    Hello Bearcat78.

    I advise that you think... a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. But it's not too difficult.

    Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    First, save your profile by saving a copy of the profile file... See: profiles of boards - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

    Hello Arturomaduro,

    By "stack" I assume you mean that the CD/DVD is 'stuck' in the player and you cannot get the drive to open it? The most important thing right now is to get the DVD from the drive. You have two options.

    1 / restart your PC and press the eject button on the CD/DVD drive to see if the drive open and release the CD/DVD. Normally, this should do the trick.

    2 / if my first option does not release the disc caddy, you will need a large paperclip and bend straight. Take a look at the front of your DVD drive and you should see a small hole. This is usually placed near the eject button. Make sure that your PC is off and you have removed the plug from the socket. Now insert the straigtened paper clip into the hole and the 'push' the draw caddy should now begin to open (or open completely). If it opens only paritally, then gently pull the draw caddy until it opens completely and then remove the CD/DVD. After removing the CD/DVD push the caddy draw lots to close. Be sure to gently push to clear the draw caddy.

    Maybe it's just a unique and the player will operate normally afterwards. If she keeps refusing to eject a CD/DVD, there may be something wrong with the CD/DVD unit itself.

  • "Hide / show" regions – how to keep open after send the page

    Hello

    I have several regions ' hide / show ' in my request... when the user submits the page, it closes all the

    is there a way to keep one open that were opened before the page is sent?

    Thanks in advance

    Long answer: forget the hidden item and simply store the values in a cookie.  Use dynamic action, 1 2 plan to store the values when the page is submitted and the 2nd DA to retrieve the value and developing regions.

    Hide and Show parts APEX sticky

    Dynamic action 1

    Name: Save the open areas

    Event: before the Page is sent

    Condition: - no requirement.

    Real Action:

    Action: Run the JavaScript Code

    Fire on Page load: [disabled]

    Code:

    var lOpenRegions = []
    $(".hide:visible").parent(".hide-show-region").each(function()
      { lOpenRegions.push($(this).attr("id")) });
    SetCookie("HideShowOpenRegions",lOpenRegions.join(","));

    Dynamic action 2

    Nom : Open saved regions

    Event: Loading the page

    Condition: - unconditionally.

    Real Action:

    Action: Run the JavaScript Code

    Fire on Page load: [disabled]

    Code:

    if (GetCookie("HideShowOpenRegions")) {
      $.each( GetCookie("HideShowOpenRegions").split(','),
                function(intIndex, objValue) {
                  $("#"+$nvl(objValue,"x")+" .hide:first").show();

    I use Sothink Movie DVD maker to burn movies that I downloaded from various sites, mainly from Youtube Christian sites.  When I burn dvd Windows media Player 11 does not open and I have to download whole using the Microsoft Fix it Center.  I do not understand what is the problem?

    • You receive an error message?

    To resolve this problem, reregister the Jscript.dll and Vbscript.dll files. To do this, follow these steps:

This includes the section of the left hand that lists the different folders like inbox, Sent, Trash, etc.

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

      click Help

      then select restart with disabled modules.

    • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • After that I opened my home page when I try to go to another page it opens twice. I use the last FF on an older windows xp operating system.

    my computer is running slow and after that I click on the search button to go to another site, it opens twice and takes a long time for one of the two pages to load. After that I actually enter a site when I click on a tab it charges once and it seems a little slow, however. I use the latest version of Firefox on a pc with windows xp as the operating system. Also, I installed IE, but I didn't do it in my default browser. I also use AVG security software if it has something to do with the fix. Any help is GREATLY appreciated

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

  • Permanetely avoid pop bing upward at the bottom of the page, not just close every time that the page is re-open.

    I hate this F * KIN bing pop up at the bottom of the MSN.com page and you want to permanently delete it, not just 'close' every time that the page is re-open. I have Windows 7 and would like to know how to do it. I'm not familiar with how to change the script or procedure to do. I Ad Block more and do not know what line of 'block' in filters. Help!

    I use Firefox 21.0 and like MSN.com (except the cursed bing pop up) as home page.

    The site requires cookies to store your preferences. If you accept cookies from msn.com, then the search bar disappears for good after clicking on the link close [x] .

  • jQuery Mobile - Popup doesn't open after F5, but not on the first page load

    Greetings guys,

    Unfortunately, there is very little documentation on how to combine the APEX 4.2 with jquery mobile components, so I hope that some geniuses here can help me.

    On a single page with a bunch of hole components, there is also a popup div
    <div id="myPopup" data-role="popup">
       <!-- close button, safe button, input field and short list... -->
    </div>
    He gets open with js:
      $( "#myPopup" ).popup( "open" );
    This all works well, not to mention that the face that it works as after you refresh the page!
    The page loads via js:
        $.mobile.changePage('f?p='+ $v('pFlowId') +':20:' + $v('pInstance')
                           , { transition:"slide", reloadPage:true });
    ... who also works very well so far. Same problem, I had before when I was using a dialog instead of the pop-up box. -only show after refreshing the page.

    This must surely have something to do with how JQM loads and makes the page (outside the APEX-job) - a simple enough question. I also tried different ways of calling the page, without any difference to this problem. Unfortunately I'm quite new to work with JQM, so maybe someone here can help me.

    Thank you very much in advance,
    Best regards
    Tobi

    When you think the loading multiple pages is the issue that you can fix that by using the variable apex.gPageContext$ .

    In order to get the popup in the use of the last page / current / real: $("#myPopup",_apex.gPageContext$).popup ("open")

    Documentation says (not more and not less then):
    apex.gPageContext$-used to limit the jQuery to the active desktop or Mobile current page jQuery selectors.

    As soon as I opened the Firefox Start Page, all my favorites have been posted on the left side. I accidentally hit something, and now all my favorites have disappeared.

    For your safety, you must do a lot of software updates. You may be holding back for some reason any. Let us know what it is because there may be a fix or workaround now.

    To update to the 19 of Firefox, you can use the "Check for updates" button here:

    Menu help > about Firefox

    To update your Adobe PDF and Shockwave Flash plugins and check for other obsolete plugins, you can use this page:

    I know it's tedious, but don't let slip too long or you might get up to have to rebuild everything (the curse of your lack of backups, and if you do regular backups).
