Order of installation of Windows 7 drivers
Hello! I'm hungry install Windows 7 Ultimate on a HP of one of my friends laptop and I was curious to know if there is an order to install specific drivers. I have a Dell laptop and it's really annoying because I read that the drivers must be installed in a specific order.
The order of installation should start by installing the CPU chipset device driver, after installing the chipset CPU I would install the SATA drivers (is it y to install) followed by the USB driver and driver graphic, after that the remaining drivers can usually be installed in any order.
Some of the factory can specify a different order I listed above, this could and most likely based on the design of the motherboard, if its an Intel or AMD processor and which in the feature on a separate chip (is not part of the CPU chipset), for example Audio is usually a separate chip on the motherboard.

Order of Installation of drivers from R3 Alienware 17, Windows 10
I understand that this question has been asked repeatedly by many people, but I know questions and wishes to confirm again the installation order more later to identify if I have a related question of drivers.
Please provide me with the list of drivers in the order of installation based on the names of the drivers on the support page, as it will be easier for me to understand.
Thank you
I have a 17R3 and I used the installation order proposed by Dell support page, with no problems.
HOWEVER, I do not use the graphics drivers from Dell; I used the screen to uninstall the utility driver and installed the drivers directly from Nvidia and Intel and continue to update these sources that Dell was so far behind in the early release of Skylake and Windows 10.
And you go to update your graphics drivers regularly so probably anywhere in the order that update you.
(BTW what direct installation of Nvidia, I do not install all the other stuff (GeForce experience, servers, etc.) that I never use.) Even with the Dell stuff, I don't bother with anything irrational
I also removed the Dell network drivers and use the driver on-line Rivet, had no problem with the networking since that.
It is possible that all of the current drivers of Dell are now very well, but at the end of last year, they were pretty useless.

HP Envy m7-n011dx: HP Envy m7-n011dx, installation of SSD and drivers for windows 10
Hello.
Just got on my mail today a HP ENVY m7-n011dx.
HP ENVY notebook - m7-n011dx
Product: M1W00UAR #ABA
Warranty: 90d90d0d
Model: m7-n011dx
I have an SSD and install Windows 10 company on that front. I can get some drivers from here:
http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-M7-n000-notebook-PC/7771355/model/8381965?SK...
But this forum helped a lot with good advice on how to do, so if you have any recommendations on what I should install first, or the order of installation, please let me know.
Also, is there a quick way to completely disable the mouse pad?
Thank you!Intel Chipset utility must always be the first installed, then all the others in this category. Graphics would be my next choice mainly for aesthetics. Others can be installed in virtually any order.
I'm sorry that I don't know a quick way to disable the touchpad. I have no idea why HP has removed the button off / on for most of their laptops.

It seems that the title of this section has been changed. I got some of the pilots before the site went down, my biggest problem is the good order of their installation.
I already have:
(1) chipset Utility
(2) sound
(3) webcam
(4) WLan
(5) Lan
(6) displayIf I really need something else which must be instaled between those mentioned above, a link to it would be welcome because the site is down and I really want to make it work.

Title changed to the best descriptionHello
Hmm I recommend starting the installation with some essential drivers graphic driver, touchpad drivers LAN/WLan driver and its pilot, etc.
Then you could try to install some Toshiba Utilities
Check it out!

Greetings,
I am trying to install Windows XP Home edition on my old days by Satellite A200-1AX. Today, I tried to boot from the CD of Windows XP Home edition or after the copy of the system files, the laptop produces the error that Setup did not find any hard disk during the Installation of Windows XP. I looked on the internet and found the following page:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows/resolving-Setup-did-not-find-any-hard-disk-drives-during-Windows-XP-installation/
Explains how to resolve this problem. So I try to make my own installation CD of Windows XP Home edition with the necessary drivers. My first question is: what are the minimum required drivers to ensure a smooth installation process until I get the XP running? It is not necessary to install the drivers for all the A200-1AX since the first installation of XP, I can always go back and install those remaining of the XP; but I don't want the installation process interrupted due to a missing driver where I have to repeat the process of manufacturing more install of WXP CD custom. The list of drivers and devices provided by Toshiba is too long to write on a single installation with XP CD.
My second question is: there is an update of the bios/firmware required in accordance with the instruction list. Is it necessary BEFORE or AFTER the installation of Windows XP Home edition?
If I decide to go back to VISTA using the recovery CD, I must restore the bios/firmware?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Best regards, Ashraf.
> My first question is: what are the minimum required drivers to ensure a smooth installation process until I get the XP running
You will need to include only the Intel Matrix Storage Manger for the XP CD again. Without this iMSM XP will not see the HARD drive
This driver is important. Other drivers can be installed after the installation of XP!> My second question is: there is an update of the bios/firmware required in accordance with the instruction list. Is it necessary BEFORE or AFTER the installation of Windows XP Home edition?
There are 2 versions of BIOS; One for Vista and one for XP. Generally, the update of the BIOS must be made before the instillation of OS but you can also try to do after installing XP. In both cases, the update of the BIOS would be possible.
> If I decide to go back to VISTA using the recovery CD, I must restore the bios/firmware?
Generally, Yes! Without the good BIOS features like the FN buttons could not work properly! -
I have a laptop HP Envy M6 and it came with Windows pre-installed on it 8.1. I always do a new installation of Windows, whenever I have buy a laptop that I hate all the bloatware and stuff which they pre-install on it.
Unfortunately, when I did, I found that the drivers on the HP website do not work for some things, especially my wi - fi.
In Device Manager there are three things that make their appearance as having a problem:
Network controller:
PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_0036 & SUBSYS_217F103C & REV_01
Unknown device:
ACPI\VEN_HPQ & DEV_6001
Unknown device:
ACPI\VEN_HPQ & DEV_6007
If anyone can provide me with some drivers work, I would be incredibly grateful. I called HP and they told me all I can do is to pay $40 for a CD delivered to me so I can reinstall the version of bloatware, and I really want to do. I want to use my real version of Windows 8 and not pay for something I don't even want.
Thank you!
Nevermind, I fixed it myself by reading old son of Paul_Tikkanen
I used http://www.pcidatabase.com/index.php
and found the diver that I needed, and now I don't have to pay $40 for the version of bloatware. Yay!
Thank you Paul!

installation media containing the drivers for windows 7
How to download drivers installation for windows media 7? When I try to install windows 7 and I am trying to load the drivers, I get a message telling me to install drivers from media to load windows 7.
This option driver support is for when you need to install the drivers of third party controller, for example sata control, so that the installation can see the drive.
If your PC or motherboard if generic PC, supports win7 its useually not necessary need to install third-party drivers.
You need to tell us what you're trying to install win7, hardware and if it is a new construction.

Installation of Windows 7 64 bit on Envy M6-1205dx - I'm screwed for now...
I just want to M6-1205dx... First thing I did was bust on my CD of Windows 7 64-bit... I enabled legacy mode so that it can boot from CD... I deleted all but the recovery partition (thinking it would allow me to go to Windows 8 I if desired)... I install W7, and then he got all the way to the end of the installation and gave error "" windows cannot configure at installed on this hardware "and won't be finished...»
Then, I discovered that it is not a recovery (must have need of one of the other partitions I deleted) and given that manufacturers no longer include media (all the cents.35 it cost them) I'm totally screwed...
I really wish I had loaded W7, but if that's impossible, I would put 8 on!
Any ideas?
Thank you
Today, I had a Client who wanted to Downgrade to Windows 7 Windows 8 on a laptop HP Envy M6. After that reading many articles about everyones unsuccessful attempts to install Windows 7 on this laptop, I had to respond.
First Things First
1. go into the BIOS and enable the Legacy Mode.
2. under the Legacy boot order - have the CD - RW / DVD - RW DRIVE Boot First.
3. restart the computer
4. press the "ESC" button when she said HP or when it says press ESC for Boot Options
5. Select "F9" for "Boot Device Options '.
NOTE: DO NOT SELECT THE ' INTERNAL CD/DVD ROM DRIVE (UEFI) - even knowing that you have your Windows 7 DVD in the drive
6 SELECT ' INTERNAL CD/DVD-ROM DRIVE (this is the Option to boot Legacy & is the difference between failure and success.7. install Windows 7 normally
PLEASE NOTE: DELETE ALL PARTITIONS ON THE DRIVE C, INCLUDING THE RECOVERY. IF YOU DO DELETE A RECOVERY, THIS PROCESS WILL NOT WORK.
8. upon completion of the installation of Windows 7. Open the Device Manager. You will notice that there are several devices that the drivers are not installed. PCI device / Sm Bus controller / network card / adapter Ethernet / USB controller / USB Controller.
9 go to the following Web page of HP and install Audio / LAN / WIFI / CARD READER / GRAPHICS for Windows 7 64 bit, providing that you have installed a 64-bit Windows Version.
Don't forget not under "Input Devices" to download the card - reader This will install the driver for the PCI device in Device Manager.
In Device Manager - you'll end up with SM Bus controller and 2 USB controllers to install.
10 navigate to this Wepage Lenovo for the Bus SM AMD controller driver. Download the file (DO NOT RUN) and install as usual. Accept the license agreement. After completing the driver installation, the device shows as installed SM Bus controller Manager (possibly after a reboot).http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS019868
11. Finally, you need to install the drivers for USB 3.0 to your card controller mother AMD. Go to the following Web site to download these drivers.

Installation of Windows XP on Satellite U300
I need to downgrade my laptop from vista to XP pro. After "slipstreaming" the new drivers sata in XP, I installed windows xp.
After installing all the drivers (and drivers from the chipset), I left two questionmarks. (other devices)
I really have no idea what are these two devices.
When I look in Device Manager it shows
-devices instance id: ACPI\TOS620A\2 & DABA3FF & 0
and the other shows the device:
PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_444E & SUBSYS_444E8086 & REV_01\4 5EDAD & 23F & 0 & 00E0Any suggestions? Or new drivers for Windows XP Home Edition?
Hello
A question:
Have you installed all XP drivers such as mentioned in the installation instructions?
Installation instructions are on the page of the Toshiba driver. You must follow the order of installation.
By the way; the DABA3FF & ACPI\TOS620A\2 & 0 seem to be a driver of shock protection Toshiba HDD.
In my opinion, you can find it in the HDD Protection Utility. However, the installation instructions should be cheeks and you should follow it!

No USB 2.0 driver available for HP p7-1254 (for the installation of Windows 7)
P7-1254 HP Desktop
Windows 7 Edition Home Premium 64-bitI replaced my hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows 7.
I already found the drivers from hp.com site, and I am familiar with the order and the process of installing the driver on this machine. My problem is; HP seems to offer is more USB 2.0 for downloading drivers.
USB 3.0 drivers are all that is available for the HP p7-1254.
So I have two questions:
1. can I install only the drivers USB 3.0 on a Windows 7 computer, and wait for my USB 2.0 devices to work?
2. in the case, where can I download drivers USB 2.0 for this machine?
Thank you in advance for any help or advice you offer.
Hello:
Windows 7 has the USB 2 drivers included with the operating system.
USB3 drivers will only install the drivers for the 3 USB ports.
You must install the amd chipset driver and restart the computer before installing other drivers.
