• I have an old Handspring Visor Edge, Windows XP and I still get an initial fatal exception on hotsync error

  I just downloaded the latest Palm Desktop software.  every time I sync, I get a fatal exception error.  all I want to do is save what is on this old visor and a transfer it to my most recent Zire 72.  In fact, I need help on these two questions if anyone can help me... PLEASE, I BEG YOU!  I have well over 100 names and addresses and we will never have to transfer.

• Old version Edge inspect for iOS

  Hello

  I had a version of edge inspect for iOS installed on an old iPod Touch running ios 4.2.1, which was along very happily with the edge inspect the entire system. I removed it but thinking I might update later and not surrender account that this was not the case. I was curious to know why the Soft Edge inspect must 4.3 and if the old version was always going to be available for older devices? I can't upgrade to 4.3 as its old machines and I'm sure that there are still many devices out there with 4.2 on them so why shouldn't it work?

  Hey Chris,

  It's limitation of 4.5 Xcode (Apple Developer tools) that we needed to be upgraded to support the iPhone 5 and iOS6 compatibility, your lowest deployment target is 4.3, the iOS client is dependent on the support of Xcode.

• Version of the model discovered visor

  Hello!

  I'm new to palm-type computers and I don't know much about them.  I was given an old Handspring Visor by an associate who was compensation to his office.  I don't have the CD, the instruction booklet or the charger to charge it.  I have the USB media docking station connect the device to my computer.   The Tunis only on the device itself is the "Handspring" and "Visor" logo and a web address. No model number, I can easily find.  The web address gives me a list of Handspring Visor models to choose from the "Visor Deluxe", "Visor Prism" among other models of visor from where I can download the appropriate manuals and software and for more information on the appropriate accessories.  However, given that my device does not say what model it is.  I don't know which is the case for download.  I would be grateful if someone can give me information on how can I find out what version of Handspring Visor I use probably.

• Select and artifacts of mask using the new refine edge

  Hi all

  is - that someone else has had this problem since the last update version 2015.5.0 Photoshop?

  I find strange artifacts when using select and mask and the new brush refine edge that would not happen in the old refine edge.

  The Alpha channel looks good but the image shows of strange artifacts and blurry tasks and resembling traces of brush end hard.

  I took the time to correct my mask in order to remove any traces of brush hard edge, but they seams to still be there. I find it very frustrating.

  

  Hmmm... think I just found the answer to my question. I got the color box to decontaminate tiquetee.

  I have hidden without this box and the blur and artifacts disappeared. My recommendation for anyone making high range of editing and masking is to leave this box unchecked.

• Handspring Visor is a "unrecognized USB device" for Windows XP

  Hello World-

  I feel as if I have a career to synchronize my PDA hot! I used to hotsync regularly on my old HP Windows 98 machine, and now that I have this new (er) eMachines Windows XP Pro system, I got nothing but heartache. Here's the situation:

  My Visor Deluxe runs Palm OS 3.1H3, apparently the latest version which will work with it. The computer is running Windows XP Pro SP2. I have hotsync a few times when I got to the computer, but it has never been reliable. Now I surely CAN NOT synchronize! When I press the button on the cradle, Windows hotsync ALWAYS reports, "USB device not recognized" and of course the visor says he couldn't make contact with the office.

  HotSync manager is running (I have the blue and red arrow on the taskbar icon), and if I look at the Device Manager when I try to sync, is apparently trying to get the driver, he simply painted the same list. The list does NOT include the Palm, Handspring or unknown devices.

  I followed the directions "clean uninstall" I found on this forum and re-installed Palm Desktop 4.01. That worked once a week or two ago, but now when I arrive at the end of the installation, when I'm supposed to hot sync, I get the error not recognized USB.  I even tried to install Palm Desktop software version 6.2, but which ended up in a mess - I was getting errors like "Ordinal 23 could not bewildered because of the trajectory messed up', or words to that effect... I think it's ok for XP, but not "peripheral" as my trusty old visor :-)

  I know I should try to use the same configuration on another computer to be sure that the visor is ok, but I don't have access to another machine; In addition, the PDA has no other wierdness. Soft resets do nothing, but I don't want to try a hard reset until I get everything synced to the top! I am at my wit's end and don't know what else to try. I tried both my cribs and a number of different USB connections both at the front and the back of the PC. The USB hardware in the computer seems to be fine with everything else - mouse, camera, mp3, flash drives. I'm beginning to suspect that I need to plug with USB 1 and these are 2 USB, but I don't know how to check either of these things, or how "throttle" in the case, I have to use the USB as soon as possible.

  I was with you until the end. I hate to ask, but could you clarify this just a little:

  Ok. I read three "if" statements, and try to understand what is meant here. If they ask you a user name AND if I synced before, AND if I do not synchronize before creating a hotsync name, I put in 'test '. Means I can't use the name I used for this camera? Or are you suggesting that, really, should I open Palm Desktop and create the username before I hotsync for the first time (after the new installation)?

  I * have * synchronized before, and I don't plan to sync until everything is set up right, which to me should mean that Palm Desktop is ready with a username to match your handheld.

  Also, these indications seem in conflict which advised you to in the first paragraph, where you said:

  When you install Palm desktop, skip the hotsync process and complete the installation. After installation, adjust the conduit in hotsync manager for handheld overrides desktop, then synchronize with PC. During the connection process, it will ask you a username, enter the same username which is located in the upper right of the screen on your handheld hotsync.

  It * seems * that what you say I have to do is:

  (A) clean uninstall - move data to safe places, uninstall, and then remove all traces of "Palm" and "Handspring" of the registry.

  (B) restart the computer.

  (C) install Palm desktop, but not hot sync again.

  (D) open Palm Desktop, add the user name (Tools/users) and set the lines for handheld overrides Desktop.

  (E) hot sync.

  Isn't it? Sorry to be so simple, but I want to make sure to proceed exactly right. Thank you very much for your reply and for your help.

  I have a little more trouble with the ISDN link. Everything works perfectly now, I can make calls to 384 k ISDN.

  Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm just trying to use the ISDN link in which it is never intended?

  You do no way, it was not designed to be is supposed to work this way, allowing you to make IP or ISDN calls.  We have ours up and running in this way and it works well.

  One thing to check would be the network cables that you are using - good markets and bad cables can often cause problems when using a quality cable can solve the problem.

  Check your switch configuration to make sure that you are not forcing a setting the speed/duplex, which then is not being properly negotiated by the equipment then plug (or make sure that force you the settings the entire path if you need to do).

• How to print

  I have an old handspring Edge that I have all my info on. I need to print a mileage of 3rd party, think that DB, y at - it software that will allow printing in connected to the desktop computer?

  I don't know that there is a way to directly print the data, but I think that you can export the data to a different format, and then go from there.

  It's been so long that I did but I had an application that uses a similar database and there was an option to export to CSV. Which exported all the data in the CSV format in Notepad. Then you sync with Palm Desktop, then copy and paste the Notepad entries to something else such as Excel or Notepad.

• My new Deskjet 3050 does not print booklets from left edge just like my old 4500. No idea why?

  There seems to be some missing options on my new Deskjet 3050. My old 4500 print left edge books easily in the menu options, but there is nothing similar in the menu of 3050.

  OK, I downloaded and installed the Deskjet 3050 driver and it seems pretty basic, but it has worked for print to my Photosmart c310a.  Which would indicate that it's compatible PCL3GUI.  I then installed the Officejet 4500 driver and it also works on the c310a printing.  Given everything that I suggest the following:

  Go to start, devices and printers, click with the right button on the Deskjet 3050 select printer, advanced, following new driver properties, select HP for the manufacturer and select the driver HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m, then finished.  [If the Officejet 4500 is not in the list then download driver HP, install the driver and select network to connect.  When the installer says that it cannot find the 4500 to check the box "connect later.  [Once this is done, then come back her select Start above and change the driver.]

  This will change the name of the printer for Officejet 4500, you can rename this option to indicate that it is a Deskjet 3050.  You can do this by right-clicking on the printer, select printer properties, then checnging the name that you want.

  Once this is done, you should have the driver options available with the 4500.

• BUG - edge animate 20141 (October) cannot open the old files (from 2014 version)

• Edge of InDesign to iPad. Animation continues reviewing old images

  It is a weird problem, I've been tripping for weeks. I have an animation of edge on page 1 of a file Indesign CS6. When I export for the iPad, some very old images appear. These images are not found in the timeline, or my computer. If I copy and paste that exactly the same thing. OAM in a Folio again, the new graphics will appear. But, once I move in the rest of the 20 pages, the animation back to the old images. Page 1 is haunted and the ghost of the last images appears when I add in the other pages. What is going on?

  So far, I have created new folios, created again. OAM files, updated each graph on my computer that has the same images used, but the problem persists.

  As usual, I fix my problem once that I post about it. But as others may run into this question, that's what I did. I dragged Page 1 last page, this will correct the image problem. Then I dragged for page 2 just for fun, then page 1, where images updated FINALLY stuck.

  What is a weird problem.

• Switch to the old UI selection Edge?

  I've just updated to the last 2015.5 of CC in Photoshop, and when I go to change the selection Edge, this format is completely new. It does not at all as before.

  Now, I don't know what I'm doing. I need to switch back somehow. Is this possible without having to reinstall the latest version of Photoshop?

  Select workspace and mask replaces the dialog box refine edge in previous versions of Photoshop, offering the same functionality in a simplified way.

• can I open an old animated file from adobe with adobe edge animate 2015

  I'm trying to follow a course on lynda.com.  But their course files has been made on adobe animate 2014.  When I try to open the file with adobe animate 2015 it does not?  But the file will not open with the older version of adobe edge animate 2014 either.  Is there a reason or solution for this?

  Animate animate Adobe and Adobe Edge are two different applications, you cannot open the other.

  I have updated to a new mac and try to add previous versions of Adobe Edge, but when I go here https://www.adobe.com/au/products/edge-animate.html# and I am connected, it asks me to download a trial (even if I have the latest version installed through creative cloud) and I get no menu dropdown "in this version.

  Sorry to hear that you experience these symptoms of msi.

  There was formerly a msi Cleanup utility, you can run to get out of this State, but microsoft it takes longer because of dangerous side effects.  Instead they now offer this troubleshooting page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651.

  I just tried to run the MS fix it to the utility from this page which is a separate program that you download (direct link: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9779673&entrypointid=MATSKB).

  I chose:

  1. Accept
  2. Detect problems and allow me to select patches
  3. Uninstalling

  The utility then gave me a list of my installed programs.  See if you can find Adobe Shadow and then see if the utility can uninstall correctly this way.  Once Adobe Shadow is deleted successfully, the installer of edge inspect should work fine.
