Oracle 11 lack of Data Source drivers

I just installed Oracle 11 GR 2 (Administrator option) client on a clean Windows Server 2008R2. When I go to "Data Sources (ODBC)", the pilot of Oracle 11 g is not an option. This happened on two servers, but worked on others. I have a server with the option a the pilot as SQORA32. DLL in the BIN of the Oracle Directory. So, how can I add to the drivers on the servers of problem?

Hello

Have you installed the client software Oracle 32-bit or 64-bit?

The "usual suspect" here is that people are looking in the wrong odbc administrator, and you must use the 32-bit administrator to find 32-bit odbc drivers...
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

It will be useful,
Greg

  • Create the data source NoSQL Oracle using Oracle Weblogic 11 g

    Hello

    I'm working on a VINE by which I want to connect NoSQL Oracle database with Oracle Weblogic11g as a new source of data in Oracle Database 11 g of accompaniment.

    So my question is that Oracle Weblogic 11 g support NoSQL Oracle database as a data source OR can I plug NoSQL Oracle database as the source of data with Oracle Weblogic11g?

    Thank you...

    Hello

    By 'data source' I assume you mean a JDBC data source. Is this fair?

    If so, please be aware that NoSQL DB does not support SQL or JDBC, although these features can be added in the future. Currently, to access data in the NoSQL database from your application, you must use the Java APIs in the pilot of the client which is included in the package. Please see the Starter Guide for more information.

    That answer your question?

  • SSRS for lack of outer join with the Oracle data source

    It seems to be a problem with the Oracle driver used in the Reporting SERVICES query designer.

    When you use an Oracle data source, if I create an outer join in the graphic designer, it automatically inserts '{OJ' before the join and '} ' after her.  This is an incorrect syntax for Oracle and refuses to start.  The curly braces and the JO editable in designer text, but if I go back to the graphic designer and immediately to reintegrate them.

    Only, this has started to happen a year or two ago - before that it worked, but with the old (+) syntax.

    Can it not be healed?  It makes things very difficult.

    Then in the Studio of Essbase, I created a data source, which I can list all the tables in the schema ESSTBC in 'Data Source Navigator'. I also managed to create a Minischema by joining the tables SALES, SCENARIO, and MEASURES.

    However, in "Data Source Navigator" when I select "SCENARIO", right click and select "View Sample Data", I am able to pull data from the table. that is the table with all the names of columns grid but no data. No error messages were shown in "Messages to the Console.

    Back to Developer SQL and connect the same DB as ESSTBC, I have no problem do a "SELECT * SCRIPT;" and recover all the data of the table without a problem.

    I proceed creating dimensions elements then a hierarchy of "SCENARIO". But again when I try to get a glimpse of the hierarchy has got an empty tree. Apparently, there's something wrong,

    No matter what mark on what I missed?

    Thank you very much.

    Problem solved. The cause being my stupidity ruin a access DB. I can see examples of data without changing anything in Essbase Studio after you change the DB user rights.

  • How to define JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database 12 c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)

    How to define JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database Release 1 (12.1.0.1) 12 c?

    Here is my setup in the conf\mapViewerConfig.xml:

    < name map_data_source = "mvdemo12".

    jdbc_host = "127.0.0.1".

    jdbc_sid = "orcl12c1".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    jdbc_user = "mvdemo".

    jdbc_password = "7OVl2rJ + hOYxG5T3vKJQb + hW4NPgy9EN.

    jdbc_mode = 'thin '.

    number_of_mappers = '3 '.

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = 'true '.

    Editable = "true" / >

    <!--  ****  -->

    But it does not work.

    After use "sqlplus mvdemo / [email protected]:1522 / pdborcl", it connected to the Oracle 12 c database.

    Anyone know it?

    Thank you

    11.1.1.7.1 use the jdbc_sid syntax, i.e.

    as described in the README file, mypdb1.foo.com

    -Sources of native data (no container) MapViewer can now use the service name of database instead of SID. To provide a db service name, you will use the same attribute of jdbc_sid, but specify the name of the service with double slashes in front, as follows:

    jdbc_host = "foo.com"

    jdbc_sid="//mypdb1.foo.com".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    ... ...

    />

    Use a container_ds to the 11.1.1.7.0.

    that is, instead of using

    jdbc_host = "mydbinstance".

    jdbc_sid = "pdborcl12c".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    jdbc_user = "mytestuser".

    jdbc_password = "m2E7T48U3LfRjKwR0YFETQcjNb4gCMLG8/X0KWjO00Q ="

    jdbc_mode = 'thin '.

    number_of_mappers = "6".

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = "false".

    Editable = "false".

    />

    use

    container_ds = "jdbc/db12c.

    number_of_mappers = "6".

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = "false".

    Editable = "false".

    />

    In my case the Glassfish 3.1.2.2 JDBC connection pool definition has been

    Property

    URL jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbinstance:1522/pdborcl12c.rest_of.service.name

    Uncheck the wrap JDBC objects in advanced Panel, that is, the page properties change JDBC connection advanced pool.

    Add a resource to that newly created JDBC pool

    Use in mapviewerconfig.xml as above

  • Find the Oracle data source...

    I inherited a ColdFusion 10 app with a backend Oracle 11g; Windows Server.    I am especially a DBA and not an expert in ColdFusion.  In the application code, they have the hardcoded data source.  In other words, when I move to Test I have to change the source data, load the modules and test.   After a successful test, I need to change the data source, once again, to download and the promoted to production.   I seem to remember in the old application, I used to support, the code was generic and the data source depends on what server you were lit; If the development, testing or production, you don't have to worry.  I don't remember how it was done.   What would be the best way to eliminate this hard coding and make it more automated?   I know I'm probably missing something, but you were all very helpful to me in the last few weeks, so I hope that he is not a stupid question.   Thank you.

    I do not have Admin CF

    You can specify that?  Do you mean that you do not have access to the CF Admin?

    Not having access to the CF Admin, I'm not sure you can do something differently as you are now., unless you're writing a logic to examine the server host name or the domain name of the site and set the source of data accordingly.

    If you can access the CF Admin, create two data sources: one for production and one for testing.  Then in application.cfc, you can write logic to examine the server host name or the domain name and indicate 'this.datasource' to whatever datasource is appropriate.

  • IOM 9.1.0.2 - Multi Weblogic JDBC for Oracle RAC Data Sources

    IOM-IOM 9.1.0.2 BP07 supports Weblogic JDBC Multi Data Sources (Services > JDBC > Multi Data Sources) for Oracle RAC instead of insert the "Oracle RAC JDBC URL" on xlDS and xlXADS JDBC Data Sources (Services > JDBC > Data Sources > xlDS | xlXADS > survey login > URL)?
    If so, are there any other changes that must be made on IOM, or simply to change data sources?

    Yes, it is supported. You install against a single instance directly of the Rac server. Then you update the file config.xml and jdbc resources in your server weblogic with the full address of rac. It is documented for installation against CARS. http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E14049_01/doc.9101/e14047/database.htm#insertedID2

  • Delete triggers in DAC to the Oracle apps data source

    Hey guys,.

    We use OLIVIER 7.9.6.1 and OBIEE 10.1.3.4.0. data source is Oracle apps 11.5.9.

    We had a problem in the report. drillthrough report 6 records where as source has only 4 records. Looks like 2 deleted source records and we have never implemented here delete triggers. I'm new to this project and don't know how to implement for the Oracle apps data source delete triggers. because there is no concept of picture table in oracle apps.

    I tried a full load of the fact table, and it is fetching 4 records as expected. so please tell me how to apply delete triggers for the oracle apps data source. explain the process step by step.

    Thank you for your help.

    Thank you
    Jay.

    You can follow the same EP and remove the mapping process that are out of the box for your custom tables. Make sure you include a DELETE_FLG on the custom tables and follows the same logic of PE and Delete is used in vanilla maps. You must have a primary key to check the records of if.which have been removed. Once you have the full mappings, you can set the DAC to assocaiated tasks and include them with your execution plans. As Oracle has followed this process, its best to stay w the same strategy.

  • How to import from an Oracle data source using the Administration tool?

    Trying to create a repository using the tool of Administration and elected to import using the "SPOUT 10 g / 11 g.
    However, after you have entered the name of Data Source, the user name and password, I still get error "the connection failed".

    According to the help, the data source name must be the full connection string. I guess that means in the format < host >: < port >: < service >. Also, I guess the username and password are the DB schema.

    Any ideas why I can't connect?

    I tried the tnsnames.ora road, but it still doesn't work. I created a file tnsnames.ora in \Oracle_BI1\network\admin. Is this correct?

    Yes

    Try to ping your tnsnames command prompt

    tnsping service_name

    I'm assuming that I don't need an installation of the Oracle client on the same PC I have (Windows) Oracle BI 11g installed on. Is this correct?

    on which box you are trying to import tables? Client Oracle installed box or not? .If not you put tns entries in your Inbox

  • Problem of driver ODBC Oracle when trying to create a data source / Win XP

    Hi guys,.

    hope I'm here with my question.

    When I try to create or data source in Windows (regardless if user or system data source), and then click 'Test connection', I get this error:
    * [SQLAllocHandle from Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] drive on SQL_Handle_ENV failed *.

    TNS name is correct, tnsname.ora is correct, the user is correct.

    I have the driver for an OraClient10g is installed on my machine.

    I'll reinstall this package? Other things to do to fix this?

    Many thanks for any help,

  • [Microsoft] [ODBC driver manager] Data Source name not found and no driver by default specified

    Hi team,

    I am trying to connect to the Oracle 9i database using VB code below:

    strConnection = "Driver = {Microsoft ODBC for Oracle};" Server = SERVERNAME; UID = username; Pwd = PASSWORD"
    Connect = New ADODB. Connection
    Connect.Open (strConnection)

    The last line throws me below error:

    [Microsoft] [ODBC driver manager] Data Source name not found and no driver by default specified

    The VB code works well and able to connect to database server dev dev. The same script with the name of the UAT server does not work on server UAT.

    The servers are Windows server 2007-32 bit.

    When I checked the tab drivers in ODBC Data Source Administrator, dev server entry below:

    Microsoft ODBC for Oracle - 6.00.6001.18000 - Microsoft Corporation - MSORCL32.dll - Date

    Considering that the UAT server has entered below:

    Microsoft ODBC for Oracle-

    The Microsoft ODBC driver for oracle is listed in the tab UAT Server drivers, but did not have details of file version & dll. This driver is not installed correctly? If so, how the re install? Please help solve this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot create the EIS data source

    When you try to create a new DSN in the ODBC Administrator get the error:
    Error "routines of installation for the ODBC driver cannot be loaded due to system 193 error code".

    can someone tell me how to handle this error

    the installation creates problems during a previous installation

    look for 5.2 drivers are available in \HyperionHome\Common\ODBC-64\Merant\5.2\Drivers.
    Run... / HyperionAnalytics/bin/RegUpdateODBC51.bat. > Open regedit>>/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/ODBC/ODBCINST.ini/Merant OEM 5.1 64-bit. > backup key. > export key. > edit the export file.
    If you have 5.1 replace 5.1 5.2 in all cases
    Replace the 21 22 for all DLLs
    Make sure driver = the way of the driver in step 1
    (8) save the key file.
    9) double-click a key file to update the registry.
    (10) in ODBC Data Source Administrator, you should now see the 5.2 drivers under drivers Tag.
    (11) add the ODBC connection.

    Once installed, go to the registry under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/WOW6432Node
    Select the driver of Merant 32 bit that you plan to use, for example
    MERANT 5.2 OEM 32-BIT Oracle Wire Protocol
    and verify that the following entries have been added.

    If they are not there then add them manually:
    'Driver"="C:\\Hyperion\\Common\\ODBC\\Merant\\5.2\\Drivers\\arora22.dll '.
    'HelpRootDirectory"="C:\\Hyperion\\Common\\ODBC\\Merant\\5.2\\help '.
    'Setup"="C:\\Hyperion\\Common\\ODBC\\Merant\\5.2\\Drivers\\arora22.dll '.

    The path must point to your location of HYPERION_HOME.

    Once open the 32-bit ODBC Administrator of:
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

    Add a new system DSN using the correct driver and connect to the Console of IST use this DSN.

    If you are using Oracle, you MUST use the Oracle Wire Protocol driver and NOT the driver Oracle standard Merant.

    If you use the standard driver, this message may appear when you try to connect from the Console of the EIS:
    2003000 error: Specified error ODBC driver could not be loaded because of the error system 193 (5.2 Oracle 32-bit OEM Merant)
