'Other' huge space in the 6-16 GB iPhone

I am a former user of the iPhone (the first was a 3G) and have always been immobilized in the number of applicants, so I opted for the 6 16 GB, already used capacity in the previous iPhone, iPhone 4S. The big problem is that since the purchase, often when it is in the wi - fi and in decision-making, I see the free space constantly collapse, to effectively zero, with more than 7 GB in the category 'other '. Thus, it is impossible to update applications, to take photos, etc..

The situation cannot be resolved by a backup in iTunes, full erase and restore the backup. It is ok for a while, maybe a week or two and then... apparently, is a being of backup done but never finished, but even with backup is disabled, the situation repeats. Maybe it could be a certain inconsistency account or iCloud...

This month I've already restored my iPhone 4 times. To avoid or at least delay the problem whenever I have it plug into the socket, I turn off wi - fi. I have another problem: my documents in iCloud drive does not show to iCloud drive app iPhone, only in my computers (MacBook Pro and Mac Mini), already known by Apple and never resolved question.

A few points: use iCloud drive intensely (today are 150 GB of data), use the iCloud Photos (library of 90 GB) native (Bank app, Twitter, FB, Whatsapp, Nubank, TelecinePlay...) and some applications not any strange or very specific which could be the cause of the problem. I did the factory reset and set up as new.

A person is in a similar situation? I appreciate the comments!

Just my 2 cents. I don't think that the statement is correct. This procedure has solved only 10 percent of the 'other' cases. The rest are resolved by the implementation of unit like new.

Your problem however will not be resolved by the latter, you have far too much data to phone 16 concerts. Photo library can be reduced in size a lot, I saw up to 25 times, but the documents (you referring to 60 gigs in icloud drive) that sounds like an impossible task to synchronize with this size of the phone.

  • Partitioning hard drive, I want to spend 30/40 GB drive and the remaining space for the creation of other partitions.

    I created a recovery disc for my system that I bought the new laptop.
    It consist of 500 GB HARD drive, now the problem is the C - drive which is my WIN7 Home Basic installed occupies 400 GB of space and the D-drive has only 25 GB.
    My problem is I want to partition the drive C so that the other player must occupy the space according to my condition.
    But here its only gives me half the space to shrink.
    I mean, when I opened diskmgmt to shrink, C this is 200 GB disk space allotted to me.
    Medium I can use this space to create other partitions, but what I want is, I want to spend 30/40 GB C drive and the remaining space for the creation of other partitions.
    Help, please... Thnks...

    That's what we tried to tell you. An OEM installation does not lend itself to change and having to clear guarantees for re-setup means that you must be quite certain that you have other reliable ways to re-setup.

    If you want to dabble with Linux or dual boot, you should buy a complete commercial edition of Windows 7 that will give you more flexibility and accept that for drivers etc, you're on your own...

  • 'Other' file Type is the biggest consumer of our use of space VSAN... chart?

    Hello

    Today, I noticed the use of space in our data VSAN store graph. When I looked at the numbers, I was surprised!  Why is the 'Other' file Type on the 5 TB and our largest consumer of our data VSAN store? There is no backup or ISO data on our VSAN and when I browse the data store I can find no file strange c.q. directories.

    Anyone have an explanation for it?

    Zach, you're explanation makes sense and I hope that it is true. Maybe VMware can clarify this in future KB documentation.

  • Flash board game - player Make unable to land on the same space as the other player

    I am currently working on a basic flash game. The entire game is driven by a spinner. Once a player spins the spinner, it determines it is the player's turn. Once the round is determined, it moves the current player amount appropriate to the spaces. If the current player's final destination is the space that the other player currently resides, I want it to move one additional space.

    Here's the function that I work with, and I am struggleing to operate. Any reccomendations, help is much appreciated:

    function moveRedPiece (): void

    {

    trace ("Spin Complete");

    for (var i: int = 0; i < numberOfMoves; i ++) {}

    If (currentSpaceRed < 28) {}

    currentSpaceRed += 1;

    }

    ElseIf (currentSpaceRed == 28) {}

    currentSpaceRed = 0;

    }

    If (redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x == p1.x & & redArray [currentSpaceRed] there == p1.y & & currentSpaceRed < 28 & & I == numberOfMoves) {}

    currentSpaceRed += 1;

    redtargetX = redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x;

    redtargetY = redArray [currentSpaceRed] there;

    plasticUpSound.play ();

    var redTween:TweenMax = new TweenMax (p2, 1.5, {x: 3, y: redtargetY + 4 redtargetX, ease:Expo.easeInOut, onComplete:dropMeRed});})

    trace ("RED BUMP 1");

    }

    ElseIf (redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x! = p1.x & & redArray [currentSpaceRed] there! = p1.y & & currentSpaceRed == 28 & & I == numberOfMoves) {}

    currentSpaceRed = 0;

    redtargetX = redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x;

    redtargetY = redArray [currentSpaceRed] there;

    plasticUpSound.play ();

    var redTween2:TweenMax = new TweenMax (p2, 1.5, {x: 3, y: redtargetY + 4 redtargetX, ease:Expo.easeInOut, onComplete:dropMeRed});})

    trace ("RED BUMP 2");

    }

    else {}

    redtargetX = redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x;

    redtargetY = redArray [currentSpaceRed] there;

    plasticUpSound.play ();

    trace ("not");

    var redTween3:TweenMax = new TweenMax (p2, 1.5, {x: 3, y: redtargetY + 4 redtargetX, ease:Expo.easeInOut, onComplete:dropMeRed});})

    }

    }

    }

    Concerning

    If you have made the changes that I proposed (I == numberOfMoves - 1) my guess is redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x! = p1.x or redArray [currentSpaceRed] there! = p1.y for some reason any.

    Add this line just before the if statement:

    trace (redArray [currentSpaceRed] .x + "is" + p1.x + "&" + redArray [currentSpaceRed] there + "is" + p1.y);

  • Excessive use of disk space on the computer.

    With my machine Win7 with nothing other than the operating system and software support (AV, ZAfirewall, wireless) what's with 32 GB of disk space?

    This machine is alive for 3 weeks.

    Now my XP machine which is alive for years and has all of its updates as well as tons of other software collected over the years and it is only using 8 gig.

    Why the huge difference?

    Oh I agree, it will be never be the same. But it's strange to use 30 + GB on a new installation.

    But absolutely.  You cannot buy a different system and wait until it has the same footprint as a predecssor. It's like saying 'My XP uses more space than BACK!', well duh, BACK fits on a floppy :)

  • msg.hbacommon.outOfSpace:There is reached for disk virtual server_1 - 000008.vmdk.  You may be able to continue this session by freeing up disk space on the partition relevant, clicking Retry

    Hello

    I've seen various threads on this topic but have not found a resolution or explanation that fits my specific scenario.

    I have an ESXi 4 server connected to a San (700 GB) with 1 virtual machine on that (Exchange 2010).   The virtual machine, I created has 4 discs, 50GB for the OS, 2 240 GB for database drives and 1 100 GB drive for newspapers.  In the operating system, each partition shows that I have a lot of space.  Last night, I'm moving on our Exchange 2003 Server mailboxes when all of a sudden I get this error message and stop the server:

    msg.hbacommon.outOfSpace:There is reached for disk virtual server_1 - 000008.vmdk.  You may be able to continue this session by freeing up disk space on the relevant partition, and then click Retry.  Otherwise, click Cancel to end this session.  Try again / Stop

    Retry reproduced the error... Stop stop the virtual machine.

    After I stop, I look in the client vsphere under hardware > storage > SAN where the disc is, and I find that I'm out of space.

    Now, I created multiple snapshots I could fall back on since when I was doing the initial setup of the Exchange.  I deleted a large number of people and got up to about 50 GB of free space showing on the SAN.  However, this number is declining slowly.

    Now, when I created the virtual machine, I configured the ramdisks to be of a certain size already (50 GB, 240 GB, etc.).  How is it that adding data (moving the mailbox) using more space than what is already assigned to the virtual disks?  This will become a huge problem that I have several other mailboxes to move and I thought that I had already allocated to the space I need.

    Why is that when the server is just sitting there.  Available free space decreases?  It has something to do with the type of disc that I created? (Thickness)

    Could someone please explain why this is happening and, more important still, how can I stop it without having to do anything too drastic?

    Hello.

    "I have an ESXi 4 server connected to a San (700 GB) with 1 virtual machine on that (Exchange 2010).   The virtual machine, I created has 4 discs, 50GB for the OS, 2 240 GB for database drives and 1 100 GB drive for newspapers.  In the operating system, each partition shows that I have a lot of space. »

    You have created 630 GB of thick disks on a 700 GB of data store.  Thick disks use this allocated space, no matter what operating system did with them in terms of use. Yes GB 630 thickness = 630 GB used space on the data store.

    "Last night, I'm moving on the mailboxes of our Exchange 2003 server, when all of a sudden I get this error message and stop the server:
    msg.hbacommon.outOfSpace:There is reached for disk virtual server_1 - 000008.vmdk.  You may be able to continue this session by freeing up disk space on the relevant partition, and then click Retry.  Otherwise, click Cancel to end this session.  Try again / Stop
    After I stop, I look in the client vsphere under hardware > storage > SAN where the disc is, and I find that I'm out of space. »

    You still snapshots (as you also mentioned) on this virtual machine as well.  With only 70 GB of free space on the data store, the snapshots are defintely going to be able to fill the volume in short order.

    «Now, when I created the virtual machine, I configured the ramdisks to be of a certain size already (50 GB, 240 GB, etc.).»  How is it that adding data (moving the mailbox) using more space than what is already assigned to the virtual disks? »

    When you create the snapshot, a new drive is created that will get all new disk writes.  So to copy a large number of mailboxes will use a lot of space quickly.

    "Why is that when the server is just sitting there."  Available free space decreases?  It has something to do with the type of disc that I created? (Thick) »

    Thick is using space, and convert it into thin disks may help to varying degrees - depending on the amount of writes.  It is above all the snapshots of the origin of the problem, or at least it's where you can focus your attention to solve this.

    "Could someone please explain why this is happening and, more important still, how can I stop it without having to do anything too drastic?"

    Remove snapshots and/or move this virtual machine to a data store greater would be the simpler of two corrections.

    Good luck!

  • Newly added partition consume perceivable space in the tablespace

    Hello

    I added a new partition to an already existing partitioned table. This table has been partitioned by composite that is range and hash partitioning. After you add the new partition, I checked the relevant tablespaces and I realized that the % of each relevant tablespace has been increased to a few percent (8% to 10%) and in terms of size of 1 GB of space total was consumed/occupied by this newly added partition.

    My question is that is - this normal? If this isn't the case, then what could be the problem occurred? The important thing is that I completely did the same on the other two instances of the same database running on two different machines, and here I do not see a significant consumption of space in the relevant tablespaces only 0.01% space was occupied it.

    I would be grateful to the subject to help in this problem.

    Arshad.

    Hello

    FIPCA_RESULTS_PART0X tablespace size is close to 6500 M.
    The size of each partition is then 64 to create time.
    This means that each partition would almost 64/6500 * 100 = 1%

    That's why since it's composite partitioning know not how many partition you add both. If you add a partition 4 at the same time, there is a 4% increase in the use of space.
    It was only for the segment of the table. If you also have indexes on these tables then they would also occupy little space and I guess it would be 4% again so you see a 8% increase whenever a partition is created.

    If you do not see the same phenomena of another tablespace means one or both
    (1) storage spaces are very huge (since you're calculating percentage)
    (2) the initial and next extent of this table is less than what it is in this database.

  • I started the download of el capitan and did not have enough space for the upgrade - I released space, but now the upgrade is blocked for download

    I'm on 10.10.5 and try to upgrade to el capitan via the App Store.  I don't have enough space at the beginning and upgrade wouldn't start - I got error message says not enough disk space.  Once I released space, download hangs and will not end.  I have restarted the download several times and have rebooted as well.

    Hello

    Take a look in your Applications folder to install Mac OS X El Capitan.app. If you find move him to the trash, then empty/remove it. Another thing you could try is to go to Launchpad and look an article with the 'X' Mac OS X logo on it,

    Click and hold on it until it wiggles, and then click the little 'x' and then delete.

    Restart the Mac, relaunch the App Store and see if you can download now El Capitan.

    Another thing you can do, when the download is complete and what is important before you begin the installation process, do a copy to install Mac OS X El Capitan.app and keep them safe, to an external drive or USB key, the original in the Application folder item is deleted once the installation is complete. It is snack and practice have this spare copy so that you can install on other Macs if you want you will need to re - install the system should anything go wrong in the future.

    And always, always make a backup before making major changes to your system.

  • How can I add a spacer to the bookmarks toolbar?

    I'm running version 33.1 and 35.0a2 of Firefox and all I want to do is add some space on the left side of the bookmarks toolbar, but I can't find this option to customize more. Does anyone know how to do this in the new versions? I can't even find additional modules for it.

  • Help resizing partition to allocate more space to the operating system

    I shared the size of my HD between OS & Windows when I partitioned.  I do not use Windows often but it's nice to have.  I would like to allocate more space to the operating system I use the low disk space.  I've seen several posts on the removal of Windows, the partition and then re-create it with the new size.  I also saw people talk about other programs to do.  What is the best way to do it without compromising the integrity of my HD?  OS X 10.10.5 - Windows 7 SP1 64 bit

    Thank you.

    The Apple-supported method is to remove Windows (Wizard BC only) and re-install Windows on a smaller Windows partition. Third-party tools come in a variety of commercial to the OpenSource and will work with varying degrees of success.

  • Impossible, drag a bookmark to horizontal bookmarksbar (space under the address bar)

    In FF 18.0.2 there are 4 bars I can activate for use, by putting a tick in the respective option: 'menu, navigationbar, bookmarksbar, addonsbar bar. (I hope you don't mind the wrongspellings, I have FF in finninsh) When I check "bookmarksbar", it creates a horizontal blank space below the address bar. Isn't this space to quickly open frequently used pages, without the vertical bookmarsbar? Now, it seems that it is impossible to drag any bookmark to it addresses or the vertical bookmarksbar bar. There must be a reason for this horizontal blank space, but how do I use it? Or have I misunderstood this? I have searched for the solution, but have yet to see any question about it. A lot of other things about bookmarks, but not only this one. Or other person, except me, care about this thing, or so it works in other machines. Any help appreciated!

    Go to firefox > bookmarks (or press ctrl + shift + B) to open the library. Here you can move bookmarks of the bookmarks toolbar in the Bookmarks menu or unsorted bookmarks (simply by dragging and dropping them in a different location).

  • White space to the right of Firefox

    There is a big empty space to the right of my Firefox window. Attached a picture. http://Tinypic.com/r/dfeeww/6

    the first troubleshooting step, you can take is to start firefox in safe mode and see if the problem is still occurring. otherwise it's probably a faulty extension - then you would have to disable them, restart firefox, and re-enable one by one (reboot may be needed again) to find out which one is the cause - the cause please report back afterwards, so that other users with the same issue can find a quick solution.
