OEM clinet on Linux installation issues

Hello-

I'm stuck during the installation of the OEM (Linux_x86_64_Grid_Control_Agent_11.1.0.1.0) Linux client. This is my environment:

I use the installation in silent mode as follows:

If a silencer, you will have with 11 and do not use parameters support

defined in the answer file

SECURITY_UPDATES_VIA_MYORACLESUPPORT = FALSE
DECLINE_SECURITY_UPDATES = TRUE

and at least you get the warnings should be ignored.

    Hello

    I try to install linux on a toshiba mini-click L9W - B. Since I was able to boot with the USB (UEFI only) I've got trouble finding drivers to be able to use the card Wifi and the keyboard Dock.

    Ony 8.2 debian is able to start with a touchscreen to work but without network...

    Is anyone have positive results in the deployment of linux on toshiba mini-click L9W - B? Any working linux distribution?

    Thank you
    Best regards, Freddy.

    Given that I have no answer, I will publish my own test results here:

    From my own tests with toshiba mini click, you'll be able start vfat usb key with a well formatted starting efi directory and file (/ efi in your USB). BIOS even in version 5.10 can't start legacy.

    8.1 32-bit Windows usb Windows 8.1 build key is able to start on click mini (ntfs file system) and 64-bit Windows usb key build of Windows 8.1 8.1 64-bit does not start on click mini. I suspect, that chat on the forum of the EU of toshiba, toshiba mini click bios to start using 32-bit efi startup plans on efi/boot/bootia32.efi.

    Here's a way to start any distro of linux of your mini click using a usb key with the vfat file system:
    1 - try to boot with a USB stick to gparted (vfat file system)
    2. get the boot efi files / (including a grub.cfg file)
    3. use the directory/boot/efi on the new USB that you create, you have managed to boot linux change efi/boot/grub.cfg.

    Try Manjaro (ArchLinux) distribution, this distribution has the best material of support right here. 15.04 - Ubuntu or Debian - 8.2 may work in some time, always missing drivers in the installation process.

    One way would be to start the Firefox Profile Manager in each Linux instance and that it points to a profile of another Firefox installation folder, preferably one that has been customized in a satisfactory manner. You can then delete the profile by default in every Linux installation.

  • Tecra S3 RAID-0, the Linux installer does not recognize the hard drive

    Hello

    I've been googleling much and the only one I found is a post on this forum: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=8758

    I have the same problem, the RAID controller is not recognized by one of the distributions of linux in circulation, and so the hard drive is not recognized, so the linux installation is not possible. I tried FC7 and SUSE9. Due to the demands of work, I need to install FC7.

    If there is no driver available for linux, it is possible to disable the RAID controller on the laptop? If so, is that someone could put a guide of how do, or send me to a good link on the subject?

    Thank you
    Alex

    You will be very happy if someone with S3 and Linux will write here. Until you wait for the check you must fill the pages of Linux support:
    http://Linux.Toshiba-DME.co.jp/Linux/index.htm
    http://newsletter.toshiba-tro.de/main/index.html

    Maybe you will find some info here.

  • Linux installation - I can not find the installation script

    I'm trying to follow the LabVIEW for Linux installation guide, but I have a problem. This post will be long, as I will try to tell you what I've done so far. I am also kind again on Linux, so I don't know there are a lot of things I don't know.

    I try to use http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374718a.html#installing

    and http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375845d.pdf

    First step of the guide is to insert the installation media "' and run

    # sh. / INSTALL

    and it's pretty easy. Or at least it would be if I had no idea where that sh file is. I requested a copy of the installation discs for my University (I install on one of their computers), and they said that while they do not have any what Linux install disks, they were pretty sure "it's here somewhere," whatever that means. This seems to be the extent of their knowledge about linux.

    On this disc is a folder named slcp10 with the content slcp10.cab, slcp10.mis, and slcp200_mft.cab, which are all of the files of windows and as far as I can tell cannot be run under linux, unless I'm using WINE, which is clearly not the way to go.

    I have also some ISOs from the Department of licensing website, but also, no one seems to know anything about installing Linux. After you mount the ISOs, I see that they contain records Bin, Common, Distributions, licenses and Readme (which is full of all kinds of trivial things). They also contain the files academicsitelicense.html, asladminresource.html, autorun.exe, autorun.inf, nisuite.xml, patents.txt, readme_core.html, setup.ede and suite_md5_1.xml, which none do look promising. Again, I know only how to install .exe files using WINE.

    I have since then turned to the internet to try and download directly from OR and went to http://www.ni.com/download-labview/ and selected ' already own LabVIEW? Download the latest version. From there on, I select the drop-down list for alternative OS and select MAC OS x I read somewhere on the help pages OR that it would work on a linux machine (which seems logical, that the MAC is UNIX-based, right?). Well, it gives me a file dmg (apparently some sort of file mac?) I found a way to use Linux by extracting in 7zip and then ride the hfs file. It always seems to be some sort of evaluation program because it contains LabVIEW2014Evaluation.pkg, readme.html (which takes me to the installation of OSX readme-useless), installation_guide.pdf (again, only for MAC and useless for me), drivers.webloc and Extras files and licenses.

    I'm at the end of the roll, man. I feel that I'm taking crazy pills. I've never had so many badly installed a program before in my life, because technically I haven't yet started the process of installing again, and I'm already about to defenestrate from my computer. Please help me. I don't know what else to do, and I don't know there is a very simple solution that I am too ignorant to see.

    Our lab run us windows, and cake installation. After learning Linux over the last months, I never thought I would say this, but in fact, I would like to have a machine windows right now.

    Well, I managed to get installed it, but only because I found another ISO of site licensing department which had linux install files. Curiously, this unique ISO is a bit 3 GB while there are three other ISOs each come at least 7.5 GB. Are there really that many missing packages on Linux?

    Sorry if someone reads this has similar problems, but the best I can do is tell find Linux installation disc.

  • Re-installing Windows XP (OEM - purchased version of njewspaper ad without mentioning it was OEM only) after the installation of the pirate Win Xp (full version). Can I retrieve pirate settings to not reinstall aps (have about 100). __

    Hello
    I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP (OEM - purchased version advertises in newspapers not to mention it was OEM only) after the installation of the pirate Win Xp (full version). Can I retrieve pirate settings to not reinstall aps (have about 100).
    (I guess I have to change registry to eventually replace OEM version with pirate version - it still would make it impossible to activate the automatic updates). Or I can just reinstall registry then replace edition OEM version? (Would still allow the applications to be installed without the re - install?) (A major pain).

  • OEM 13 c - problem installation using a PDB as OMR file

    I encountered a problem while installing OEM 13 c (13.1.0.0) against a 12.1.0.2.0 snap-in database.

    I have a 12.1.0.2.5 RAC DB with a PDB file named "emrep_pdb".

    Select name, open_mode from v$ PDB;

    NAME OPEN_MODE

    ------------------------------ ----------

    PDB$ SEEDS IN READ ONLY

    BWPDB MOUNTED

    EMREP_PDB READ WRITE <-I want to use this PDB as my OMR

    On the #7 of the OEM Enterprise installation procedure step Manager Cloud control 13 c I enter the following database connection details:

    Database hostname: hostname for DB SCAN >

    Port: 1521

    Service/SID: emrep_pdb

    SYS password: < password account SYS >

    I get the message:

    ORA-01219: connectable to no database or database open; motions allowed in the fixed tables or views only

    However, the PDB is opened as shown in the above query.  Any ideas why I can't connect to the PDB of the 13 c OEM to step #7 Installer?

    Hmmm, it seems that this peut been the problem:

    INST_ID select, name, open_Mode, restricted SGS $ PDB;

    INST_ID SELECT OPEN_MODE RESTRICTED NAME

    ---------- ------------------------------ ---------- ----------

    2 SEEDS OF $ PDB READ ONLY NO.

    2 MOUNTED EMREP_PDB

    PDB $1 SEED READ ONLY NO.

    1 EMREP_PDB READ WRITE NOT

    The PDB is not open on the #2 node.  DOH!  Thank you.

    Looks like I had to specify:

    ALTER connectable database to open emrep_pdb instance = all;

    I forgot the "instances = all" part.

  • Sharing location for catalogue and RPD on a linux installation

    Hello

    I am planning to do evolve horizontally an OBIEE 11.1.1.1.7 install and need to provide a location for the shared catalog and RPD by the Oracle documentation. Currently, the documentation refers to an example of installation of Windows in which you specify a UNC path in the EM console. All the world did this on a Linux installation? I need to set up a system of local files first to point to our NAS share?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Kind regards

    K.A.

    Yes, you need to mount the NAS between your linux servers, so this way you can place the RPD and the catalog and the cache in a path shared by creating folders and copy these files here, and even set in EM.

    I suspect it's the Java version number so I checked the version

    Java-version

    Java version "1.6.0_22".

    OpenJDK (IcedTea6 1.10.4) runtime environment (rhel - 1.41.1.10.4.el6 - x86_64)

    OpenJDK 64-bit Server VM (build 20, 0 - b11, mixed mode)

    Then I installed the jdk 1.7... and control changes in fact file installation in bash_profile as follows:

    JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/JDK1.7.0_79; Export JAVA_HOME

    Path=$path:$JAVA_HOME/bin:/usr/java/JDK1.7.0_79/JRE/bin; export PATH

    but the version of java is always 1.6.0.22. Now, since ORDS3 requires jdk 1.7... I think the problem is with the version of java. But I can't do the update java as the default jdk. How can I do it. Help, please

    Thank you

    Hasan Al Mamun

    Problem is resolved a little, or it was done one way or another.

    I created another server in vmware with OL6.0 64 bit. Java version is jdk1.6...

    Now, I have

    1 tar - vxzf jdk-7u79-linux - x 64 .tar .gz

    created by /usr/jdk1.7.0_79

    in the bash profile

    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/jdk1.7.0_79

    PATH="$path":/usr/JDK1.7.0_79/bin; export PATH

    2. now installed server Glassfish 3.1.2.2. then it took the JAVA_HOME for Installation.

    3. now, I issued the command

    ords.war advanced pot /usr/JDK1.7.0_79/bin/Java-installation

    Done with success.

    4. now, I could deploy deployment ords.war and i.war in Glassfish Server

    It works fine now.

    If the key was to install JDK 7 and set JAVA_HOME to java to update location prior to the Installation of Glasfish.

  • Tecra S11 - 11G - Linux installation

    Hello

    I got a Tecra S11 11 G and I want to install Linux Mint on it.
    During installation, I get the error that 'acpi CCP probe failed.
    I googled for the last hour and I discovered that it can be connected to the uefi boot mode.
    But my laptop has uefi?
    Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you
    Theboda

    You can run Linux Mint live view? If so, start Linux Mint in direct mode and run GParted. In the GParted menu bar, click view , and then click device information. If the partition table is reported as TPG, the hard disk is partitioned probably for UEFI. Another control, you can do is to search a tagged partition ESP. An ESP partition indicates also that UEFI is in use.

    I have an old Equium P200 - 1Ed, who started to play up.

    When I try to install Linux, it gives me an error for realtek ethernet adapter and I studied the problem on the forums.

    Apparently, my hard drive is old and decrepit.

    I tried to reinstall Vista from the default Toshiba CD, just out of curiosity, and installed fine, except, seemed unwilling to connect internet.

    Tried Linux, but still the same problem from realtek.

    Apparently I can download the driver bios flash and try to reinstall the bios... it looks like my last hope.

    Anyone know where I can get the bios driver for P200-1ED?

    Updates to the BIOS, you can find on toshiba BIOS support page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp

    To be honest I don't know if the BIOS update will help with the installation of Linux, but you can try it.

    Have you tried to visit a few Linux forums and the search for solutions?
    As you know Toshiba doesn't support Linux on the laptop model, and you'll be really lucky if someone has the same model of laptop and the same problems of Linux.

    Of course you can do it. You can do with your computer laptop all you want.
    Before installing Linux create recovery disk. One day if you want to still have factory settings use this disk for the installation of Windows operating system.

    If you install Linux without create recovery DVDs, you can do this but follow Toshiba recommendation on the creation of recovery DVDs.
