject commands the position of work and management of the computer-> disk management will not work. I can open the tray manually but the optical drive will not read any cd/dvd. No error code in return.

When that happens it cause peaks of high utilization of the processor (from 60 to 100%) in the System Idle Process. Just stop and restart it solve. After that, the laptop also runs fine and the optical drive.

    I replaced Win7 32-bit with a 64-bit version and the problem persist.

    Help, please. Thank you.

I have the same machine with Win7 32 bit and use several players. Everything works perfectly. On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what may be the problem. The configuration of your laptop is not known to us, and we don t know how you set up your operating system and additional applications are preinstalled.

Maybe stupid advice now, but you must install recovery image original Vista that you got with the functionality of your laptop and test with the factory settings. If the same problem occurs we can chat about it.

  • Bus Microsoft UAA for High Definition Audio driver is causing high physical interruptions

    Hello

I am running XP SP 2 on Intel DH55TC motherboard, processor i5. Audio class driver high definition UAA translates material interruptions high that uses up to 10 to 12% of CPU. Interruptions goes if I uninstall the UAA Bus driver through Device Manager. But this also turns off audio driver RealTek which means I hear either.

I tried to update the driver UAA for Version 1. 0a, but still material interruptions will not disappear. Please help how to solve this problem.

I discovered the root cause of the problem. It is with the Intel motherboard and not the driver from Microsoft.

I have upgraded to Windows 7, but still saw the interruptions. So I decided to live with the question. I disabled the UAA driver through Device Manager which would stop the interruption and the sound. I would allow him only when I need to hear the sound. But a few days back, I encountered a new problem. The computer began to turn on and off several times even when I do not press the power button. When it is connected, it would auto start, stay on for a few seconds, then shut down and once again! This cycle repeats.

Then I took it to the shop where I bought it. They said that there is a problem with the motherboard. As it was covered by the warranty, they sent it to Intel and made me a replacement in a few days. Now with the new motherboard I don't see material interruptions. The CPU performance remain at 0 or 1 in the Task Manager.

If someone has the same problem, the issue is most likely with the hardware (motherboard) and no software (device drivers).

  • Satellite P300-212 - system causes the periodic high CPU load

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (OEM) on the Toshiba Satellite P300-212

Even on a system Windows freshly installed (from recovery DVDs), the system process (PID 4, NT Kernel & System) causes on a regular basis (every five minutes) a CPU load high for a few seconds, during which the system hangs, not even the mouse pointer can be moved.
Sysinternals Process Explorer identifies the thread of high load as "ntkrnlpa.exe! ExfTryAcquirePushLockShared + 0 x 15 2 "with the thread ID 20 or 24.

Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior or a solution to the problem?

    Hey,.

If you have installed Windows recovery disk Toshiba but still high CPU usage? Hmm that's strange because this image is tested by Toshiba

Have you installed or uninstalled any software or tools?
I uninstall the current antivirus and disable some start up programs you n t need in msconfig. Usually, this should work.

  • HP mini5102 interruption using high CPU after sleep / resume

I have the same problem described recently (without solution) on the Forum of Support HP Business. After resume from sleep, 5102 HPmini consumes constantly about 30% of the capacity of the CPU even with the system at idle. Sunny (0-3% CPU use at idle) before going to sleep. As Roderick Laird (copied below) I've already got rid of wireless assistant that caused a different problem of high CPU usage (100% CPU use even before you sleep / resume, now fixed by an update of the version unless served for those who want to keep the wireless assistant).

Consumption of futile processor by 30% after standby/sleep is due to material interruptions (revealed by Sysinternals Process Explorer). I understand that may be due to problems such as several drivers attempting to control a device (for example, after a faulty update). But I have no idea how find the offending device or drivers.

My guess is that many owners of this model simply did not notice the problem and they areassuming the poor performance is due to the atom processor netbook. You must use Task Manager or performance monitor to view CPU usage high, and process Explorer to find it hardware interrupts.

If anyone has found the cause / solution?

HP, help to resolve this issue please--nobody wants netbooks HP fall into the category "do not buy" due to persistent problems with the futile CPU usage. The HP mini 5102 is the flagship model!

    Ref:

"Author subject: HP mini5102 interruption high CPU usage after standby Roderick Laird 24 March 2010 04:03:03 GMT - I see of other HP5102 users having problems with high use of the processor of the Wireless Wizard operation amok; I avoided this by disabling the corresponding services. But one problem remains. The system works beautifully/effectively from a cold start. However, if I go back I think that interruptions are consumes about 35% of the cycles CPU. Not something that I want to pass battery on. I made sure that all the drivers are the latest versions according to the HP support site. I also tried disabling the obvious drivers that might be wrong (wireless, ethernet, audio, non-touchpad mouse)... »

Update the Intel AHCI 9.6.4.1002 driver (iastor.sys) removes the futile CPU usage after sleep from 30% to 20%. This is not in the drivers of HP, but is available at Intel. Subsequently the chipset driver updates might solve the problem. In the meantime:

Disabling in BIOS Drivelock completely eliminates the problem!

Apparently users who want a computer that is useful after sleep / summary to know somehow ignore the advice of stern of HP in the BIOS that Drivelock is recommended for safety.

It cost a lot of time to resolve, with no whatesover help to be published by HP. My consolation is that by systematically eliminating all the bloatware and other services-waste of unused resources, pilots and scheduled tasks automatically loaded on the system (while trying to find the cause of the CPU / interrupt use) I now have a mini 5102 (SSD) that:

    * Cold boots Win 7 Pro 32 in less than 30 seconds (including wireless access)

    * Stops in less than 8 seconds

    * Beds / back in 1-2 seconds

    * Consumes less than 600 MB of RAM at idle

  • problem with high CPU usage audiodg.exe

While playing the game, I get a message saying that I raised the CPU usage 99% of the base. This is caused by "audiodg.exe. I tried a few bugs that I found online. I was told that they would not work with my computer. I have a Dell XPS15 second-generation i5. Has anyone experience this problem?

    Hello

    1. what you did to solve the problem?

audiodg.exe [Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation] file hosts the audio engine for Vista and Window s 7.

All DSP [Digital Signal Processing] and audio processing is done within this file. Suppliers are able to install their own audio effects and DSP in the audio pipeline, which is then processed by audiodg.exe

In order to correct the high CPU usage, disable audio enhancements addressed by the file audiodg.exe. To disable the audio improvements, follow these steps:
    a. right click on the speaker in the lower corner icon right.

    b. Select the playback device from the menu. A list of devices should appear on the screen.

    c. double-click the device that has a green check mark. The properties for the device windows should open.

    d. click the improvements at the top.

    e. in the list of improvements, uncheck all the, or check Disable all improvements.

    f. click on the OK button to save your changes and close the window.

    g. click OK to close the devices window of reading.

I would also say that you use resource monitor to monitor the CPU usage.

Resource monitor is a tool that allows you to analyze the use of the CPU, disk, network, and memory in real time.

You can use the performance tab in the Manager of tasks to see how the CPU of your computer is used by Windows and other programs running on your computer.

  • Identify the SVCHost service with high CPU usage

I am wanting to know how to connect to the CPU for service usage.

I have a Server 2008 R2 that has a CPU spike randomly, once during a period of 24 to 36 hours. I am trying to identify what is causing this CPU spike solve problems more far.
