• My compiled program crashes after the first run (LabVIEW 2009)

  I have a compiled program created with LabVIEW 2009 which, in the first round, once the computer is restarted, works fine but after discontinuation of the program, it will not work properly.

  The program uses a compiled Launcher to dynamically activate a set of VI containing the expectation driven by State Machines (QDSM).  Begins subsequent program launcher module appears fine, and his progress bar shows that she starts each of the VI.  Once the Launcher is complete it removes memory launched Dynamics VI and caressed.  The spear that do not reach the main UI that VI is barely long enough for the observer to see (if there is one) then stops.  The program then went from memory I can say.  There is no process in memory or anything.

  In both case, my program does raise all errors (that are connected), or runtime generates everything I can see.  Also, when I run my program in the development environment the program does that way.  He has no problem at all.

  I have used this style of architecture front of LV8.6 with all the problems.  Can anyone suggest some possible solutions or even a few debugging tips?  I've never had a problem that I could not duplicate in the development environment, so I'm not sure how to start to attack my question.

  I solved the problem I think that (at least with regard to the tests on this point revealed).   After that I added the possibility to connect the past States to of the QDSM, I was able to determine that the program was 'plant' after that I dynamically closed the Panel front of the Launcher.  My program is designed to close the Panel before the pitcher, then pop up the façade of the main user interface.   My EXE is inspired to hold the Launcher with my other files QDSM kept outdoors in specific directories.  What seemed to be happening is that when Launcher closed its façade and before UI opening upward the runtime engine decide since it is y no Windows Open he was closing down.  It's my guess on what might happen any way.  I modified my code to change the Launcher window to hidden and delay for 1/2 second to give a chance to fully start running to the main user interface.  This will correct the problem, or at least worked around her.  If someone out there can explain me exactly what is happening that I sure would appreciate it.

• Satellite U400: Various uncomfortable questions - rundll, programs etc. of closing.

  I have a laptop Toshiba U400 brand new which started to play up.

  When I try to open a document using a program for which
  I navigate on the computer - and not one assigned to the document, if I click on 'Browse' the white on the box and I get the message "Windows host (rundll32.exe) process has stopped working. A problem with the program
  stop working properly. Please close the program. »

  Another question which is, I am sure, related, is that I can't save documents in Open Office - when I click on 'save', the program just close and will not reopen without a reboot. There are other small picturesque glitches such as when I click on the paperclip to attach a document to a Windows Mail email the winodw and WM closes agains and just requires a reboot.

  In fact, most of the problems seem to imply by clicking a function make the close program.

  I've read pretty much everything about the online rundll error - it seems especially Nero, which I did not - and I uninstalled everything I put on the machine to see if it was a difficulty, which was unfortunately not. And I, of course, run my catcher program viruses and spyware, which found nothing untoward.

  For me, it looks like all the problems described in your messages are associated with any 3rd party applications that are running on your laptop with pre-installed Vista OS.

  It seems that the programs are causing these annoying problems. Perhaps because of the non compatibility with Vista? ?:| It's not impossible!

  You can reinstall the OS using the recovery CD. Then update the operating system for the last State install SP1 and Ms patches
  Don t install applications 3rd before you didn t, how the system works and if it s running stable.

  If Yes, then your 3rd party installed programs cause these problems.

• What version of the Visa Runtime executable files compiled in LabVIEW 7.1 require?

  We have an old executable that was written in LabVIEW 7.1 and uses the serial port communication.  We are licensed with LabVIEW 2010, however our company policy requies a lot of paperwork so he should recompile.

  The executable program has worked well over the years.  The computer on which it is running has to be replaced. Any software included in the CD 'Install' is not enough, and now there is no communication with the serial device.  I guess the problem would be DURATION VISA European Commission.

  Does anyone know which version of the Runtime VISA is required for executable files compiled in LabVIEW 7.1?  Is this something of "Legacy"?

• My old reliable 16 bit BACK interpreted (and not compiled) program, an add-on for Angoss Smartware, who worked for years in XP has stopped working

  I have a spreadsheet, database, wordprocess modules DOS base program and that it is a programming language with which I programmed an accounting software package among other things. In recent weeks it does not my code. One machine said parity memory error and stops, another machine said variable file does not. I can load my original spreadsheet and database of the 16 bit BACK exe files but not inside my code 'interpreted '. The actual data and spreadsheets, loading files and can be changed. I tried to recompile from source code that I wrote and Windows no longer allows that. The software name is Smartware II and executable is angossx.exe if anyone is familiar with it.

  This program worked from a file of DOS commands, with a pif associated with the executable file and the autoexec and config files in windows\system32 for many year starting with Windows31...

  I suspect a recent update of security in Windows caused my code to look like rogue code. Anyone have any ideas on a solution?

• In Device Manager, OTHER DEVICES has yellow question mark

  I always have problems with sudden black screens with auto restart.  It has been suggested that I get a new video driver, so I went into Device Manager, and since there is no list for video devices, I looked in the other devices section (which has PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus controller, video controller, and video controller - compatible VGA) there is a yellow question mark next to each one.  I opened each of them and read, "Unknown manufacturer", and "the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28) ' how to find who is the manufacturer and model and the version?

  It might be true that it doesn't work with Windows 7, I never said it would work with Windows 7 (it's the XP forum, don't forget!) but there may be something similar.  Since WIndows 7 is so wunnerfool, they just left that have a completely since there must be no need for this.

  99% of the things on which I work is some flavor of Windows Server, XP or Citrix and haven't seen nobody wants to even consider moving their campus everything to Windows 7 and I do not see happening any time soon!  It is not in their plans at all.

  I support a handful of populous (just a few) who have systems that require Windows 7 for some features and other things though, but they are just itty bitty compared to the basic XP installed.

  Hi, I'm working on my first blackberry and I'm running difficulties with my design decision, so I hope someone could clarify.

  Every time I have airs in .net, I would use the MVC pattern. My will would execute a custom event defined in the regulator and I think could capture this event. However, I don't know how I can do this for blackberry. I have a text in my view field and a class that extends buttonfield in the model. I would like to set the button to have some effect on the text field, but I don't know how to get the message without the screen to each button.

  Well technically the best design is a Singleton model, but to be honest, I don't know how they actually work. It all depends on how you look at. This global semi variable are not available outside of an instance of your application, and you are not likely to have a large development on a BlackBerry app team, so the chances of your loss of its security program or stability due to the interference is low. I know that experienced programmers and professors who are religious opposition to global variables, but they certainly have their place, and I see no problem with taking advantage of this feature you are proposing. Developers are encouraged to take advantage of multi-threading to maximize efficiency and avoid the garbage collection (in other words, create variables with limited scope that are released from memory.   I just upgraded successfully Win 7 (home) to Win 8 (Pro).

  I have a few questions in mind:

  Q1: A program icon can be PIN to the taskbar and desktop at the same time?

  Q2: Under Win 7, user can easily see all installed programs by clicking on all programs in the Start Menu and select no matter what and copy and paste it on the desktop or PIN to the taskbar task, but under Win 8, I could not find this feature. CAB user to access the program to install all at the same time? Or the user needs to type the name of the program to the search box one by one? How to pin it in the Start Menu Win 8 on the desktop instead?
