"Open door".

Although my 6310 All in One Printer is out of date and guaranteed, all I want to know is; How can I get this message deleted? Otherwise, my printer does not work. I think it has to do with the cartridges, but I replaced both of them and the message remains in place blocking printing.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • OfficeJet pro 8610: open door error ADF

The ADF begins to pull on a page then stops and says that there is a door open ADF error.  I don't see where this would be. This is the first time I've ever used the ADF, so I can't tell if it worked before or not.  The cover is not closed tight on the glass... which means that there is like a 1/4 "crack all around.  I put the weight down on it and tried again, but which did not help. Any suggestions?

    Hello @Idempke, greetings!

Thanks for joining the HP Forums. I would like to help

I understand that you are getting the error ADF door open on your printer. Try following the steps and check them out below:

Make sure that the doors of the ADF are closed on both sides. Please check the picture below. The red part surrounded by a circle is the ADF door. You can open the door and close the door with little force.

If the problem persists, try to unplug the printer from the power outlet when the printer is turned on. Wait 2 - 3 minutes then turn on the printer and check.

Let me know how it goes

  • Left with disassembled laptop and had to open door DVD

    Hello

Due to a long history (left hinge of my SL500 broken so I had to open to replace, so I went)

    http://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/ion/SL400_500/index.html

follow the instructions to remove the keyboard and the LCD Panel blah blah, but I got to a point where I couldn't remove two specific screws because my DVD door required to open/be removed first, but I didn't do it by following the official instructions, because that the ThinkPad on the instructions had no DVD player apparently) I find myself with a laptop that doesn't have a fan, the keyboard, the hard drive, etc.

What will happen if I plug it in and turn it on? (put in market would help me open the door to DVD, you will understand why I don't want to do this if you read the previous parethesis).

HM, I got so bad (read instructions and by unscrewing the two days now) simply because Lenovo has apparently not their own product quality control.

Too bad, that it is now resolved. In fact, the problem was: the vid of the instruction on the site I mentioned above forgot to mention that we should first remove the optical drive.

    Hello

I bought the printer HP Deskjet 1512 today. I established in accordance with the instruction manual and also installed the data CD. However, when I go to print, I get a message the next door. This obiovusly keeps me to print, I also tried to copy that does not work! I tried closing and open all the doors and the withdrawal / re - insert the ink, but nothing don't seem to do the trick.

Please help because it's a big inconvience to me now, and there is very little useful help currently avalbile.

    Thank you

    Hi @nick96,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are having problems with your new printer HP Deskjet 1512. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem.

The HP Deskjet 1512, has two doors at the front. the inner door is the door of access to transport and other is the output tray.

If you can see the inside of the printer where the cartridges are the transport access door is open and must be closed.

    Please see the beflow images.

  • 'Open doors' error on HP OfficeJet 6600

    Hello

I have a printer HP OfficeJet 6600. After I changed the 932XL with a new black print cartridge (original), I get an error: door open, with the message: "the door or lid should be closed to print. Make sure it is completely closed. »

I checked the front and rear, door as well as the top cover (copy/scan), and all of them are CLOSED

Any help? Any clue? Any idea?

    Thank you

    CAT

Yes. I solve the problem, but in a way no, proffesional.

I discovered that, when changing the black cartridge, a small pin located in the upper right of the front door, was broken (reliability?, quality?).

Then I discovered that the PIN around which the Panel is rotating... is not only a PIN (hinge), but, if it is pushed in (horizontal movement) can act as a sensor push-pull. I stuck the "pin" with a small piece of paper o, I closed the door (with the broken ankle and... it works.)

Hope that my non-professional explanation has been authorized.

    Kind regards

    Catalin

  • Error opening door or lid

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8600.

I had to replace a cyan color cartridge. After I did, an error message came "the door or lid must be closed for print."

The door is not open. I have downloaded and run the HP hardware Diagnostics and it comes up with the door closed and put the cartridges in. I did at the time - several times.

Still the error.  This is NUTS!

It was a good printer until this absurd error.

I saw a large NUMBER of similar complaints with the HP printers with no real solution?

    Help, please.

    MY PRINTER WORKS!

After many attempts to solve the problem by changing the cartridges, I leave it power up and let remain inactive.   After 5 minutes or so, she erased the fault and worked well.  I'm not using it for a company so it would not be an option for many.

THEN I tried another method.  While the printer "warms up", I clicked 'Print' on one of my documents.  Printing began as soon as he finished warming up.  Now when I turn on the printer, it lights correctly.

HOPE THIS PROCEDURE WORKS FOR YOU ALL.

  • Photosmart C4480 - error opening door

My printer is not working due to error 'door open '. I tried to restart the printer, change the cartridges; I tried to restart the spooler to print via the control panel (such as suggested for a different model). I can't find other solutions to try. Is there a sensor somewhere on the printer that may need repair. If Yes, whether the sensor is located? Is there anything else you can think of that might work?

Thank you for any given advice.

    Hello

The "door open" message only when the door is open or if something is wrong with the sensor and the sensor flag.

The door sensor is visible when the door is opened - located on the left side of the opening, about an inch under a silver screw head. (rather difficult to describe where it is.) The sensor is a horizontal black bar. If you see it, try to press on it inside with something thin like a paper clip. Press the sensor on a 1/2 ". If the message 'door open' goes away, then you know that your sensor is good. Then, look to see where the flag of the probe is located at the back of the door. Again, it is on the left side to the top of the door. The flag is simply a part of the plastic which comes out far enough to engage the sensor. Let me know what you observe.

  • Why do I hear sounds like opening door ding don?

Periodically, I hear the sounds coming from my PC. As a grinding opening and closing door or some sort of ding dong sound > I don't know what it is or what it means? Can someone tell me please.

Go to control panel, sounds, and then click the sounds tab in the dialog box that opens.

Play sounds in the events section of the program by selecting each element in turn and clicking Test.

From your description, I think you might mean sounds that are, by default, configured for the device connect & disconnect events so you can scroll through these to test them first.

This procedure is a bit tedious, but you will get the answer.

All you have to do is find out why the event happening.  Just for example, I have a USB connector that must be a bit of a loose fit for the USB port on the external drive, so I can't hear a ding dong if I move the laptop when plugged into the USB socket & and then moments later when it sorts itself out again.
