Office jet pro 8610: Office jet 8610 how to clean electrical contacts?

I installed a new ink cartridge and paper came out with black ink. Then, it would not print again and gave an error message that the cartridge was damaged. I returned to the store and brought a new cartridge. Still getting the same message. The printer message says to clean the electrical contacts. Have no idea how to do that and there is no instructions on the menu.

    Hi @GLORIATAYLOR,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your printer always disconnect your wireless network. I want to help.

You might want to set a static IP address for the printer. This is therefore a document, you can review how to set an IP address: http://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8610-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5367603/document/c04082680/

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: How can I find the address to return a defective printer?

More than a year ago, we had a HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 replaced due to a defective unit Telec.

For some reason, we were never able to send the a faulty back to HP, probably because we never received details on places where to send it to...

We have a case number, but nobody has never detailed how and where send us the defective device to?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

HP will usually send a return label prepaid with the replacement unit, so all you have to do is put the old unit in a box and send it back to HP.

HP usually ask also a number of credit card for security and will charge you for the new unit if you do not send the replacement within 30 days.

There are also cases where HP will review the old trash of machine and just ask recycle you, but it should have been paperwork indicating that with the replacement.

I had a few cases where HP has delivered something for me where they want to go back to the old or machine and in almost all cases about three days later, they called to see if I had been there.

Keep in mind, that I do not work for HP, but I worked with HP hardware for some time now and I think that if you had it for more than a year that she does not need to be returned and can be eliminated.

If you wish to contact HP, then you look at the support page for your machine and then look for a contact link so you could send them a message and the reference number and ask if you can dispose of the machine.

If HP wants to come back, they should send you a prepaid return label, they can do it by e-mail.

  • Office jet Pro 8610: how to eliminate a notice "start problem there... the module is not found.

Recently, I replaced my old printer Officejet Pro 8600 with a new printer Officejet 8610.  Before you install the new printer I completely uninstalled the old printer sotware.  After installing the new software, the 8610 new works perfectly. My problem now is that everytime I turn on my computer, I get a useless message:-«Run DLL...» There was a problem starting c-program files-HP-HP Officejet Pro 8600-bun - HPstatusDL.dll... The specified module could not be found. This message has no effect on the functioning of the 8600 printer and is simply a nuisance. I closed the message when it appears. HOW CAN I GET RID OF HIM?

    Hello

Open the file Explorer and paste the following text in the address bar, and then press ENTER:

    %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Remove the ink monitor - HP Officejet Pro 8600 shortened alerts and restart your PC to confirm the message no longer appears.

  • Office jet Pro 8610: how to connect Officejet Pro8610 via ethernet instead of wireless?

    Hello

We recently bought Officejet Pro8610, but we can't use it yet.

Our it team does not print wireless network.

Thus, we tried to implement the officejet via ethernet with wireless turning-off.

    That's the problem.

We have disabled Ethenet setting wireless and go-> advanced setting.

We got a static IP for network printer and tried to manually enter the details and information, but nothing can be saved.

We checked ehternet port is enabled.

    DHCP does not work either.

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

Problem has been solved by replacing ethernet cable.

It is curious that the faulty cable has worked with a laptop computer, but did not work with OfficeJet Pro.

    Therefore, conclusion to date.

When the internet connection is having problems, there is a symptom that manual IP setting doesn't seem to work.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: How can I get a report with the total number of pages printed on my HP Officejet Pro 8610?

The number of pages that print is so critical to a choice to use the "HP Instant ink Plan' or not, how can I find the total number of pages that I printed on my brand new (installed 2 days ago) 8610?  And if I can, there are a total of 'resettable' or working capital?  Don't see anything in the user guide and a search gives nothing usable on this blog.

Wireless printer installed on an old PC with Windows XP SP3.  I also of course install with cable network but so far it works well on my home network without a network cable.  Is there any operating system, I also have a laptop Lenovo Vista on which I can install this printer.

Please do not answer I can find total by counting the number of pieces of paper that I have.  Surely the inner workings of this beautiful machine must have the requested data as well as HP can say my consumption if I select the monthly plan of ink!

This 8610 was a good buy (net $89,00 after the resumption of my six years, Deskjet J36xx) at Office Depot/Max who has of course influenced my decision to purchase.  So far, I am very happy with the print quality and speed, have not yet tried the scanner and will probably never use the fax machine since I have no land line phone.

    Thank you

I am trying to print a Word document to a page size-2 X 2 sheets of thick paper.  I have done repeatedly on other printers, but impossible to find a setting anywhere on this printer that allows me to do that.  Am I missing something?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: How can I change my HP Officejet Pro 8610 Chinese back to English

I was just inherited this printer and I am trying to use it with my Windows 10.  I can't understand the display printer settings, because they are all in Chinese.

    Hi @DDMAC44.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I see that you have difficulties with change of language on your 8610, I think I can help you with that!

Although the language is different, the location of the buttons/options is the same.

Scroll from right to left. You will see the Setup menu. You'll recognize it by the image of two engines.

Tap this icon to access the configuration menu.

The first option will be to the printer configuration menu. This touch.

The following menu has country, as the top and right option under which is the language.

    Tap the second option.

Scroll through the languages. Fortunately, they are written in the appropriate language.

When you see the English, touch, and then select Yes.

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. If they did, it's great! Give us some reinforcements by pressing buttons of solution and laurels, that we will help and others see that we have the answers!

    Hello

I don't know what is. Looks like you need to a router or switch that allows to connect several devices. My suggestion: buy a wireless router with LAN a few ports, you can connect modem and use it for wired connections and wireless

In the image below, you can se the router (R) (M) modem. You can connect your computer to the router and you can connect your printer using LAN cable or wireless. You can connect other computers, Tablet (s) or smartphone (s) to the same wireless router.

To help in this way, your printer can connect to Internet.

    Kind regards.

  • Office Jet pro 8610: Office Jet pro 8610 for windows server 2008 R2

What to do now. Can you please provide?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The same driver as expected for any operating system like Windows 7 or 8 must be used, however, the installation should be launched via the command line and not as a standard installation.

Follow these steps to install the software of the printer on a server:

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8610 do not print, but will only fax

We have a HP Office Jet 8610 Pro and it worked fine until we hung like a fax also Thursday.

He used to copy, print, scan perfectly but it takes a new fax machine, so we went and bought the phone cord and hung a fax and telephone line with built in answering the Office Jet and the fax jobs, but now it not print a document in Open Office to the printer because she's trying to make a fax cover page.

I've ran out of ideas can you please help?

There are two pilots "printer" there, to print, choose the "printer Officejet Pro 8610' instead of the 'Officejet Pro 8610 FAX. Probably, you set another value by default when the fax feature is added, which is for the PC - fax. If you use the print function more often than the fax, make non-fax the default printer.

  • Office jet pro 8610: wireless network connection

We have an office pro 8610 jet that is connected to the router wireless via a connection cable, wireless to the printer should be turned off. 2 laptops in the House continually revisit the wireless printer output and plug. Why the laptop does not see the connect if the output of the printer wireless is disabled? Even if I check the box for this connection is not to be automatically connected to it will always connect when you turn on the laptop?

    Hello @richardbo,

Welcome to the Forums of HP and thanks for posting!

I understand that you have a problem with your devices wirelessly to the network that connects the printer e-all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8610 automatically. I'd love to help you with this.

You are right on the assumption that the ethernet disables the ability of the printer to connect to a wireless network. However, the printer has a feature called live wireless. Basically, the printer will be broadcast a signal and act as a router so that you can connect devices directly to it. I suspect that's what devices are connected, then here are the steps which stops:

    1. On the homescreen of the printer, tap the Wireless live downstairs. ((Deuxième à gauche)
    2. Select settings.
    3. Select Direct wirelessand OFF.

Please reply to let me know if that solves the problem!

    Have a great day.

  • Is HP Office Jet Pro 8610 Adobe Support. PDF files?

    Greetings,

I think the upgrade to a HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m all-in-One for an all-in-One HP Office Jet Pro 8610.

I could create and use on the C309g-m .pdf files.  I have Adobe Reader on my computer.  I'll be able to do the same on the 8610?

    Thank you.

    shamrock838

Have Adobe reader installed and its having some capacity doesn't have nothing to do with which printer is installed.

If to create and use .pdf created files do you mean having the ability to print the FichierVous or that you downloaded, then the answer is Yes.

  • the office jet pro 8610 has memory to recover documents printers before?

I'm trying to recover a document that I have printed a few days ago and I can't find it on my pc. The office pro 8610 has a memory that I can go back a reprint of you try the document?

    Hi @bj11,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you are trying to reproduce a document for a few days there with your HP Officejet pro 8610. I'm happy to help you!

According to the user's Guideof this printer, the printer does not store documents already printed in its memory. The only way to recover an already printed document must be made on the computer.
