  Hi all!

  I intend to add an SSD for my HP Pavilion p263nl-15 Notebook PC. I found some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter in the optical drive Bay.   Your plan is perfect. The SSD to will of 7 mm that always come back fine it just will be lower in the caddy. The holes and SATA connections are in the same place as a hard drive of 9.5 mm. You can use a spacer (many SSD include one in the box) but not really necessary.

  Installing SSD for Windows 10 the way you expect is not really "own", that he will again introduce files and programs, in my opinion and certainly drivers. Whatever it is, it works perfectly and activates the old installation has been enabled.

  The hard disk in the optical adapter will not be bootable and will transfer the data a bit slower than a drive in the main compartment, but will still be usable for most cases. • [SOLVED] Optical drive empty missing in Windows Explorer, but not in the folder of the computer or Device Manager. Windows 7 x 64 HP Pavilion dv6-3032tx

  The problem: the optical drive [cd/dvd burner] icon is missing in Windows Explorer when no media inserted in the drive. Even if the optical drive icon in Windows Explorer when a disc is inserted in the drive.
