says the hard drive can it be fixed?
The hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.
If you need help with selection and replace of the disk station hard back with model number & full product as indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop.
How can I find my model number or product number

ID RGFUR3-5S06QF-XD6V4K-60UC03 failure
I have a Pavilion dm4 laptop and ran the Advanced System Diagnostics version 3.7.1.0 HP and got this result:
DST short: failure
Hard drive test - failed
ID RGGUR3-5S06QF-XD6V4K-60UC03 failure
Product ID QE374UA #ABA
What does all this mean.
UmpDan
It means that you need to replace the hard drive. You can replace it with a hdd in detail. Just be sure to get one with a capacity at least as large as the original in order to use HP recovery media to reinstall Windows. It may be more capacious, but not smaller. For example, if you have a 320, you could use a 500 GB but not a 250 GB.

Reconfigure the keys F dm4?
Hello
So what I didn't know when I bought my dm4, it was that the regular F keys functions would be available if I hit the function key at the same time. Personally, I have almost zero use for easy access to the volume conrol and screen brightness, for example. However, I use a transcription software that uses the F keys to control the program. Except that now I have to press the function key to operate. It is, as you can imagine, incredibly aggravating.
Example: normally, pressing F10 will begin recording in my software to transcript at normal speed. Now, if I forgot to hit the function (or I get bored, which is much more aggravating), the volume increases instead. This becomes especially problematic when I want to hit the F4 key to stop the recording of the game. If she does not soon, I have to go back. And since I'm typing while playing, press the function key gets a serious exercise in acrobatics.
Is it possible to reprogram this thing to ensure the functions in the reverse order, essentially? i.e. If the volume will go up if I hit the button and function the F10 at the same time? I know almost nothing computer, then maybe this is a stupid question...
Thank you very much!

P2-1334: Hard Disk short DST failed
My computer would not start: he would stay with the logo "hp" with a black screen. I ran a test start and while the check of processor, memory test and Smart hard drive tests all pass, the short DST hard drive failed. Failure ID is:
M0FX2C-0007LA-PXPB1F-60UC03 and the product ID is: H3Y74AA #ABA. I need to replace the hard drive or that it takes to sweat then? The computer is out of warranty by about 1 1/2 years. I prefer to fix it myself.
Yes, say that the hard drive needs to be replaced. Here is the Service Manual:
It's a little hard to follow, but basically take off the side and the drive is there.
You have a 500 GB drive, but you can install any size. I suggest a 1 TB drive, like this:
http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822236339
Desktop hard drives are sold in many places... Wal-Mart, office stores, etc. or you can order online at newegg or amazon.com.

Thanks for any help. Here is the Service Manual:
Replacement hard drive is shown on page 36 of the manual. Your laptop, plug, came with a disk 5400 RPM 500 GB. This model uses 7mm superslim hard drives is as well as what you buy. There are also options for a solid m2 or normal size state drive solid state SATA drive as a replacement for the mechanical drive slow 5400 RPM. In other words, it would be the perfect opportunity to speed it up a little.
It would be a 7200 RPM mechanical drive of 500 concerts and would be a good replacement at low cost:

System will tune up to fix my short DST hard drive.
My hp pavilion g7 froze yesterday after saying that it could not connect to the internet. I tried to restart. The hp logo comes on and then a point circle for about three minutes. Then the screen turns white, but it is still on, you can see a light blue on screen. Any way, I hit escape in and got the screen with the options. I ran the race in the test and the test to start. Both are back with hard drive DST short. Failure. Intelligent control in any case failure I've had is 64 x 950 - 6 h 9783-mfpx0k-60uc03. Help!

UDPDatagramConnection unexpected behavior when receiving packets from datagrams

Anyone an idea what I am doing wrong? The only assumption that I have is that the threading in java, is cooperative and non-preemptive. And, therefore, it may not receive a performance inside the call blocking. The result in an impasse which sucks all CPU away from my main thread which is necessary to analyze the messages that are received and send support delivery receipts. If this is the case, I am in a bad place. If this isn't the case, please let me know, and I hope that you can report to a part of the solution to get this puppy running.
Thank you!
For the record, here are my findings regarding this problem.
(1) receive, by definition a blocking call, does NOT have in-house Thread.yield (). Which, alone, is enough to starve other threads in the CPU and provided the watchdog available on BlackBerry, it is a serious gap in architecture not to do.
(2) performance, efficiency and performance more... The model available for the thread BlackBerry java is cooperative (non-preemptive). Accordingly, in my code, I only had one call yield() and it wasn't enough. When I started putting yield() calls everywhere, the problem disappeared. As a by-product of this conclusion, I extrapolate that the java VM does not give internally in most (maybe all) of his calls (even the call blocking the reception). This is a disaster, I think, in terms of acrobatics that we must cross in order to bypass this aspect.
(3) in order to bypass the hungry from my other son at the time received nothing, I had to periodically send an empty datagram (since we can't even define a timeout). The ATT in the world will be happy about this since I use the bandwidth in order to work around a design flaw (providing them with $$$).
If someone is able to confirm my findings, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

CreateFile API returns access denied plugin Adobe on Windows 7.
Hi all
I tried to create a file on the desktop using CreateFile Win32 API from an Adobe Reader plugin on 64 bit Windows 7 computer. It works fine on the XP machine. But, when I tried to run it on a Windows - 7 6-bit machine, it gives access denied error.
When I tried to do this in a standalone application, it works fine.
Can someone help me what goes wrong here.

Adobe Acrobat Reader wish to change my pdf when closing it. Why?
Hello
I'm working on a generator of small and simple pdf (as stated in my previous question).
When you open my pdf generated with Adobe Acrobat Reader, everything is OK.
But when I close the popup of Adobe Reader a message asking if I want to save the changes.
Why Adobe Reader want to change my pdf?
Is there something wrong with it?
Here is a really tiny little sample to a pdf from a blank page generated (everything is pure ASCII, because there is no compression, no data flow,... and it's a copy/paste in a text editor, so I've not translated typo in my post).
I think I followed the specifications; but maybe I missed something?
