OfficeJet Pro 8000: Reset/change password wireless Officejet Pro 800 on Mac OS El Capitan

I need to change the password on my officejet wireless, but cannot figure out how. It seem not to be drivers download more and when I try to put in place via the Apple driver no wireless printer is listed. I have reset to factory settings, but which do not seem to help either.

How can I reset and set up the connection to printer muy wireless in Mac OS X El Capitan?

Thanx

Rich

Hi @rmaltz,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you need to reconfigure the wireless on your HP Officejet 8000 printer. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

In order for me to help you better, I will need more information.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

As you can see, we have several Officejet 8000 in the series.

If you can, roll back to Yosemite... There is a thread, you should find in a search with the statement on this.

Otherwise, to do this, go to project settings... Acceleration of mercury... and together for the only software rendering. A box should then appear, and in this document, select "remove the Previews. Close & restart.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: loss of wireless connection, printer does not accept the password wireless

My printer has suddenly lost its wifi connection. It's the only phone connected to my network to do so.

Through the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore the connection. Assistant tells me that I entered an invalid password wireless, that is not true. (I confirmed that all devices connected to the network using the same password).

Reset the router (Technicolor of Time Warner). Reset the printer. The 'Restore default network' done. No luck.

Zero has changed since yesterday, when my printer was working fine. I used the same router for months, do not change any settings. Any thoughts on what may be the issue? A bad update happen?

    Thanks in advance.

My apologies for the late reply. I managed to get this problem resolved by phone to customer service.

The security mode of the router had to be changed to 64 WEP for wireless connection to be restored. According to Support HP, it's a common problem with the routers in Technicolor. There was no explanation as to why the printer has suddenly lost the ability to connect wirelessly when safety was created to WPA2-PSK. The network has been configured this way for more than a year.

I have almost solved this problem on mine (I had read about changing of security in a different post), but ran into a hiccup because of Safari. For some reason, Safari prohibited access to a menu page for my router security settings. You can imagine how boring it is to look at the HP Support use Firefox to access the router and do what a mouse click more, and then I had to make the change. So, if you make this change, be sure not to use Safari to access the gateway of the router Technicolor. Use Chrome or Firefox.

  • HP OfficeJet 6500 wireless do not print because there are 2 days, I changed my wireless router

    Original title: print printer print

My HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless will not print because 2 days ago, I changed my wireless router. The printer is no longer under warranty and I'm using Windows 7 OS. I have

Assuming that there is a wireless connection to the printer, the most likely cause of the problem is that the printer is configured to obtain its IP address automatically, and the new router has assigned to the printer an IP address that is different from that which was initially awarded.

To check if the above is the question:

Controls on the front panel of the printer allows you to print a Network Setup page:
From the home screen, press the right arrow, and then select Setup.
Touch reports, click Network Configuration Page.

Find the IP address of the printer on the Network Configuration page.

On your computer, go to devices and printers

    • Right-click on your printer icon, and then select "printer properties".
    • Click the "Ports" tab
    • WITHOUT clicking anywhere in the list of ports other than the right scroll bar, find the line highlighted (the one with the box in the box)
    • Is the 'Port' the same as the IP address of the printer that you noted on the Network Configuration page?
    • Assuming that the port in the printer properties dialog box is not the same as that shown on the Network Configuration page, click the "Configure Port" button and enter the correct IP address in the box "printer name or IP address.
    • OK your way out

To avoid this problem does not happen, read the User Guide for the your printer and configure the printer to use a static or fixed IP address.  Choose an address that is in the same subnet as the router but outside the range of addresses used by the DHCP server on the router.  You can find this information on the configuration of your router utility.

For example, most Linksys/Cisco routers use the IP addresses of the form 192.168.1.x and allocate addresses in the range 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.150.  In this case, you should take a static IP as 192.168.1.20 (20 is outside the range of 100 to 150).

From the main screen on the printer, use the arrow key to the right and select the Setup Menu.  Use the right arrow key again and navigate to and select the network menu.  Scroll down the page until you see the default network and select Yes to restore.

Once that finished, scroll to the top network Menu and run the Wireless Setup Wizard.  You will be asked a new network password.

Our wireless printer is grateful is no longer the password wireless. It will print if connected via FireWire/USB and it does not recognize the network, but he thinks that the password is wrong. There is no Ethernet port, so I can't connect it to the modem or the router to see if it would work like this. I restarted the modem, the router and the printer, but nothing seems to work. • my daughter forgot the password on this laptop, and now nothing can be upgraded. How do I change and reset the password

computer is without hope, without updates

If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you reset the password of the account administrator integrated into house or have Pro and don't remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the password of the built-in to a white administrator account. Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Start with the media that you have created. You need to maybe change the boot order in the BIOS or obtain a menu of boot command temporary with the pressure of a special key. NTpasswd will run. Follow the instructions carefully.

Then, go to the user accounts applet in Control Panel and set passwords that you remember and other changes. WRITE THE PASSWORDS DOWN AND PUT THEM SOMEWHERE YOU WON'T LOSE THEM.

    Hello

Check with the support of the manufacturer of your router, their online documentation and firmware, and
ask in their forums (if any). Most have excellent online help. You will probably need to
reset the password of the router. This time make sure to write down it. You can even band
it to the router or create a note in a computer file.

    I hope this helps.
