OfficeJet Pro 8600, more than 8600: Airprint loses connection

After turning on the printer, I can use airprint on Mac or iPad for 1 minute about. Then the connection is lost.

Printer is NOT in the list of Apple airprint more.

HP working on a solution, or I change something?

Hey @phterhorst, welcome to the Forums of HP!

I'd love to help you with your JO 8600. I understand your description that you are only able to print using the AirPrint feature for about a minute then the printer is no longer available. It seems to me like a problem with the network connection between the router and the printer. Please first take a look at the document following and well it works sometimes and you can't see a message as mentioned here, the steps can help: what to do if you see a "No AirPrint Printers Found" message on my Apple device? What happens if I experience problems when I try to use AirPrint?

If the problem persists, in order to isolate the root cause of the problem is the router or not, I recommend allowing the direct wireless and put your devices on the network printer. This isn't my proposed solution, just a test to see if the devices maintain a connection when we eliminate the router. Here is some information on Direct wireless and how to connect with this method.

Let me know how it goes. If the original document of AirPrint helps you solve the problem, please be sure to mark your post as solved by clicking on the accept button Solution below.

See you soon!

I have a woerkign hp ePrint Center account, ePrint works (finally!) when I send docs to my address email eprint, and also via Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint.  While it's not ruining my life, I would like all the functions of the printer to work :-)

I can print to a network folder, as long as it is on a PC, even if my SIN, it will not print to for some reason, but I guess that's another question :-)

    Hi MF668.

Try to define an alternative DNS and check if that can help you:

    1. Tap the wireless on the top of the screen of the printer and look for the IP address is.
    2. Access to the IP of the printer through the web browser on your PC.
    3. Click the network tab.
    4. Under Wired click IPv4.
    5. Under the DNS Configuration, select manual.
    6. Set the address preferably as 8.8.8.8
    7. Set the e-mail address alternative as 8.8.4.4
    8. Click on apply to confirm the change.

Now, turn the printer off and turn it back on and check for the difference.

I was able to locate the software you're looking for, but from your description, not having is not the software may not be the question. I will first provide you with the software, then if you continue to have problems, let me know and we can go from there.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Unable to connect printer OfficeJet after update Win10

I had my Officejet pro 8600 perfectly connected wireless to Win 7 for several years.

After the update to Win10, I am unable to connect to the printer. The printer status shows that driver is not available.

I checked Win10 and Adobe by other suggestions from the forum. both are up to date with the latest version.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer Win10 driver and the download driver HP. None succeeded.

Run the convenience store Win10 shows that the print spooler cannot be started. He is set to start automatically, but is currently stopped. I can not start it manually, and it does not start after a reboot.

The fixed! I found the following information on a page of the Microsoft Help forum:

Thanks to http://www.registryrecycler.com/blog/2013/12/how-to-fix-printing-error-in-windows-8-1/ for the fix.

Apparently, the Windows 8.1 updates had the same problem.

Editing the registry is necessary. Make sure that you have a backup of the registry before making changes.

    • Press the keys Windows + R on your keyboard to open the run box.
    • Type regedit in the box run and press Enter to open the registry editor.
    • Confirm the UAC message by clicking on the Yes button.
    • In the left pane of the registry editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to find the key below.
    • SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler.
    • While the spooler key is highlighted, you can navigate the right pane to assign the value DependOnService.
    • Double-click the string value to change the data.
    • The data in the value field should contain the text saying RPCSS, followed by http in the next line.
    • Select and delete the letters http and click OK to save your changes.
    • Leave the part of RPCSS to the value data as it is written.
    • Close Registry of Windows and restart your computer.
  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not connecting to my router from 3 BT HomeHub

    Hello

I'll put up my new of Officejet Pro 8600 today and I was not able to get connected to my wifi router. If I try to use the wireless configuration wizard, I get an error saying that the password that I entered is incorrect (this is not - I tried several times to be sure) and I can't use the WPS connection option because this feature is currently disabled on the HomeHub 3 routers.

Can I connect the printer directly to a computer (via USB) or router (via ethernet), but none of these options is convenient as a permanent solution, given the current provision of my home office.

MAC filtering is not in place on the router.

You have other options I can try to get this printer running on my home network?

    Concerning

    Sabine

OK - got this problem 10 minutes after posting the original question. Typical!

The solution was to connect to the main desktop via USB and then use the 'Wi - Fi connection transfer' option in the HP configuration utility.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 periodically loses the wireless connection

I have a new printer HP 8600 settlement. It is configured as a wireless printer and most of the computers on my network are able to access very well.

However, I have a server running Windows 2003 Small Business Server and it's hard to stay connected to the printer. The server is wired through an ethernet cable, the printer is configured as a configuration wireless w / an IP defined manually so that computers can easily locate the printer on the same IP address every time. I used Windows XP drivers to install the printer very well under Win2003SBS. When connected, it prints very well. But after awhile, the printer loses the connection with the Win2003SBS machine. Sometimes it prints, usually, is not. I have to reset the printer as if it is going into such a deep sleep, the server is unable to wake up the printer.

In addition, the printer struggled to connect to shared folders on the server (more precisely, the function "scanner network"). If I go into Internet Explorer by using the browser from the server, then connect to the 8600 via the built-in web server, it won't work. Once the server is connected to the printer on the built-in Web server, the server and the scanner will be will recognize each other. It is a painful and tedious extra step and it will expire after a short period, after which the server and printer must be connected in the same way.

All my computers/printers/faxes are connected to the same wireless Westell 7500 router. They should not have communication problems because they are all pulling IP addresses in the same area.

Is there a way to make the server and the printer recognize themselves and stay connected? Am I wrong configured something? Thank you.

    Hi bluestreak363,

I would change the Ethernet cable to make sure that you have a good solid connection and then download the software driver for Win Server 2003 on the link below.

I understand that you had a few problems with your Officejet 8600 printing since the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I'm sorry to hear what is happening, but I'll certainly try to help.

To get a little help with this question, I would like that you can download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor (running for printing of trouble and difficulty in analysis to ensure that it detects any problems) and if all goes well it should be able to solve this problem for us.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

    Finally a resolution...

I tried running an ePrint of New York telephone, and it worked, but still no luck wirelessly from the PC printing.

He said that the WiFi was indeed working.  So, I did a search for new firmware and found that there was one in April of this year (2016).  Downloaded and took a chance on install.  To my amazement, it is actually installed on the printer without any connection "connected".  Who told me that there is an existing wireless link.

Once the install is complete firmware, I tried to print a worksheet Excel from the PC, and it actually printed!  I have to assume there was something in the formware upgrade which allowed the router from LinkSys (WRT1900AC) to communicate fully and to work with the PC.  The router was published in 2014, so maybe it was.

In any event, everything is in fully working again.

Man y thanks to all who have shared their data entry.  I hope this could help someone with a similar problem in the future.

    Thanks again!

I connect 2.4 GHz, and all my other devices connect to my router using Wireless N without problem. This printer's specifications indicate that it is able to use N Wireless 2.4 GHz. Reset the printer to the default network. Reset your router failing factory. Reconfigure your router back to your configuration. Now try to connect using WA2 - AES encryption to your SSID.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 appears twice in the selection of drop down menu printer with each of the different names.

    Hello!

I recently acquired an Officejet Pro 8600 and immediately connected to my network wireless as stated in the manual. No other type of connection has been used beforehand and the operating system is Windows 7 64 bit.

After that the installation of the printer driver appears twice each time that a program asks me to select a printer from the drop of the printing devices in the typical menu of preparation of printing.

There is an entry for "Officejet Pro 8600 (network)" and something in the sense of 'HP95CDN' (Officejet Pro 8600). I can't remember the exact names off the top of my head, but it is the name of the printer with the 'network' in brackets in one case and a kind of shortcut ID printer with full name in parentheses in the other case.

According to the program, one of the options gives the desired impression while the other simply causes a queue of indelible impression for the name of the unit in question that is stuck to a few KB of data transmission.

Usually printing works with the device with the identification of the printer in its name, but I recently had a case where with LibreOffice printing only works with the other choice.

Can someone explain to me exactly means?

    See you soon,.

    Pete

Direct entry Wireless will be visible under menu so direct wireless is on... However, since you are able to print another icon (not the network icon) I assume direct wireless is off coz you will not be able to print from wireless directly on the printer if you are connected to the router.

I believe that the icon of the printer (not the network icon) has a port WSD assigned and is automatically detected by the operating system and installed.

Go to service window and check if you have any input that says function Discovery Provider Host and see if it is started. Try to stop the service, and remove the icon of the printer (not the network icon) in the print server properties.

Restart the PC and check if the icon comes back or try to uninstall and reinstall

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: HPCC0C36 - is - this?

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600, which is connected wireless to my home network.  It is the only printer on the network.

When I discovered the printing devices I see:

    HP Officejet Pro 8600 (network)

    and

    HPCC0C36 (HP Officejet Pro 8600)

'Settings' which shows the HP Officejet Pro 8600 (network is not connected even though I can still print it.  "Settings" also shows the HPCC0C36 (HP Officejet Pro 8600).

Can someone please tell me what that HPCC0C36 (HP Officejet Pro 8600) and if it is safe to delete it as I think that having both affects my ability to scan directly from the printer. ?

    Hello

When you see before the printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600), general name HPCC0C36 means that windows 10 has installed the driver built-in Windows.

Windows discover printers on your network and display them like this.

This isn't a problem - it is in place to simplify the installation process, if the software is not necessary.

Try right click of the HPCC0C36 (this number is a single login for your printer) and "remove hardware".

Hi all.  Hoping that someone out there has experienced and solved the problem, I will describe.  We have a desktop computer with Windows XP Dell, a Dell laptop with Windows 8 and several iPhone 4.  We also have a quantum Verizon FIOS router, which we installed a week ago.  (We were able to print to the printer HP of all of our devices, once the new router has been installed).  Until today, all of our devices connected to the router and our range of HP printers.  Today, we cannot print anything for the HP printer.  We uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software.  We have followed all the steps HP print and Scan doctor.  We have unplugged the printer and the router and plugged them both back.  We rebooted all electronic devices.  We ran the network Test on the printer wireless and did get the message 'no problem found.  Congratulations on the success of your wireless printer setup. "All the results of the test came as a 'PASS '.  Still no luck.  The printer is 'offline' and none of our electronic devices even recognize it.  Any help would be welcome!
