OfficeJet 8610: Feeds on several pages

What can I do to make this printer to feed properly?  When I try to print a file that contains several pages, it will print correctly for a few pages, then it will feed 2 or 3 pages slightly staggered.  When the file is a numbered series of sequentially invoices or labels, for example, this makes it very difficult to follow the specific series and is very expensive paper and ink - wise for reprint.

Typically, HP inkjet printers have a separation pad puts some drag on the bottom of the sheet, this cushion is preventing you to shoot more than one page at a time.

In your case, it seems that the separation pad does not work properly. Once that a separation pad didn't she usually need be replaced, cleaning does not seem to help.

If it's a printer pretty new I'd see it replaced

    Hi mpw101,

You must press the Add/Remove button, to add pages additionla scanned to the existing file. If you do not see this button try decreasing the analysis DPI setting. Let me know if this helps you?

    Greetings @digengen,
  • scanning of a document of several pages of hp 8500 a909a results in the separate analyses for each page

I have a MacBookAir operating on the latest version of the Apple software, Lion. I have an OfficeJet 8500 A909a. I want to scan a document of several pages of the scanner in my computer. I want to use the document feeder. The document feeds into the scanner, but each page is scanned in a separate file. I want each page to analyze successively in a single file. I am a new user of MacBook. (My Dell Windows based computer can do this successfully.)

OK, so you use scan apple in this case. When you are at step 7 in your list, there should be a button to view the details, click on that. You should now see the option to format along the right, set it to the PDF format, and a box should appear saying combine single-file.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Can you try using a TCP/IP port?

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

This video resource will show you how do:

Create & use TCP IP port

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

  • OfficeJet 8610: OfficeJet 8610 when you copy in duplex, one side to the other side

When I try to copy multi-page documents, goes to 1 side 2 sides, one side is upside down. This works when the pages are in portrait setup but not when they are in the configuration of the landscape.

It's COPY, not print, so I can't follow the advice to replace the flip setting. There seems not to be a setting on the printer itself to change that.

I did a chat session with HP, but the problem was not resolved. I got a call a supervisor (level 2, no doubt), but I have not worked with them again.

The printer is connected wireless. I run the installation wizard and the Finder solution and the update as well as the doctor of printing and scanning without result.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @Tiggy626A,

I see you are having problems copying 2 sides in landscape mode. I will definitely do my best to help you.

From the front panel of the printer, you can bind only on the long side, there is no option to change the copy to the short edge. I tried to copy 2 faces on our Officejet 8610 laboratory, one side released head downstairs. By experimenting, I found a solution, by loading the two documents to copy in the ADF file, load the other down. This will allow the copy two facing the landscape properly the printer. I know that's not very practical, but it worked out this way.

This feature is available if you choose to scan documents and then print as a 2-sided document with a link on the edge short.

Here is a document for the HP Officejet Pro printers 8610 - copying Documents.

  • Scanning several Pages of a PDF O/J 8620

I'm scanning a flight log so I can't use the ADF. I need to scan in PDF format and have several pages. I want only 1 PDF - not 10 different PDF files with 10 different pages... Try everything and nothing seems to work.

My old O/Jet is done without any problem! This scanner does nothing if this feature has disappeared.

    Help, please!

Hello David, welcome to the forums.

I understand you want to scan several pages of your diary in a single file, using the scanner bed. You should see an option to add another page after each page is done scanning.

  • Office jet Pro 8620: documents MultiPage, automatic two-sided scanning, an automatic document feeder to 50 pages.

I just bought a HP OfficeJet 8620, who says that he will "Break through with automatic double-sided scanning multipage documents and an automatic document feeder to 50 pages." I can't find a reference to such an operation in the user manual and seem to read thet, others have not been able to do. Before I take the trouble to unpacking and to establish this printer, can anyone tell me if the printer can do this duplex auto scanning and if so, how?

    Hello

Yes, he can do an ADF duplex scanning using the screen of the printer or the HP scanning software.

    Kind regards.

  • Can I combine all pages of a document of several page, in the end, only really scanned document?

    Hi all

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a Plus, which is a combined printer/copier/scanner, I have attached to my 19 HP all-in-one computer, Windows 8 operating system.

I often use the scan function by scanning a document which will then automatically be saved in My Documents directory under the default name of 1 Scan.

I hope that there is a better way for me to make the following about the scan function.

For example, if I have a several page document, let's say, for example, that it is 3 pages, I will, to start, open the top cover of the HP Officejet 6500 has more scanner and place of the first page on the document table, close the lid and press scan. Then, I wonder if I want to pdf or jpg. I'll usually choose the pdf, and after a few more questions, here, this first page of my document will get scanned and then recorded in the Documents directory under the default name, 1 scanner. Then I take the page 2 of the document and follow the procedure above, this 2nd page to finally be saved in the Documents directory under the default name, Scan 2. I repeat the foregoing for the 3rd page, in order to have ultimately recorded in the Documents directory under the default name, Scan 3.

Now I have 3 different files, they being 1 Scan 2 Scan, Scan 3.

Currently, if I want all this email to someone, I need to join all 3 files in my email. Thus, I charge the receiver with duty open 3 different files attached, i.e. the 3 different fasteners files named 1 Scan 2 Scan, Scan 3, if he or she wants to view the 3 full page document.

Is there a better way that I can use my HP Officejet 6500 has more to be able to put all 3 pages in only 1 scan, so suffice it so send an email to only 1 file attached, so that the receiver will only be required to open only 1 file attached in order to see the 3 different pages of my document?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

    Best of all,
    James

  • When I try to scan several pages, it puts the pages as separate files instead of a single file.

When I try to scan several pages, it puts the pages as separate files instead of a single file. For example, I may want to scan 5pages ofa patient office visit, yet, when I scan using the ADF, it separates each page in a single file.  I need to have the pages I scan have a single file. • How Envy 114 printer, scan or copy several pages?

I have a difficult document that I would like to scan into my computer, but there several pages and I would prefer that one document not several unique scans. Is it possible to create a multi-page scanned document?

Sorry, you will not be able to scan or copy several pages with the printer.

You will need an autoloader (ADF) documents, and this printer is not this feeder at the top of this one.

  • Select the default tray when printing from MS Word or any other application HP OfficeJet 8610

    Hello

We have HP OfficeJet 8610 with additional tray. So, we have Tray1 and bac2. That's what I read in the specs of the printer about how we can use the bins:

    • Loaded into all of the paper trays and use paper from a tray if the other tray is empty
    • Loaded into all trays and paper of one of the bins first use
    • Be able to choose plain paper and another type of paper that you use occasionally

    My question is:

Let's say that we have put the tray 2 as the default tray.

In MS Word or any other application in layout, you can define special tray (say 1 tray) paper source. This means that the document should be printed on paper from the selected tray (Tray 1). But in our case, the document is always printed using paper from the default tray (tray 2).

Could you please confirm that this is the expected behavior?

    Thank you so much, Ana.

    Hi @AnaGligorijevic,

I understand that you want to be able to print the same document at different trays and change the setting via the Word software. This printer is not able to change the settings of the tray for different pages in the same document to multiple pages.

To work around this problem, you can use the parameter to "print pages." "Select it print pages selected, then for other pages ' print pages" yet once and then change the parameters of the status bar of the application.

The application, you can change the settings of the tray for 1 page or a multiple page document. But it will print all pages of the specified tray.

Hope that makes sense. Thank you!
