Outgoing e-mail is always sent 4 times, why?

WHEN SENDING MAIL USING OUTLOOK EXPRESS SENDS 4 TIMES INSTEAD OF JUST ONCE.  WHY IS THIS GOING ON AND HOW CAN I FIX IT?  I HAVE TO RE-INSTALL THE PROGRAM TWICE WITHOUT ANY CHANGE.

OE is a part of XP, so the only way to reinstall is to reinstall XP.
 
 
You must create a new shipment and sent items box and disable e-mail analysis.
 
 
1: Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox, and then create the new box of sent, and sent items files after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.
 
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
 
In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
 
With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.
 
After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
 
Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
 
 
2: Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.     To project e-mails, open the preferences Mail account tab select the account gmail and go to the behaviour of the ball. Uncheck the tab where you will store draft messages on the server.

    I can't send an email and when I try this, it goes into the Outbox.  Also, I got an error message:

    Cannot send Mail, the operation could not be completed. (MCMailErrorDomain error 1032.) When I go to the email preferences under account information, the server of outgoing (SMTP) mail shows Centurylong (offline).  Any ideas how to remedy this situation and be able to send mail again.  iCloud mail are not sent or the other (same as above e-mail server).

  • Mail is always "Download Messages".

    I noticed that Apple Mail is always "Download Messages".  This process will occur approximately every 10 minutes.  This is usually between 250 and 270 messages.  (screenshot)  However, there is no double or extra emails.  In addition, the number of downloaded emails usually does not change (perhaps by 1 or 2 later in the day).

    I have 4 email accounts in Mail, which are all Gmail accounts.  I went through each account settings and made sure they are all handled in the same way and have the same options are checked.

    I think I found the problem with account, because I tried with the right button and select "Take account offline" when I see that it starts to download the messages.  Once I have put offline, the download stops.  I tried to remove this suspected account and Add again, but it still does the same thing.  Any help would be appreciated!
