  Once you have access to My Oracle Support (MOS) you can search this is the knowledge base, download patches and other versions of the software is not available publicly, or lift SRs to get help from Oracle.

  We will install oracle client. We use oracle net services to configure essbase with the help of oracle, which is installed in the other database server. That is why we are installing oracle client.

  Now my question is during the installation exactly customized including all the checkboxes should I check. There are a lot of items displayed in the installation window. I want to know what should I check to install only oracle net services.

  Help, please.

  Go to the Administration of Oracle Client installation. Then copy the TNS server entry and paste it to the customer.

  I want to install Essbase 11.1.2.2 customer. E delivery site do I download only "EPM System Release 11.1.2.2.0 Client installers for Microsoft Windows V31866-01" or any file must also be?

  The essbase client is available in the client installation package or you can download a newer version of the fix for the Support of Oracle.
  The essbase client is a stand-alone Installer (.exe), it does not include the excel add-in, add-in excel is in record ExcelAddin in the installation package.

  If you want to install both then run the executable for the customer and essbase excel add-in, they are supported on Windows 7.

  It must be always sure download the drivers directly from the web site of the original manufacturer.  A Samsung E352 can really be a model NP-E352 and usually sold in Europe.  I found this:

• VMware vCenter Update Manager Client installation fails

  I have a system that has been upgraded to ESX 3.5 to vSphere and installed successfully the vSphere Client, can see my hosts and virtual machines without any problem.  I install the plugin VM converter, but when I try to install the plugin Update Manager it fails every time.

  I'm installing on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer (my laptop is also Win7 64 bit and it installed successfully there).  I tried to install the application and get the error message in the Windows application logs:

  Product: VMware vCenter Update Manager Client - Setup cannot continue. VMware vSphere Client is not found to be installed on this computer. VMware vCenter Update Manager Client can be installed only on machines where VMware vSphere Client is present.

  I've already entered my store of % TEMP % and tried to install just the exe file (VMware - UMClient.exe) and who is not, I copied the extracted files, including all the files .ini, .bmp, .msi and .mst to the root of my C drive and tried installing from there.  All this provided the same failure.

  During the installation, I get this message first indicating the location of my vSphere Client installation:

  

  When I click on the only 'real' installation option, then spend a few seconds and then I get this message:

  Click ok and then get a message saying that the installation has failed.

  I managed to do install finally.

  The strange solution was that I had to log on as an administrator of my machine and then install the plugin.  Even if my account is an administrator account.

  Anyway, problem solved, works perfectly and am clean now.

  Is it possible to deploy a Java application using Oracle express as the back-end in an installation?   Hello

  You can install the database using a response file. Depending on the setup of your Java application, you can create a sort of meta-Installer creates a response file for the database and a response/parameter file for your application setup program and then run both in a single step.

• Oracle BI Client installation on Windows only, 64 bit portable

  On the download page for BIEE, I received instruction to install JDK, Web server, Oracle BI 12 c and Oracle BI Developer tool Client.  In my opinion, this is the server installation package.  I want only the Client tool.  Can someone clarify this for me?  I know it's pretty simple, but... I still need an answer.  Thank you.

  This gives you the client tools OBIEE I think you're after.

  A similar section exists under article 11 g if that's what you're after.

  When I tried to install oracle client (Oracle 11 g (11.2.0.1.0)) client installed on Windows server 2012 standard edition got following error.

  "ins-13001 environment does not meet the minimum requirements. 64 bit Windows 2012"

  So, I have two concerns.

  1. any solution to solve this problem?

  2. If I install 12 c Client, will I connect Oracle database 11 g (11.2.0.4.0) using 12 c customer?

  Certainly can (and probably should) use 12 c client.  Oracle certifies customers until two major releases far they connect to databases.  Are all of my db 11.2.0.4, but I've been installing only customers of 12 c for a couple of years now.

  I am facing a problem for ODBC drivers as I installed client Run-time Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit. Client has successfully installed can't seem to connect to the server database using input TNS through Sql in my command prompt, but the problem is that I am not able to create all the drivers ODBC in Control Panel (ODBC Administrator) Am not able to find a driver to configure a data source.

  Using this data source, we need to connect to the database of an application.

  Could you please help me on this.

  Now, we know that you have installed the 11.2 customer.  As I say, the ODBC drivers are NOT installed by default on this version.

  And if you do as I said in my last post:

  a default installation, then go back and do a "custom" installation, by specifying the same ORACLE_HOME as before and by selecting the ODBC components.

• Oracle 12 c only client installation

  Hello

  I want to install Oracle 12 c client Runtime on RHEL 6 Server. I downloaded and ran the installation of the Oracle database software download package, but I have no option to install the right Client. Installation Options screen says 'create and configure a database' or 'Install database software only' or 'upgrade of an existing database.

  Is there another package to download for the facilities of customers? I need the client Runtime, not instant client.

  Is there an option to configure or add police Oracle in BOTH client and server side. Why do we need to configure both client and server policies? Is it enough to set up the strategy in the side server only, so when any client attempts to call the method on the server, it must meet the requirements of the police in the server?

  What do we mean by the addition of police in the client side? I do not understand, that is to say that in the customer side no one can send the request unless the policy requirements is met by the auto sender? Is that what the police has something to do with the side Server?

  Political aside server are executed on the server side when a Web service request is received and before giving it to the service object Web corresponding. Policies client-side are executed on the client side after you create a new application and before submitting it to the server. • EMP 11.1.2.3 System Installer fails to install the Oracle DB, 32-bit and 64-bit Client

  We are trying to do a fresh install of Oracle Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.3 on Windows 2008 Server R2.

  Its a standard deployment with a Foundation Server and an Essbase server.

  When you try to install on the server of the Foundation, the EPM System Installer fails to install Oracle database customers.

  The first Question we have is, we have decided using Microsoft SQL Server for the repository of Shared Services and therefore would like to know if it is safe to ignore this error and move on.

  The second question is, if we need the error pending, we want to know why the installation system fails. Looking at the newspaper, ORACLE_HOME is on something that is not valid or is longer than 128 characters.

  The Diagnostics show the below error message:
