Oracle abandons JRockit?

In the JRockit download page, I noticed that he was moved to the section archives

Family JRockit download page

Does this mean that oracle JRockit abandon?

There is no more public releases JRockit, R28.2.7 is the last (accessible from the page of archive) public. Access to later versions is subject to support contract.

(It wouldn't hurt if the JRockit download page mentioned this, I think)

Here is a patch, pending an official Oracle one:

    http://Hirt.se/downloads/Oracle/com.JRockit.MC.rjmx_5.2.0.157284p1.zip

    To install:

    1. Go to your jdk1.7.0_40_b40\lib\missioncontrol\plugins.
    2. Back up your com.jrockit.mc.rjmx_5.2.0.157284 folder by moving a safe place (out of the plugins folder).
    3. Unzip the com.jrockit.mc.rjmx_5.2.0.157284p1.zip file, and then move the replacement com.jrockit.mc.rjmx_5.2.0.157284 file in the jdk1.7.0_40_b40\lib\missioncontrol\plugins folder.
    4. Restart your JMC.

Please let me know if this solves your problem. In addition, it would be great if you could start JMC with logging turned on and let me know to those who incriminated the attributes of MBeans (they should now be connected). For more information on starting the JMC with recording of debugging, see this blog.

  • Problem with managed server by pointing to a different JDK

    Hello

My Adminserver is pointed to JDK 1.7 which is shown in the start, but my managed servers point to a different 1.6_43. We are running Java version mismatch problem while deploying our application created with jdk 1.7 on these managed servers. How can I change the version of my managed server?

    Thank you

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

You usually only have to change it in two places.

    DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setDomainEnv.sh and MW_HOME/wlserver_12.1/common/bin/commEnv.sh

    See the examples below.

If you are on Linux, you can address it quickly. For example:

    cd /u01/app/oracle/product/fmw
    find . -type f -exec sed -i "s/\/u01\/app\/oracle\/product\/jdk1.6.0_39/\/u01\/app\/oracle\/product\/java_current/g" {} \;

It's a good idea to do a softlink to your installation of Java, so you will not have this problem in the future. If you are on Windows, you can use a symlink.

    Linux example:

    ln -s /u01/app/oracle/product/jdk1.7.0_25 /u01/app/oracle/product/java_current

    Example of Windows:

    mklink /d D:\oracle\product\java_current D:\oracle\product\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_26-R28.1.4-4.0.1

    setDomainEnv.sh

    /u01/app/oracle/domains/eksudv/bin/setDomainEnv.sh

    if [ "${JAVA_VENDOR}" = "Oracle" ] ; then
            JAVA_HOME="${BEA_JAVA_HOME}"
            export JAVA_HOME
    else
            if [ "${JAVA_VENDOR}" = "Sun" ] ; then
                    JAVA_HOME="${SUN_JAVA_HOME}"
                    export JAVA_HOME
            else
                    JAVA_VENDOR="Sun"
                    export JAVA_VENDOR
                    JAVA_HOME="/u01/app/oracle/product/java_current"
                    export JAVA_HOME

  • Change the JDK path

    Hello

I would like to change the JDK my WLS uses another version that I installed.

It now points to the value default JDK in my server, I'm not comfortable with.

Can I know where can I put it so that it points to the other version without affecting the use my server?

Please let me know if I'm not clear, thank you.

    P.S WLS 9.2

    Hello

You must find the current JDK in your installation of software and your field and replace the path with the path to your new JDK.

    Under Linux, you can do:

    grep -R jrockit90_150_06 /pathToMySoftwareDir/

If you are using Linux/Unix, then it is easy to replace it through sed. Here are some examples:

    sed -i 's/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/wls92\/jrockit90_150_06/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/jrockit-jdk1.5.0_24-R28.1.0-4.0.1/g' /data/app/bea/product/wls92/utils/bsu/bsu.sh
    sed -i 's/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/wls92\/jrockit90_150_06/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/jrockit-jdk1.5.0_24-R28.1.0-4.0.1/g' /data/app/bea/domains/mydomain/bin/setDomainEnv.sh

Moreover, we have started using softlink/symbolic links as an alias for the installation of Java. Then you most recent must do again the above operation. Here are the commands for Linux and Windows:

    ln -s /data/app/bea/product/jrockit-jdk1.5.0_28-R28.1.3-4.0.1 /data/app/bea/product/java_current

    mklink /d D:\oracle\product\java_current D:\oracle\product\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_24-R28.1.3-4.0.1

  • Question on the impact of Garbage collection

I get messages in the log as below...
    2009-09-09 14:33:21.677/691.607 Oracle coherence EE 3.5/459 < D5 > (thread = PacketPublisher, Member = 4): experienced a delay of communication ms 538 (GC distance likely) with Member (Id = 7, Timestamp is 14:24:51.312 2009-09-09, address = 10.0.0.205:8094, MachineId = 2765, location = site: server07, process: 10125, role = ServerContainer); 22 packages reprogrammed, PauseRate = 0.0010, threshold = 1976

In the case above Member 4 is an active storage node and Member 7 is not.
Basically, it runs a distributed cache, in a client/server operation.

I understand that this basically means consistency server is waiting to communicate to the customer and cannot due to the garbage collection operation.

This is perfect, we expect in this scenario, the client JVM to have breaks from garbage collection, we cross GC optimization at the moment.

To get to the question later :) Does this mean that this node is unable to communicate to other nodes of customer for 538ms? And so the customer break GC affects consistency server node and therefore all client nodes?
I expect the cache to always respond to requests to take, but if there is only one responsible for thread of the publication of the packages to clients (as indicated by the name of the thread) so I can't imagine it would be blocked.

I don't see anything specific in the forums about this. I found the following
"Although it is quite possible to see the log messages indicating that a cache server" has experienced behind communication ", these messages are generated by the TCMP layer and have no impact on the responsiveness of cache to requests for other customers service." ""
But wasn't 100% sure that it meant no effect, or no impact on making queries.

    Thank you
    Steve

This means that this node will be suspended during this period.

Of course other nodes will be able to continue, but if you do something that affects this node he asks should wait (for example, the aggregation on all nodes).

However, if you have found (for example) an object of key to another node that will be just fine.

There are many solutions to these problems, but all can take a huge amount of time.

    (1) by using CG (parallel) differential ParNew
    (2) using the experimental (parallel) GC G1 in JDK6_14 but ready to use in JDK7. I read an article on Chicago Board of Options Exchange using it wisely.
    (3) to aid in time real Sun JVM
    (4) to aid Oracle's JRockit

    Best, Andrew.

  • Problems with java weblogic. WLST - HELP!

    Hi all,

I am failry new to the Weblogic Server and tried to fill with the obe as part of my training. I came across a problem that you may be able to help me with. In OBE - 4 Administration servers managed by using the Node Manager - in the part where 'Configuration' using WLST tool coming up on a problem

I am following the instructions to the letter, i.e. Add the Jrockit on my road and set the setWLSEnv.sh. Something I noticed in the Setup is the Jrockit House seems to be different in the example. In the example, the Jrockit House is/u01/app/oracle/product/Jrockit/bin. Presumably it's the original of Jrockit installation like the Jrockit House in my case is/u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware/jrockit_160_05/bin. Is this correct?

Thus, when you try to call 'java weblogic. WLST' I get the error message "Exception in thread"Main Thread"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/WLST.

  • Oracle JRockit R28.2.2. OutOfMemoryError: classblock award

    Hi people,

Well, we have a production Weblogic on Oracle JRockit Virtual Machine environment. The problem is that we are trying to avoid an 'exception' OutOfMemoryError is thrown every day by a SOA managed server, which causes a failure and stop the managed server that must then be restarted, causing interruptions of service applications.

    Platform:
64 bit of Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. 32 GB OF RAM

    Products:
    Oracle JRockit R28.2.2
    Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.2
Oracle SOA and BPM Suite 11 g R1 11.1.1.5 offers Pack
    Oracle 11g 11.1.1.5 bus services

The error message is the following:

means: classblock award, 110787528 load, 84224K footprint, in check_alloc (src/jvm/model/classload/classalloc.c:215).

    Attempt to allocate 7G bytes

It is not enough native memory for the Java
    Execution environment to continue.

    Possible reasons:
The system is out of physical space RAM or swap
In 32-bit mode, the process size limit has been hit

    Possible solutions:
Reduce the memory load on the system
Increase the physical space of memory or swap
Check if the swap backing store is full
Use Java 64-bit on a 64 bit OS
Decrease the Java heap size (-Xmx /-Xms)
Reduce the number of Java threads
Decrease for the Java thread stack size (-Xss)
Disable the compressed references (-XXcompressedRefs = false)

Here are the conclusions that I made on this problem:

-It is clearly indicated in the error message that is not a matter of size of the Java heap since this kind of errors usually look like: (Java Heap Space, getNewTLA, etc...) and the message makes clear: "memory is insufficient native to Java runtime environment continue. In addition, the MissionControl records show that the heap is constantly collected garbage and there is no memory leaks.
-The size of the process is about 10 GB (7 GB Heap Size and 4 GB) memory native platform consists of a 64-bit Windows Server 2008 with 32GB, so it is neither a "process size limit question."
-According to this, it would be clear that the problem is that "the system is out of space RAM or physical swap", but this is not true either, because the system has a paging file max 48 GB (this is actually useful) and above all, the system has 16 GB of RAM used by all processes leaving the 16 GB of free memory for use.
I came to think that either JRockit is default and throw the exception without good reason, or the message displayed is wrong and is not let me find the right the cause of the issue we face.

Any kind of advice is appreciated.

    Hi Alain,

As Mike mentioned earlier, try to increase

    -XX: MaxClassBlockMemory 75 m.

    Use the following option.

    -XX: + UnlockDiagnosticVMOptions - XX: MaxClassBlockMemory = 75M

    Kind regards
    Kal

  • Oracle JRockit 3.1.2 and weblogic real time?

http://www.Oracle.com/technology/software/products/JRockit/index.html ". I go to the site and find a software called: Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 for windows 64-bit. My question is: in order to let weblogic 9.2 works in windows 2003 R2 64-bit computer, DEVRAIS I MUST DOWNLOAD "Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 for windows 64-bit? Or I need to download anything? In fact, I just downloaded a file called jdk-6u18-windows - x 64 .exe. Please delete my question, thanks! One last thing, what is the feature in real-time for Oracle JRockit 3.1.2? Is it a kind of JRE?

If you are looking for better performance with WebLogic then it may be worth going with the JVM JRocket.

All attempts to download Oracle 12 c for File1 Windows starts download fine then stops after about 30 minutes and keeps a file of download-fail - 1505220.html who says,

" Sorry! In order to download products from Oracle Technology Network, you must accept the OTN license terms. Make sure that... Your browser has 'cookies' and JavaScript active. You have clicked on "Accept license" for the product you want to download. You try the download within 30 minutes of the acceptance of the license. From here, you can go... Return to the previous Page Site map OTN Homepage".

When I try this, I am connected to OTN, anything goes, I accept the license agreement and immediately start the download.  I try the download using the browser FireFox 22.0 with the download utility of extension DownThemAll 2.0.16 via mobile broadband Verizon Wireless 7.2.1.2.  This combination has worked quickly and allowed the resumption of downloads interrupted many other things.  My operating system is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  I currently have Oracle 11 g installed and I downloaded the same way, a long time ago.

I use wget to download large files to Oracle. A download of the browser is too crumbly, cannot restart, etc.

Not sure if wget (or similar) is available for Windows. But if this is the case, it is my recommendation.

To get the download URL of Oracle (which includes an authentication token, your OTN account-based), I use Firefox and select Tools | Console Web site.

That tells me the URLS that are passed between the browser and the server. Exit (last few lines) is as follows (after clicking on accept the license and download link OTN file):

  • Tracking Oracle 11 GR 2 XE with OEM 13 c

Someone there was some luck followed Oracle 11 g XE (Linux x 86-64, 11.2.0.2.0) database with Oracle Enterprise Manager 13 c?

I EM12cR4 (12.1.0.4) and EM13c both running on separate servers.  Each managed host has both a 12 c and 13 c agent running.  One of my servers (SLES 11 64-bit SP3) I have an installation of Oracle 11 g XE operational.  My EM12c installation can monitor this Oracle XE database without any problem.  My EM13c installation errors of assessment metric from the addition of the Oracle XE target database.  The two agents run under the same user account ("oraagent"). The two agents use the same user database DBSNMP account. The "Test connection" button on the setup of the target EM13c-> Configuration of the analysis screen returns a successful login. Many EM13c screens seem to work correctly for this purpose of database - I can use each screen that I tested it under the menus of Administration, schema, security, availability and Performance, but EM13c cannot go beyond these metric assessment errors and identify the target State.

The metric errors that EM13c meeting appear in the incidents as Manager screen:

'Start-time error metric assessment - target {oracle_database. '. "SID.domain.com} is broken: dynamic category, dynamic property Get property error error, not this type of metadata - no valid queryDescriptor or executionDescriptor found for target [oracle_database.SID.domain.com$ 30]."

and for the target database system:

"Beginning of metric assessment error - received an exception when evaluating sev_eval_proc for: name of the target = SID.domain.com_sys, metric_name = response, metric_column = status; Error Msg = target encountered metric erros. at least one member in metric error"

I can live without seeing a status of target on this database, but right now the fact that I can't schedule tasks to safeguard against this database of the XE is the only thing preventing me from moving my monitoring entirely on EM13c of production and closing down my EM12c system.  Work performed against this goal immediately get hung with "Suspended: target is not ready."

I enabled debugging at the agent level and the path of the log files during the attempt to add the target.  After that, there are three dynamic properties agent cannot calculate for this target:

    2016-01-15 12:10:05, DEBUG 905 [1806:4CE3192] - calculation of dynamic property: [ComputeVC] is (1 msec, error = true)

2016-01-15 12:10:06, 452 [1806:F917F5F8] DEBUG - calculation of dynamic property: [GetDumpDestination] is made (0 msec, error = true)

    2016-01-15 12:10:06, 508 [1813:6EEEAC87] DEBUG - calculation of dynamic property: [DeduceAlertLogFile] is (1 msec, error = true)

Other dynamic properties are calculated correctly:

2016-01-15 12:35:38, 038 INFO - calculation of dynamic properties finished (total time 817 ms). Calculated DP number: 19. Number of DP with the error: 3 number of dynamic properties that have been added: 132.

Dynamic property ComputeVC (which seems to determine the category of the database version) seems to be impossible to analyze the Oracle 11 g XE version string:

    2016-01-15 12:11:18, 779 [1830:CD3A325D] DEBUG - error has been added to oracle_database.SID.domain.com$ 23(0|) MONITORED | false | true | < UF >): invalid entry

    at oracle.sysman.gcagent.target.interaction.execution.FetchletFactory.getMetric(FetchletFactory.java:431)

The other two, for the lack of dynamic properties appear to be failing as a side effect of losing the database connection after the failure of the calculation of property ComputeVC.

Other information in the newspapers, it seems that EM13c could be trying to access the BUNDLE_SERIES column in dba_registry_history (which does not exist in the XE) and maybe not because of that.

Someone 11 GR 2 XE added as a fully functional goal in their EM13c environment?

    Thank you

    -Brian

Sorry, please disregard.  I solved this on my own.  The missing column of BUNDLE_SERIES in DBA_REGISTRY_HISTORY on XE has been the source of my inability to monitor XE of EM13c.

As the UserControl (DBSNMP, in my case), I created an empty DBA_REGISTRY_HISTORY table, including a column BUNDLE_SERIES in the scheme of surveillance of the user.

    SQL > create table dba_registry_history (ACTION_TIME TIMESTAMP (6), ACTION VARCHAR2 (30), space name VARCHAR2 (30), VERSION VARCHAR2 (30), identification NUMBER, BUNDLE_SERIES VARCHAR2 (30), VARCHAR2 (255)) COMMENTS;

I then forced recalculation of dynamic properties for the target through the agent of EM13c:

$ emctl recharge dynamicproperties SID.domain.com:oracle_database agent

Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 13 c Release 1

Copyright (c) 1996, 2015 Oracle Corporation.  All rights reserved.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    EMD recalculate dynprops completed successfully

Once this command is successfully completed my goal of Oracle XE database appears with the 'high' good state and I can submit jobs to run against her.  I can't recommend anyone following the steps I did, instead I have suggest you wait for a fix of the OEM team, but I had an urgent need to move away from my EM12c installation due to the fault of hardware.

  • Poor Oracle Performance consistency running concurrent queries

We have 600 million records in the cache must be retrieved on queries (filter or Multi Extractor, we tried both), but we are faced with poor performance when we increase concurrency, we use 5 son of job by node Manager representing a total of 300 sons, we are not able to get a rate higher than 400 records/s (that is, each node consistency to recover 6 records/s) It would take too long (nearly 20 days) to 600 M of process records. This means that consistent performance are poor until the database.

    The improvements that we tried:

We have created the index (index simple and compound), implemented from POF, tunned shuts down the JVM to reduce the GC, configured network communication (doesn't any sense cause we run everything on the same machine, but we tried), increased coherence nets, implemented best practices and after all, we tried to run on Exalogic , and after all, we had the same problem.

The material on our tests, we used:

    -Dell R910 with 1 TB of Ram and 80 processors;

    -Oracle Exalogic X 3.

Each node consistency is using 16 GB of Ram, and we use a distributed Cache.

Before dropping out of coherence I would like to know if there is something more, we can try.

We opened the SR and after many tests, that we abandoned consistency, we changed the technology, and now the Solution works well. We understood that the consistency is just for the cache and not for intensive query.

  • IOM works on jrockit - jdk1.6.0_45 - R28.2.7 - 4.1.0 - ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap

    Hello

    We have IOM works on jrockit - jdk1.6.0_45 - R28.2.7 - 4.1.0

when trying to connect to http://Server:14000 / identity -it works well

When you try to connect tos-http: //server:14001/identity

with the latest version of Firefox

    We get error

"no common encryption algorithm. "Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap.

This means that we must again JDK? kind of 1.7 or 1.8?

Firefox and other browsers are now apply the strictest encryption which means TLS1.1 +.

There are solutions to allow browsers to use the old protocols less secure, but workaround solutions will be only temporary, as the next versions browsers is likely to have these disabled compatibility modes.

Unfortunately, jrockit is abandoned, so it will be not updated for more secure implementations of TLS.

Finally, you must update the IOM to make JDK supported TLS1.1 and TLS1.2, then you will want to get that rather sooner than later.

Default JDK 1.8 is TLS1.2, but its not yet supported for IOM, the best you can do right now is upgrading to JDK 1.7 which is supported and who can do TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2
