on the dimension of a fall by using PL/SQL

We know that there is a command DROP SIZE, however, it is only suitable for ROLAP dimensions, and it cannot be used to drop the sides created in analytic Workspace Manager or MOLAP dimensions created in owb. In addition, the MOLAP dimensions are invisible from Oracle Enterprise Manager. The only way I can know if there should ask of object.

I would like to ask if I could use the PL/SQL to drop the MOLAP dimensions, because I met metadata inconsistency (I was able to question the size of object but cannot see it in owb).

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Are you running it as the user DM_TEST? Also, which version of the database are you using?

For a validation test, you can run the script even without action

begin
dbms_cube.import_xml(q'!

!');
end;
/

If it is not picking up the real dimension of the D_CUST you might get an error like this

ERROR at line 1:

  • move 11.1.2.0 to the dimensions of a 11.1.2.2 EPMA

    What is the best way to migrate EPMA shared library 11.1.2.0 to 11.1.2.2 dimensions?

    How you build the dimensions? They built on the Interface Tables, flat file, or locally in EPMA generator?
    I usually prefer the sources of migration tables (if you use the interface tables), import of profiles and then restart for each of the dimensions. I found that using LCM on the dimensions of EPMA can be a little strange sometimes when you have attributes.

  • Configure the notification email in XE without 'EM in sql / plsql

    Hi guys,.

    I was wondering if anyone knows where configure outgoing by mmon mail server should send alert emails.

    My platform is an Oracle XE 10 DB, and I have not implemented the thing of XE (control of the database for XE) Administration web.
    because I installed Apex.

    So what I want to know is:
    How Oracle XE are configurable from plsql to send alerts by e-mail, including how to configure the host emaili, email ID etc.

    Thank you all and have a good weekend!

    MMON all done we put messages on a queue called ALERT_QUE. That means EM is subscribe to this queue, remove and send an e-mail/page of. The latter is done by EM himself doesn't use only not the packages built in.

    In the absence of 'EM, you would use PL/SQL for:

    (1) managing thresholds using DBMS_SERVER_ALERT
    (2) subscribe to and dequeue with DBMS_AQ
    (3) send emails with UTL_SMTP/UTL_MAIL

    At the moment there is no integrated package to send pages. If you really need to send pages, you will need to communicate with an external service that can send pages or use the API of any paging software, you use either Java stored procs or external procedures written in C
    This is a good amount of code to write, but you will have your own stored procedures that you would be able to reuse against any DB.

    You really need to read the section called "additional APIs to Manage Server-Generated alerts:

  • Scaling of the Dimensions for devices using different devices of BB.

    Hi all

    I just wanted to know if there was another way outside the scale using the dimensions of the basic screen, resize the buttons in an application, so that it remains in proportion to the screen no matter what dimensions... That is, no matter what the model used 9850 or 9930 or another using OS 7.0

    I tried to use certain factors that are common to both the dimensions of 640 x 480 and 800 x 480 screen. But I don't think it's a fairly generalized approach.

    Any ideas?

    I don't know that you have understood what I was saying.

    I think it is important to scale things so that

    (1) they are legible on the screen

    (2) the user can interact with them.

    So I ignore the number of pixels on the screen in the installation plan things.  Instead the code I gave you is to calculate the number of pixels used in 1 cm on the screen.  If you can scale using them to make sure that things are quite large.  So whatever the screen, I can take and resize it to a specific size on the screen - size visible, not number of pixels.

    Exactly the same thing happens to fonts.  If you look on the BlackBerry, you can change the font.  But the sizes that you specify are points, they are full-scale to the screen.  So, if you select BlackBerry Alpha without, 8 on a 9900, the and then ask if how high it is

    (font.getHeight (l)

    It returns a result in pixels.  If you do the same thing, using the same font, the torch, you'll find that the number of pixels used on the torch is much smaller.  The police are the same physical size on the screen, but it uses more pixels on the 9900 because the actual resolution of this screen is higher.

    There is a confusion here.  Most people, I think not correctly, use the term screen resolution to designate the number of pixels on the screen.  For me, it's just the size of the screen, the resolution is the pixels per inch.  Pixels per inch is what the code I gave actually calculates (I use centimeters because I'm not in the United States, and cm is more commonly used than the thumb here).

    Anyway, I don't think you understood what I was saying before, and you thought I was doing just the same thing as you.  I don't think I was.  Please re-read and see if you understand better now.

  • ScriptUI: get the dimensions of the container using the automatic formatting?

    No there is no way to get the dimensions of a ScriptUI container that uses the automatic formatting?  What container root (Panel or window)?  I'm writing a presentation for a group and I would like to react to the dimensions of the window or Panel, as it is resized, but it seems that this info is still not defined when the automatic formatting is used for containers of the ancestor.  No there is no way to know what size of the containers of the ancestor is without write handlers of layout custom for each of them?

    I think that it is either

  • why we use Parent parent adjs total parent in the dimension value in HFM

    Hi Experts

    Can someone give me please an explanation of why we use Parent, parent adjs and total in the dimension value in HFM?

    concerning
    Smilee

    Hello
    As a quick response, when you post a journal to adjustment, this setting affects all parent entities. On the contrary, if you post an adjustment of newspaper [Adjs Parent] then you must also select which parent entities should be affected by the review (while all the other parents will not be affected). So that this discussion is relevant, you must have your entity shared as part of several parents. If you're a single parent so this does not apply. Note that, to make this work, you must have active AllowAdjFromChildren

  • Removal of the Dimensions / cubes using DBMS commands

    Hello

    I have an implementation of OLAP Oracle 11 g, which includes a number of cubes and their related dimensions.

    A modification is necessary for one of the dimensions, and I want to apply this change to all of the associated cubes.
    I would like to do this in a script if possible, rather than using the MN.

    First of all, is it possible to apply the size changed to the workspace without deleting the current version and the related cubes? This reveal obviously be the most desirable approach.

    If this is not possible, is there an order of DBMS can I use to remove the cubes and the already existing dimension?
    I have xml files to re-create objects, once the existing versions are deleted.

    Thank you very much
    John

    The various DBMS_CUBE. IMPORT_XML procedures will take a specificaion XML (for example, AWM) and apply to the database. If the XML code declares an object that already exists, then it will be simply updated to match the XML.

    There are a few caveats here.

    A: you must remove all the variables of the XML binding before sending it to DBMS_CUBE warning. IMPORT_XML

    Step 1: Remove the following preamble from the XML, so she's here

      %BIND_VALUES;
      ]>

    Step 2: Edit the following section so that he calls the real AW instead of the variable binding.

    So it should end up with something like this:

    Caveat B: The XML is additive - new objects found in the XML file will be created, but not found in the XML file existing objects will not be deleted

    To remove an object, you must add an explicit XML attribute of the form Action = "DELETE" the object of (sub) - you want to remove. For example this PL/SQL deletes the attribute named MY_ATTRIBUTE to the dimension named PRODUCT.

    declare
    begin
     dbms_cube.import_xml( to_clob(
    '

    ') );
    end;
    /

    C warning: lists of objects are objects that are additive, so new always go at the end of the list, regardless of their order in the XML

    To reorder a list of objects, you must use the Action = 'CLEAR', and then add the objects in the new order. The following example moves the ITEM level to the top of the product hierarchy.

    GLOBAL > select level_name from user_cube_hier_levels where dimension_name = 'PRODUCT' order by order_num;

    LEVEL_NAME
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    TOTAL_PRODUCT

    FAMILY
    ITEM

    GLOBAL > begin
     dbms_cube.import_xml( to_clob(
    '

    ') );
    end;
    /

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    This can happen because of the < center > element that does not have a height and a width specified. Don't forget to specify the dimensions for all containers if you use percentages, otherwise you can end up with 90% of 0 or a default value.

    They are equivalent, except that the int32 has been forgotten in the first!

    And a comma in the declaration of type for both!

    Personally, I tend to use the other, but never did more 2D pictures. For multi-D arrays, the first can be interesting if you get to make a loop on the dimensions of the matrix somehow.
