OfficeJet 8610: HP Officejet 8610 is offline now

I bought an Officejet 8610 5 months and it has worked very well - so far.  It is continually being disconnected and I questions online.  Most of the time, I need to powercycle the 8610 and it usually comes online.

Connected wireless

I put the IPv4.

3 PC, iphone, iPad 2, all work very well on wireless environments

HP Print & Scan doctor sees no problem

I can start the ability to scan when printing is offline.

Is this a hardware possible security problem?

Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Can you try using a TCP/IP port?

Creating a TCP IP port

1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

This video resource will show you how do:

Create & use TCP IP port

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

In addition, in Control Panel/hardware/printer port properties affecting sometimes on its own, will jump from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.3 and I don't know why it changes and I don't know what Port setting is correct. You can set the IP address of the printer if you want to, however, it is best to set a static IP address in the router.

Is there another adjustment with a right click that says 'use printer online '?  If it is available, it's what you really want to do here.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6970: HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 offline after 1 day - will not print

Buy HP OfficeJet teacher last Sunday - put in place the tablecloth as a whistle on my HP Desktop (wired). After a mystery visit to find the WPS PIN code, I had a HP laptop (wireless) installation. looking for a good...

So my wired computer now impossible to print - it goes through the router. But the laptop is still the impression - so it's printing directly to the printer, and not through the router?

I had a Canon 2 printerd that (I thought) sucked into the sky high with the radio, but maybe it's the router.

However, several telephones are connected wirelessly, several other devices work correctly. It is a fairly new router from Verizon.

  • HP Officejet 4500 remains offline

  • HP OfficeJet J6450 goes Offline

A couple of months my OfficeJet J6450 started going offline a lot.

I have a Dell Windows 7 laptop, and my wife has a Mac.  It does the same thing for us two.

So I took the new Mac out of the picture, and he always does on my Windows 7 PC.

I can print to it, but to come back a few hours later and my print job is in the queue, but the queue is offline.

I have you unplug and plug the printer back in, and then everything works fine... For while.

When it says offline, I can still go to the web page of administration for it.

It's funny it says offline, but I can still reach it with the administration tool.

    Also, I can still scan/copy/fax.

    Don't just print.

    I tried:

Uninstall the software completely and reinstall a couple of times.

Both the software supplied with the printer and that Windows finds.

    Wireless and wired.

Booking the ip address on my router. (But this doesn't seem to be the problem for the administration tool and Scan connects to him, even when the print queue says offline).

  • OfficeJet 6700 is offline, and I am unable to bring it back

So my 6700 is offline. Use Windows 8.  I googled how to bring it back online.  Get several posts on this forum... all of which have answers that look like this:

"Go to this link and read it" I click on the link and hey, guess what?  Link is inactive! on each of them.

How about someone just copy and paste for posterity?  I can't honestly think that solving this problem is so difficult that a document must be written about this...?

Can someone just copy and paste the answer on how to put online without posting a link?  Help someone else who comes to search for something in the future.

    Thanks a bunch!

Too bad. Just uninstalled the printer and reinstalled.  It works now. Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: now really can not print from Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

It is my second attempt to get help.  First aid made it worse.  I had been unable to print from my printer wireless to my MacBook Pro, iPad, or iPhone.  After 20 hours I managed to do print from a cable (it sees my network but none of my devices can see).  So I posted here asking for help and was told to uninstall the software, repair disk permissions, and then reinstall the software.  But when I downloaded the new software that my computer would not install it because it says it's for Mac system 10.7 or less and I 10.10.  So now I can't print anything at all.  I need this job.  Please help me to fix it for real.  I can't take this more.

In fact, HP support did not help at all. I finally fixed it myself after a lot of trial and error. The answer was that the printer software was incompatible with the software on my Mac. I removed Rowmote and it started working again. Weird, Rowmote had not been a problem before, but it can be updated. I was told there was new software of the printer of February, but when I went to the driver page with the link that the person a condition he had as the old one. So if he is really a software it should be provided to users. Thank you, they were attentive, though, and I received several phone calls.

  • OfficeJet 7110: Network offline printer

Printer is connected to a router. After not feeling for a few days and I am trying to print a text file, word doc, or a web page will receive a message that the printer is offline. The HP printer assistant homepage lists the status of the printer such as OK. State of the cable network says connected. Selecting printing test page OK print. The print queue lists the original file, as still in the queue. The only way I can get the original file to print is to turn the printer power off and then back on.
