Out-of-Box Experience

I'd give him a grade of "D" for OBE (Out of Box Experience). No documentation for (what I guess be) 90% of the features. For example, I have no idea how to begin to create a process model. Another immediate observation: is there a way to twisting out of the lines of relationship (for example, get to run 100% horizontally, with no laps)?

Try the different demonstrations and tutorials available on the Data Modeler learn moreabout OTN page. In particular, there is a section called online demos with shorter and longer, demonstrations including a series on the process model.

  • Re: Out-of-box recovery

    Hello

I uninstalled the driver Realtek Ethernet controller and then accidentally installed the Realtek Windows all-in-one, but it wouldn't do the same thing as the other.

Then I tried to uninstall, but it wouldn't let me so I tried to make out-of-box recovery. It is said to hold the 0 (zero) and press the power button, if that's what I did and it froze right on the page with the Red "TOSHIBA" on, even though the manual says it should come with a warning page.

I'm not an expert in computers and am very stuck on what to do because I have to use the Ethernet cable, every time I want to connect to the internet.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful. :)

It will be interesting to know what model of laptop do you have and what operating system is preinstalled. I don't know if you have a machine US or European but in s user guides document will describe how to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

Please send us mobile exact model so that we can try to help you.

This seems to be a Toshiba US series.

Here, I found the manual for this device.
    [Manual satellite A205-S5000 | http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/manuals/userguides/su1931068/SatA200A205_GMAD00130010_07Apr23.pdf]
Here you can find instruction how to recover the device

To recover the disk HARD using the disc utilities stored on HDD monitoring this statement:
-Be sure that the laptop is OFF
-Press and hold the 0 (zero) while turning on the laptop. Then the Toshiba Recovery Wizard should start.
-Then click on recovery of factory default software and press next
-Follow the next steps and the instructions on the screen.

If this does not work, then you will need to order the recovery for US disc series.

  • How to restore my computer toshiba laptop out-of-box state?

A few days ago I received a notification window report a problem with my operating system (although it's practically new) in my laptop Toshiba Satellite 15.6 "3 GB 320 HD. After not being able to open ALL the files in my office (ex: icon workstation), task bar (the ex icon) or even start menu (e.g. Control Panel), I decided to restore my laptop to an earlier configuration, when the problem was not present. At the end of the restore process, I received an error message. I restarted my laptop again and the problem continues (not being able to open the files, applications, or programs). I then decided to restore my laptop with the option of deleting is not my current data. Out of 47 process had to be done, my set up spun without progressing to the #3 / 47 (display of SMA - I think). Although I was warned not to disrrupt the process, I forced my laptop turned off after 30 minutes.

Now, when I try to boot my laptop, I get a message that my computer is preparing for first use; When I get to the 'Welcome' screen, my session runs without procedure. After forcing my laptop off and restart my computer several times, I left my laptop computer spinning during the night and when I woke up, I could choose, "Administrator" or "guest user". When I click on "Administrator", a screen will appear indicating that I don't have permission to enter this environment. When I select "Guest user", I have to enter my username and password. Although I never created a password for this laptop, I'm not allowed to login without password.

I am now trying to restore my computer laptop out-of-box settings, but when I try to hold F8 at startup, I don't have the option to select the recovery settings, as I already did when I tried to restore my laptop to an earlier configuration.

For Toshiba, you press and hold "0" while turning on the computer...

  • DeskJet 1010: Printer lacks USB cable out of box

What says the subject; Miss me the printer USB cable right out of the box. I have found nowhere on this site to report such a question, so if someone could send me to where I had to go or be able to directly help me that would be much appreciated!

For more details, I bought the printer at a local Walmart but have moved since then and am unable to go back there, so I am looking for HP itself.

    Hello

No, no USB cable in the box, it is clear in the box. You buy you USB cable. He also says

"USB cables are available from any reputable dealer." that means you have to buy yourself

  • That video card works out of Box with P7 - 1240 Desktop with Win 7-64 bit & A10-5700 AMD processor?

    Hi people,

I'm new here and that you have already looked for solutions.  I bought new in June 2012 with card mother MSI MS-7778-Jasmine, image AMD A10-5700, 10 MB of ram and Windows 7 64-bit Office P7-1240.  I am trying to install a graphics card, so my son can play games it must currently play on low resolution using the integrated graphics card.

I have updated my 600 Watt Corsair PSU and tried GTX 750 Ti and cards GTX-660 without success (the computer does not start after the HP splash screen).  I have also tried to map AMD Radeon R7-265 but couldn't even boot to the HP splash screen.  If I understand correctly, HP offers no updated BIOS for Windows 7 (I read here that a guy has loaded an update of the BIOS for Windows 8 on his machine to Windows 7 and it worked, but I'm too chicken to try it).

I just put this issue to rest.  So my question is simply this: does anyone know of a series of graphics cards that will work certainly OUT-OF-THE-BOX in my machine with the slot of the BIOS and PCI - Exp 16 Gen 2 stock?  I'll try a 500-series GTX card then.  But I wanted to get some advice first, because I won't be able to return it if it does not work.

    Thank you!

    Gary

    Hi GBaksh,

The problem looks like a bug of AMD Vision Engine Control Center.  You could search the Internet by using the error message and see what you find.  I don't know if the AMD software will uninstall without the adapter being active which means remove the NVIDIA 750 and reboot and then go into Control Panel - programs and remove the AMD software. I've seen this sort of thing happens in the past on my HP e9280t using the ATI 4850 and AMD CCC software but this is a rare situation.  You can give it a try.  I do not use the AMD products that much so I can't say with certainty what is the shortest path to success.

  • HP ENVY 4502: New out of box want 4502 says 'the following ink cartridges need to be replaced.

I bought a new HP ENVY 4502. I have out of the box, follow the installation instructions precisel before 4.9 step. The printer says 'Cartridge Install' with a blue under circle. I can't go any further.

I turn the machine off and on again and everything looks OK and I can continue with the installation.

Is this normal or does indicate that there is a problem with the new printer or cartridges provided?

Thank you for your help; I look forward to a response

    Hi @johngray,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I'd love to help you with your newly purchased 4502 envy. From your description, it seems that you have seen the 'Installation cartridge' message with a blue circle and could not move forward through the installation until you turned the printer off and on again. Your message, it sounds like once you have turned off the printer and turn it on again you were able to complete the installation, is that correct? I think that maybe there was a minor hiccup and the printer does not detect that the cartridge was installed, I don't think that it is an indication of how the printer will behave in the future.

If you encounter any other complications please let me know and I will gladly make all that I can to help.

If it meets your needs, please consider tagging this post as solved by clicking on accepted as a Solution below to identify your problem as solved! Thank you.

  • WAP200 does not work out of box

I bought 3 of these wireless G access points and none of them are plug-and-play.  I'm here because I spent the last three hours, trying to go through all the steps which they suggest in the Quick Start Guide.

I tried to enter in a web browser the default IP address and waiting for a connection that does not appear.

Does anyone have these problems and what makes this access point works.

    Thank you.

    Marlene

    Hello

Thank you for posting. Here's the easiest way I know to access and configure the devices:

    1. Give your PC a static IP address: 192.168.1.200. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default no gateway or DNS.
    2. Plug the WAP200 directly on the PC. Ensure that the without thread is disabled on the PC and connect to the LAN (wired) is enabled.
    3. With the WAP200 under tension, hold the reset for 12 seconds and give it a minute to restart.
    4. Open your web browser and go to 192.168.1.245
    5. Sign in using username: admin password: admin
    6. Configure the wireless settings and a static IP address that corresponds to your network. Example:
    • IP address: 192.168.1.245 (use 246, 247, etc. for multiple access points)
    • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    • Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 (use the IP address of your router)
    • Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1 (use the IP address of your router
    • Secondary DNS: 8.8.8.8 (Public DNS server hosted by Google)

Note If your router is for example: 10.0.1.1, you should give the IP 10.0.1.245 access point

Note that if you plug the AP on your router "out of the box", it will get an IP address from the router. You won't be able to reach to 192.168.1.245. You can check the status of the router to see what address was given to the AP and the newspaper to the web interface using this address. This is the second way to set up the devices.

Answer please if you have any questions.
