  First 14 elements doesn't seem to be coping very well being located behind a firewall and have access to the internet (for online content) through a proxy (configured by proxy.pac... can't change that).   Hi ATR & one who reads this.

  I come to the solution by using Wireshark to analyze what happens when Premiere Elements wants to download content such as 'titles and text. As mentioned previously, seems many internet traffic resumes with success the proxy settings correct and is therefore through the proxy server.

  Managed to get the Premiere Elements to download content online by allowing the following FQDN on the Cisco corporate firewall (not for the first relevant destinations are blocked on our proxy):

  Under vmware workstation, the virtualized esxi uses the virtual NIC (probably E1000) driver, which is supported.  The host operating system uses its own realtek driver.

  When you try to run ESXi on bare metal, it doesn't have a realtek driver, if it fails.

  It is a driver problem.

  You can check if the BD Internet connection in Setup is set to allow. In the home menu, you must go through the installation> BD/DVD display settings> BD Internet connection> Allow. You can refer to the Operating Instructions for future reference.

• Strange behavior of Flash in Firefox

  I am currently designind my portfolio online with Flash. It is intended to be a liquid design that fills the browser window. I was more or less happy coding with AS3 and Flash CS5 when I noticed something really odd, and that could become a big problem: Firefox can't read the animation correctly.

  I would get this right: the animation loads, the user interface starts appearing (it is created dynamically from the main class in AS3), and then it justs... stop acting. No sound, no other UI element, nothing. First of all, I thought that I coded wrong something, but - drumrolls-it works OK by itself (that is, when I open the SWF file manually).

  I knew then the NPSWF32.dll plugin, since it will not of course be used by Windows Explorer (which I suppose use the AX version). But I was denied, too. Opera, who uses it too (I double checked in Process exploring and making sure windows resource monitor) play the file correctly. So, to summarize:

  • File to run from windows Explorer: works
  • Whitin Flash executed file (CTRL + ENTER, etc.): works
  • File executed within IE (both inside and outside the HTML file) on localhost: works
  • File running in Opera 11 (both inside and outside the HTML file) on localhost: works
  • File running in Firefox (both inside and outside the HTML file) on localhost: FAILS.

  I also suspected a problem with the acceleration hardware, but even when I disable it, the problem persists.

  It is really annoying because 10 to 20% of inernet users use Firefox, a percentage that is even higher if we consider the technology savvy population, which is one of my key audiences. While I'll lose a lot of opportunities, if this does not work.

  I just tested it on another computer by accessing the local server from there. (Win 7 x 64 professional, core 2 duo T9600, nVidia GTX 260 M, 8 GB of RAM)

  It might help to share a link to the animation so that others can view them (of course, who opens what version of FF and the Flash view it with).

  • You can try another browser that uses the same plugin as FF - Google Chrome - to see what is happening (as another test).
  • Also, try to separate look a SWF in FF between the consultation in HTML and actually open the SWF with FF (just drag the SWF file in FF) so see if it shows different results.
  • You have problems to view other Flash content in FF when you browse various sites online?
