On photosmart C410a default print settings

I want to put the default value of the print on a black PhotoSmart C410a only settings. How can I do this?

OK, when you start a print job in the window that appears before you print, make sure that the arrow next to the name of the printer is oriented upward.  If this is not the case, click it.

Now, in the Presets Select plain paper, Fast Draft, black and white.  This will 'stick' until the next time that you choose.

If you're wondering how to disable completely the use of color ink, it's a totally different subject...

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

It seems that what you want to do is to save your settings as a preset favorite. Not exactly define value by default, but easier than manually make changes every time you print. Take a look at this article to find out how that is done.

  • DEFAULT PRINTER SETTINGS

Hi, I really hope that someone can help me.  I'm certainly not very informed on this stuff, but I know that I don't have this problem before updating my computer on Windows 8.1.  I do a lot of type of printing project before printing a finished product.  Then... I changed my settings to default print for "Black ink only" and "draft".  However, every time I start to print in MSWORD, MSEXCEL, MSPOWERPOINT; in fact one of my software applications, properties do not reflect the default settings I applied using Tune or when you access the printer through my control panel. I see that when I access the device, I show 2 printers to choose; both are the HP Officejet Pro 8600 premium but cited "USB", and the other quote 'Network' (of course, I do understand that either).  It's the 'Network' printer that will not save the changes.  If I am making any sense, can someone please help me?  I'll be very grateful.  Thanking you in advance, IM4GLTR1

Your printer is connected via a USB cable from your computer to the printer?  Or... is it connected wireless to your router?

Sounds like you or someone else have configured the printer to do both.  Select the correct printer in the control panel that reflects your configuration.  Try now.

  • return to the default print settings

How can I prevent the print settings to return to the default settings after printing 1 envelope? I just got a new brother laser printer and it prints fine for normal size letter paper.  However, when I set the printing options for 100 envelopes, it prints 1 and stops, and the printing options began to default settings.  Brother service technicians say that it is a problem of microsoft.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

The service Tech brother would say that he/she saved having them nothing to do.

If you have installed the brother according to the brother by using their full features software, what/how the printer, its output product is down to the brother Software, not earned.

    Hello AllAmerican1347

If you go to the control panel and printers and fax machines, you should see the printer there. Right-click on the printer and select Properties. If you define the settings here, it should be the global default.

Tip If you want to print ink black only some printers require that you select black ink only after choosing grayscale.

  • On D110A default print settings

I installed my printer wireless on my network and all computers can print from it fine.  I wonder how I can configure a print setting default for everything that prints it.  For example, when I have the air print something on my iPad is always in color.  I rarely want to print in color, so I want to set a default value for the printer to always print in grayscale, quick project, unless specifically requested otherwise.  Is there a way to do this?  I have looked through the manual and do not see it.

  • Define the print settings defaiult on Photosmart C309 using Mac

When I installed the Photosmart C309 software on my Mac, I noticed that the HP Solution Center does not appear.  I used to use a pc, so I was familiar with the Solution Center.  I tried to reinstall the software, but still no Solution Center.  It seems that without it, I have no way to set the default print settings.  Does anyone have a solution (pun intended!) for this?

OK, thanks for that.  default 10.8 work this way - for all applications which you print, your Mac, remembers the mode in which it last impression.  There is no universal default, for example.

Try it and see if it behaves in this way.

I encountered the same problem with my HP F4280 All in one and figured out what the problem was.  I am using Windows 7 then the following steps work for this OS well its probably similar for Vista users.

Click the Pearl icon (Start), and then click devices and printers

Double-click your printer icon to open the HP Center

Under Printer Actions, click on customize it your printer link

    Click the Advanced tab

Click on the button to default print (lower-left)

If you haven't already done so, create a custom shortcut in changing one of the default settings of HP and then choose Save as

Choose your shortcut in the list, and then press the button apply

Press OK and you get back to the center of HP

Close the center of HP (X in the upper right corner)

However, this is where I ran into problems... If the program you are printing from is currently open (Photoshop in my case) the default print settings will NOT change until you restart the program. Restart your program (Web browser, Photoshop, paint etc) and now your default print settings should be updated to use your custom default shortcut.

I hope this will help some of you who have had problems.

  • HP 88620 all-in-One: printer settings HP 8620

    Hello

My Hp8620 works perfectly until yesterday.

When you print a document (.pdf, .doc, .xls, even from firefox), for example, the default print settings are automatically set to horizontal and the paper format is 'other' for when I feel that it displays on the part of the text.

I have re-installed, but this did not solve the problem.  I can of course put manully and set the settings to use the ones from last time, but this isn't the goal and the printer should work for everyone in the House.

Would be great if anyone could offer any help with this problem.

    Hey @rallydriv3r,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with your Mac OS x 10.10 machine printing to your Officejet 8620 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. If your printer is connected to your Mac via a USB cable, remove it.
    2. Close any programs you have open.
    3. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    4. Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
    5. Click on reset printing system.

Now, if you removed the USB cable, plug it. Otherwise:

    1. Click the 'more' in the lower left corner.
    2. Select your printer from the list.
    3. Click on the box to use and select your printer from the list.
    4. Click on Add.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can print successfully, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Photosmart C410A: HP Solution Center install on 2 PCs for the same printer

I have two PCs running Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit and a HP Photosmart C410A printer, wireless connections to my network.  The solution Center has worked well on the first PC, it was installed on.  I tried to install it on my new PC, but I get an error on USB hardware and software; It will not attempt to connect and install wireless.

My question: can you run Solution Center HP of two different PC for the same printer Photosmart C410A?

    Thank you.

    Yes,

You can install the HP Solution Center software on several computers connected to the same netowrk as your printer.

Try following these steps to solve the USB error during installation:

Click the Start button and type folder in the search bar, then open the Temp folder indicated.

Open the last HP installation folder that begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
    Open the installation folder.
Find the file usbready.exe and rename it to usbready.old.exe
Navigate to the main extraction folder (folders that begins with 7z) and run the Setup.exe file.

Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

    Kind regards
    Shlomi
