Office 2000 Thinapp printing problems

I had some problems when trying to print (or open the properties of the printer) on my 2000 Office Thinapp... shows an error:

Error in English:
"Windows cannot print due to a problem with the installation of the current printer. Try to print a Windows test page, make sure that the printer is turned on and online or reinstall the printer driver. »

I get this error with all network printers (I can not try with a local), the package runs on an RDS 2008 R2 x 64 (I get the same error on Windows 7 x 64, but it works fine on a Windows XP SP3 x 86).

Package includes:
Program Microsoft Office 2000
Version of VMware Thinapp = tried with 4.7.3 and 5.1.0
isolation mode= tried it with: fusion and WriteCopy
build OS = Windows XP Pro SP3 x 86
components = Word (full), Excel (complete), Access (full)

deleted components = Outlook, PowerPoint, Office Assistant, office toolbar)

Solutions have already tried:
-build the package with different VMWare Thinapp versions (4.7.3 and 5.1.0)
-deleted all the printers (and its registry entries) before the postscan process
-The value "% SystemSystem%\spool" and "% SystemSystem (x 64) %\spool" attributes "merged".

Could someone help me?

I just disabled "Wow64 = 0" and "AltArchitectureShortcut = 0" and now it works!

    2. what program you were using before you print and scan?

    Have you tried to check and making sure that all the Windows updates were executed? Also you install this on an account with administrator privileges?

    Two questions:
    First... it takes a LONG time for the computer to open itself.

    I understand that you have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 which took a long time to initialize and is now stuck in a mode 'check' cartridges after the reboot it because transport would not move to the Center. I would like to help with that.

    I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer.

    If that fails to solve the problem, you might want to speak with HP Technical Support as there may be a hardware problem.

    You mentioned that you are using a Mac running OS X 10.5 Leopard or more. The HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer is only compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later.

  • Printing problem on deskjet 4510 with windows 8.1

    I bought a new deskjet 4510 and have installed via usb on my desktop running windows 8.1. This isn't the impression through products of ms office word, excel etc. and either through wordpad. I can print Notepad files and pdf via adobe reader software.

    I tried HP print and scan doctor who did not find any problem with the printer and print a test page.

    I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, setting the printer wireless to the top but could not do print.

    I looked at the help on this forum and also tried selective installation, disabling all services except when starting microsoft services, but the problem remains.

    I understand that you meet your HP Deskjet printing problems in advantage 4510 series e-all-in-one printer to your computer Windows 8.1. You have included a large number of useful information in your post, so thank you. After reviewing the troubleshooting you have already finished, I came to the conclusion that what you feel is a conflict of driver on your computer Windows 8.1. To fix this please follow the steps below.

    How to add another driver:

    1. Open the Start screen (by selecting the windows start button in the lower left corner or by selecting the "Windows" button at the bottom left of your keyboard to the left of the 'Ctrl' key
    2. In the start screen, type "Devices and printers"
    3. If the option devices and printers automatically fills, click settings at the top right and then click on devices and printers.
    4. In the devices and printers folder right click on your series Deskjet 4510 and left click on printer properties
    5. Left click on the Advanced tab
    6. Left-click on new driver
    7. When the new window driver opens just hit 'next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of printers on the right.
    8. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    9. DeskJet 9800 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 is only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update has been completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    10. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next complete the new driver Wizard
    11. Under the printer properties window, select 'Apply' but do not hit OK
    12. Select the general tab
    13. Rename your printer in HP Deskjet 4510
    14. Click OK
    15. Finally, right-click on your Deskjet 4510 series once more and click on Printing Preferences
    16. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    17. Left click on the dropdown 'Normal' for the print quality down to the right and change its normal fast
    18. Press apply and OK
    19. Try to print!

    I was pulling my hair out for several hours now and it worked like a charm.

    7640 was printing test print, .pdf and Notepad files but it wouldn't print anything from office, chrome, firefox or thunderbird.

    Power Googling finally turned to the top of your message and I have not seen anything to suggest it is common knowledge, but I think this problem is quite regular, so I hope others find your post.

It allows to copy, but not print from my computer. The computer recognizes it but it says it is offline connection and guard my documents in what. My wifi lite is on the printer...

    How can I get rid of the message "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional".  Apparently, the system does not find a valid source for this.  To my knowledge, I have not downloaded this software even though I must admit that it does not appear in my list of software.  I tried to remove the screws of the Panel control, but to no avail.

    Thank you for your response.  I have now solved the problem by deleting the installation, using the cleanup utility.
