OfficeJet 6310xi; Ink does not

To try to correct the printer from my MIL (HP Officejet 6310xi all-in-one); someone put in new ink cartridges for her, but it is not printing.  When you click on print, looks like it's printing, but there is no ink on the page.  I checked the cartridges to see if they have been poorly installed, but don't see anything wrong.  I checked, but the legs were not left on the cartridge.

It is probably just a defective cartridge or if others have had this problem as well?  Thank you!

The most likely cause is defective cartridges.  Are these HP or a third party?  The quality of the latter varies considerably, but is generally low, see this paper for more details.

    Just installed a new print 60xl cartridge to replace the one that was being ink. Now the black ink basically does not print. I cleaned the cartridges 4 times and run all Diagnostics pages. The black prints just a small piece of the upper part of the letters on the pages of diagnostics and in grayscale on the test pages.

    (1) once will open the support page please select the country in which you are

    If you are still in warranty, I'd contact HP to help you replace heads printing or printer service.

    To clarify:

    The problem is Microsoft Math ink expected entry of the MOUSE.

    The touch input in this case DO NOT simulate the mouse input.

    Given that we have no control over the behavior of the interpretations touch screen on the user level, (for example, press and hold the function to force the mouse simulation), we cannot solve the problem.

    I think the problem is that the mouse requires "drawing", while now the left click, but I think the swipe on touch screen registers as the movement of the slider, and then click Exit.  (This area does nothing).

    Thanks for the reply.  I tried everything you suggested and it still does not work. Stayed for more than an hour on the phone with tech support and they also determined that it is a hardware problem.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: HP Officejet Pro 8610 does not recognize ink cartridges

    My printer has ceased to recognize its ink cartridges. In a first stage, the problem happened occasionally and could be fixed by installing and reinstalling the cartridges or just wait a few days, but now it is continuous.

    When I turn on the printer, it immediately gives me an error (without code), saying that it cannot find the cartridges. All four are marked on the screen as not found. I followed the instructions of troubleshooting here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04090902

    The cartridges are genuine, they are the ones that came with the printer. I removed the, checked the contacts of the four. They look damaged or dirty, but used a cloth to clean all anyway. Put back them, did not help. Checked the latch, it was in the correct position. I even tried the restart without result.

    I tried to replace the cartridge with a new one (again, product HP genuine), but does not replace the printer either. And because all cartridges have failed at the same time, I can hardly belive the problem lies in them.

    I come from Finland, and I've not found a phone number, I could ask for help. Does one exist even for my country?
