OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g - black vertical line wireless

When you use the ADF for the copy or scan I get vertical black line on the right side of the document. This line does not appear when printing or placing the document on the glass. I tried to clean the glass and ADF according to HP instructions (see link below), but it does not solve the problem.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01618140

The main flat glass is not used when scanning with the ADF.  There is a small strip of glass about 1 "wide on the left which is used only for the documents in the ADF. I suggest you clean this area to new as stated in the paper here.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan everything in the middle of the page

    Hi Clementstl,

I understand that you have a 8600 Pro Officejet which puts a black vertical line in the center of your copies/scans. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem.

I recommend the rest of this document of vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans as it should be in a position to help to cross that line. The most common cause is a small spot of something on the glass of the scanner, so just make sure that when you're cleaning use you as much elbow grease you can collect

Just to clarify a little further, if the problem only seems to occur when you use the automatic document feeder, you'll want to focus your attention on the small strip of glass that he uses on the left side. If it only occurs when you use the flat glass, you want to concentrate on the large piece of glass he uses.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g wireless connection problem

I have a printer wireless OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g.  My PC is Windows 7 (64-bit).  Recently, the printer wasn't working reliably and we took to reboot our router frequently at the same time.  Router problems seem to be solved because my PC at home and the work laptop are well connected and running.  However, the printer would not work last night when I really needed.  The documents would appear in the queue, but never reach the printer.  Today, I uninstalled all the software of HP using the CD of origin and reinstalled all the latest software and drivers from hp.com.  Of course, I rebooted the printer several times during this process.  Using the Network Wizard wireless via the screen of the printer, I am able to locate my SSID and enter the WPA key.  The printer confirms that it is connected to the network.

If my computer and printer are both connected to the same network why can't the HP software locate the printer?  Whenever I try to run the installation/Setup program it tells me that there is no HP printer on the network.  As I said, this printer has worked on this wireless network in the past.  I also downloaded and run the scan HP and difficulty of the program to see if she could solve the problem without success.

    Any other suggestions?

Well, what I'm going to make you, it's just a basic uninstall and reinstall the printer. I'll describe the steps and you are right, we can use the USB > wireless Assistant. You can access that by running the software after the installation of the USB. Here are my steps...

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it. Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

The START menu type "%temp%" and press on ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl+A and press on REMOVE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

Follow this link to download full feature software and drivers of the printer:

  • Cannot fax Officejet Pro 8500 A909g; was recently sold by Verizon to switch to FIOS digital telephony

    Hello

Recently switched to FIOS digital voice service. I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g. Y at - it a patch or other difficulty that I can use to send a fax? Receives errors in communication since going digital.

    Thank you

    Michael

Fax is STILL an analog service, he may be able to work for DSL or VOIP, but it is never a guarantee. Unfortunately, there are no fixes, updated or newer models that will change this.

You can try to contact Verizon to see if they have filters or suggestions, but it can never work with a digital line.

I know it's frustrating, but there is not much that can be done. You can watch are E-fax to the square or a secondary analog line.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g do not receive the correct IP address of the DHCP server

    Hello

We have reconfigured our network to use 172.16.11.xxxx

We have assigned our OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g printers IP addresses by using DHCP reservations.

After joining the wireless network, all our printers have an address of 169.254.xxxx.xxx.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you

    Christophe

DHCP is still active on your router?  The printer must have active DHCP.

169.254.x.x means the printer sees the router, but does not have a valid IP address to him.

  • AirPrint on HP officejet Pro 8500 A909G

Is it possible to use AirPrint on a HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g? Thank you

OK, so a solution of firmware is released. The PrinterShare software solution is awkward. You can print to a printer that is shared by a Mac or a PC, but who wants to turn on their computer, whenever you want to print from iOS device? Given that I and everyone using devices iOS want be able to print natively and directly on a wifi printer, there are only two options left. Either you buy a new printer AirPrint for a few hundred dollars or more, or you buy the Lantronix xPrintServer for $150.

    http://www.Lantronix.com/it-management/mobile-print-servers/xprintserver.html

xPrintServer is the solution I finally chose. It works as advertised. Simply connect it to your router, connect the power cable, and it works instantly. Almost no network printer, wifi or not, is recognized by AirPrint. Select your printer and print. So sweet!

  • HP officejet pro 8500 a909g driver for mac 10.10.3

    Hello

I am not able to scan/print through HP officejet pro 8500 a909g 10.10.3 Mac.

I think because of no proper drivers, scanning/printing does not work.

    What should do?

    Hi @pan1490,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you cannot print or scan with your HP Officejet Pro 8500 a909g on Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite to. And I'm happy to see it for you!

To verify that your printer hardware is functional, you are able to make copies of the scanner glass? Copy of a multi-page Original.

If you are able to copy, then I recommend to install this driver, HP v3.1 for OS X printer drivers, which is the only driver I know for this printer on Mac OS X 10.10.3 available. Please see this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 scan driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a to iMac doesn't seem to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. How to scan without HP on Mac software.

Hope this solves your problem and have a nice day!

  • Language assistance on OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g

Someone has changed the language on my OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g.  Could someone give me indications of countdown through the menu options?  Start by clicking on the key? Beyond the key, it is all Greek to me, or in this case Chinese (I think). Thank you.

I thought about it by trial and error.  Tap the key symbol.  Scroll all the way down; It's "Preferences".  Click on 'Préférences' and the first option on the next page is the "language".  Click on "Language" and then scroll down until you see your language.  English is the first on the list.

No, your printer is not capable of AirPrint and can not be.  You can try other printing applications, like HP ePrint home & Biz.

  • Just save - unwritten - digital fax on OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g

I have the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g. I have the HP Fax in Digital Mode defined so that incoming faxes are saved on the network folder. Currently, when a fax arrives, it prints the fax and stores a PDF version of the fax in the network share. I don't want it to do both. Just save. Do not print.

Is there a framework where we can prevent printing to save on paper (and ink)? I'd rather just browse my incoming faxes into PDF and only those that I really need to print. I like the option to turn off printing of incoming faxes and just store them on the network share.

I did... took a while, but it's very simple, then it worked. All what you need to do is:-

1 using the screen on the printer

    2. press on the key (top, middle of the screen)

    3. press on the basic Fax Setup

    4. digital fax

    5 fax print

    6. and finally click on off

THEY're as simple as that. I was looking through the settings for centuries until I stumbbled on it. The hardest part about this process for me was getting through my exchange server... quite the task.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g - print from somewhere outside Tray 1

    Hello

I am a consultant and one of my clients has this printer.  He has a paper tray, 250 sheets.  There's also the feeder on the top where you can feed the things to scan or copy.

When he wants to print checks or envelopes, to remove the tray, take the paper and put in controls.

Is it possible to print these one other way or you have buy the 2nd tray accessory?

    Thank you

    Hey texaspete,.

The automatic document feeder on top of the Officejet Pro 8500 A909g can only be used for scanning/copying.  The mechanism for the loader doesn't have a printhead to be able to produce printed documents.

However, there is the possibility of obtaining a 2nd paper for the Officejet Pro 8500 tray.  HP no longer produces the paper tray, but there are 3 third-party suppliers who still carry the part.

    * The part number for the option 2 tray (tray of 250 sheets) is CB802a.

Try Google search for this product number and you will find many options of different companies.  I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g: My printer is not wireless...

Hello! I tried for three days to get my printer to print something. For some reason, my HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-One a909g is not printing.

I tried to update the drivers to see if that was the problem, but for some reason that my printer is not connected to my HP laptop wireless. The connection for some reason any broke. Whenever I go to enter the WPA code (which is correct and yes I put it in place for WPA and WPA2 not) it keeps refusing to connect to my laptop.

If someone could help me please, it is something that I really need for my studies and we just replace the ink and Printhead and cannot afford to replace really. Thank you!

    Hello
Thank you to try the Wireless Setup Wizard.
Seems strange that the printer is not able to connect to the home network.

If your printer is close to the router, you can connect using an Ethernet (Lan) cable.

You will still need to install the printer software when you do this so that the drivers are properly configured i.e. non-plug-and-play.

    Hope that helps!

  • HP officejet pro 8500 a909g: print heads

my printer has stopped printing in black ink, even if the ink level is more than half full.  Ran "clean print head" and he ran forever.  Still not printing or copying in black.  color copy.

    Hey @ahornplayer58,

I would like to help you to solve the problem that you experience when you try to print in black ink of your HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless all-in-One Printer today. Thank you for troubleshooting that you have completed before reaching out for support, including. Right now, it sounds like you have a defective black cartridge or defective printhead. In this model of printer, you have two print heads. There is a printhead magenta and cyan and a black and Yellow Printhead. If a replacement black cartridge fails to resolve your printing delivers a replacement black and Yellow Printhead may be necessary. Saying that, there are still a few troubleshooting steps that we can try before replacing anything. Can I please you follow the steps below.

To start, please click here to access the troubleshooting steps. Once the support document opens please run through the solutionand four Solution. This includes all sub-steps under the two alternatives. A print head cleaning may be run up to three times to resolution. If you make three Printhead clean nothing helps, please do not proceed with any additional cleaning ink is used to clean the print head system, and you will just be wasting ink if you want to go forward.

If the problem persists, the next step listed would be to replace the black and Yellow Printhead. However, it is never a bad idea to first try a black cartridge.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a - problem with the wireless radio

First of all, I'm sorry for my bad English. I hope that you have little imagination when reading. I'll start to describe the problem and the lower list, I hope, all the relevant information you need to help me.

Yesterday, I bought a brand new OfficeJet Pro 8500 has.

Since I have found a little bit of my computer and my router I configure for wireless connection.

All whent fine, the printer connected to my WIFI network without any problem and I was able to do a scan using the HP scanning software. How ever, when you try to scan a document nother directly after the first that did not work. I got an error message on the computer telling me that the computer could not connect to the scanner and it could be caused by the firewall. I also tried to print a word document, but it seemed that the document could not be sent to the printer during the observation of the State of the printer. Finally I gave up the print job and began to study the problem.

By using the service to help in the HP software that I did all the things he suggested me to do. I have disabled the firewall, open TCP/UDP ports, restarted the router, the computer and the printer in different combinations, nothing worked.

All the while the printer was connected to my WLAN, indicated by the State of the network printer and the router. I was about to give up but thought I should try only to disable and enable the transceiver wireless in the printer. To my surprise this solves the problem. I was in a position of scan and print documents.

Today, after work, I tried to do another analysis, and the same mistake was present. Once more I did magic with the wireless radio and it has temporarily solved the problem, but he came back a few minutes later.

Summoriz, the error can always be corrected by disable and enable the radio wireless, but after some time (a few minutes) the error returns that it self.

I played a bit and discovered that it is possible to access the built-in Web server during the error. Not all functionality of the EWS seems to work perhaps (it's OK) but I can't among many things has see the State of the network and I can even do an analysis using the integrated Web server.

I tried to reconfigure the printer using the printer setup wireless and also after a reset of the printer and it does not help.

I hope someone on this forum knows a solution to my problem.
