  There are various reasons why the serial number can be lost/invalidated. • Photoshop CS6 upgrade from versions CS4 continually asking serial number.

  I bought an upgrade Photoshop CS 4 to 6 CS Photoshop directly from Adobe in December of 2012. (My version of CS4 was purchased by me as part of a CS4 Web Premium Suite.)

  My CS4 version works since 2009 with no licensing issues.

  Serial numbers contain only numbers.  You can have a redemption code that is used to obtain a serial number (or you are using the wrong serial number).

  I am a user of creative cloud and wonder a serial number inside DPS App Builder.

  I have the latest indesign CC and you follow the steps to remove and reinstall DPS App Builder three times with the digital edition Patch. If you follow the instructions to select "create app' inside the constructor folio in indesign - it launches DPS App Builder." It automatically connect me and takes me to the "start page" where I can eith "learn more" or manage.
  

  I expect that I would take to another screen having recognized that I am creating an application - in which I can add the assets directly.

  From there I selected "continues to manage view" and then click on 'New' and load in the .zip (which had been created by the DPS producer: Organizer) and assets (icons).

  The next step is to activate but I amd asked a serial number.

  Good question and check what I think I spotted the problem with that.

  A secondary account is joint membership plan.

  It was my mistake forgetting it - the license should have set up at the main account, however after moving from country Adobe would not be welcome.

  Or open a separate account and request to transfer your individual copy of Acrobat for it. Then connect to that account on your computer to third and you should be fine.

  1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\, here you need to rename the folder named "SLStore" "SLStore_old" or you can use any name of your choice. (Please note: ProgramData is a hidden folder and you may not be able to see it.) Make sure that hidden files do not appear on your computer, you can follow this link to the same thing: Show hidden - files-Windows help)
  2. Then go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache. Delete all the files and folder in this folder. Make sure that you do not remove the SLCache itself.

  Then, restart the application and follow on screen instructions to activate the product.

  If the problem persists you need to connect to the internet for once & then try to activate the product.
