Product recovery CD's install German WXP
PRODUCT RECOVERY CD INSTALL GERMAN WINDOWS XP.
I can't change Windows XP to British English.
My Tecra 9100 was purchased from the United Kingdom and is the UK version PT910E-5XPZF-EN.
I then installed XP from a different CD and it was evenly divided HD in C & D drives with the German version on C and D on UK version.H-E-L-P please!
Hi Vic
Just no panic please. I hope that we can find a solution to your problem. First of all, I want to know how you want to configure the laptop exactly.
It will also be interesting to know if this different CD was German-speaking and if it is a full installation of Microsoft CD and NOT the restore CD.

Satellite A30 product recovery CD
I need to restore the HD of Satellite A30 of my boy.
He gave me that one DVD 'product Recovery DVD-ROM'
He is also says "2/2", which I suppose that it is disk 2 of 2.This DVD is not bootable. so I guess there could be a disk of 1/2 which is bootable and contains the basic recovery program.
My question: am reason above supported and if yes, where can we get the first DVD, since my boy seems to have lost it.
Thanks for any help.
Peter
Hello
You are right! There must be a n ° 1/2 recovery DVDs!
If you (or your son) have lost it, you can order a new one for every Service Toshiba partner. You only have to sign a solemn declaration for MS that you have lost the CD!
To http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com when you go to the support & downloads you will find a list of partners of Service Toshiba!

Tecra S1: Step by step how to reformat HARD drive by using the product recovery CD
OK guys, I'm about to return my lease (Toshiba Tecra S1); because the video card is 'us' and I would like to reformat the drive and return the system to its original state by using the "product recovery cd-rom provided Toshiba."
My problem is that the video card is on the right track and using windows is a challenge quite like its like watching a patchwork blanket. So, when you try to use the recovery of product cd-rom, I can just not read the screen "its comparable to the matrix.
I really need a tutorial step by step with screenshots at each step 'a map of the fool '. Can anyone help.
Thanks in advance,
RobstaHello Robsta
Believe you did not need the step by step tutorials or shoots screen. The recovery procedure is very simply.
Put the recovery CD in the CD/DVD drive
Turn on the laptop and keep C button for a few seconds
Follow the menu on the screen
Choose option 1 for installation in Standard mode and just follow what is happening on the screenAll that s!

Can speeds of DVD - I play slower pre-recorded DVD - Satellite P20 801
I have a Satellite P20 801. I think to buy a DVD burner, so I can transfer VHS to DVD hardware. If I recorded it at a slower speed, would I be able to play on my laptop? How can I tell if the DVD on the P20 player can play different rhythms - assuming that's possible?
Thank you.
Hello
As far as I know that the recording speed is not relevant for play. You can save on the minimum or maximum speed DVD and the DVD can be played on your P20. My previous laptop was P20 and I never had no problem with this.
Good bye

Question about product recovery CD
Hello
I have 2 partitions of hard drive (C and E), and I want to recover my system using the product recovery CD.
If I do this, will be deleted all the files in the partition E?
Thank youHello Omar
As I can see from your previous assignments you still didn t understand how it works. You have the new Satellite A200. the procedure of recovery for new laptops is not the same as the older models.
Old models of laptops has been bundled with ghost image and it was possible to use Expert mode and install the operating system on the C partition only. In this case, all data on other partitions was there.
With the new models of laptops Toshiba use the new recovery system (RICO). Unfortunately there is no option Expert mode and if you use recovery media to install the OS, the whole HARD disk will be deleted and you will lose all your data. The only thing is that you can do is to use the CONFIGURATION option and create two partitions. All that s.
In this topic describes Pedro very nice what you can do. Buy Norton Ghost for Vista and make your own recovery DVD that you can use at any time and only install the OS on the C partition.
Sorry but there is no other way to install OS and save the data on the partition of second or third.

Error with product recovery. Now, does not start. Satellite Pro A40
Hello
I tried to use my product recovery cd to reinstall windows so that the computer is in "like -new" condition However, when you use a disk and 25% step it crashed on saying me that it couldn't read the disc. Now, when I try to boot, it says ' Please insert system disk and press a key "I do, but I just get the same message repeated. This is if I try to book it from the cd or the hard drive.
What is my next step, how can I pick up my computer!
See you soon
Hmmm it's not easy to say why you t could not complete the installation. For me, it seems that the recovery CD is defective.
In any case, the message said that no BONES were found on the HARD drive and the laptop cannot start!
While do I think you should insert an original Windows XP CD and try to boot from the CD. The XP CD should format the HARD drive and install the new OS.Sorry, but I put t see another possibility.

Satellite L30-PSL33E - product recovery fails
Laptop Satellite / L30-psl33E
This is what happens:...
Product recovery disc boots, loading files, windows recovery watch utility box select English, then gives possibility of partition of drive or any use, I click to recommended any disc, then computer past the black screen, delete the partition 0, erasure of partition 1. * error...
(error creating file\\./physical drive0, the system cannot find the file specified),
hard drive # 0 is not accessible or bad raid configuration.
* Then an administrator opens upward *:... part of disk failed, has not the raid class, press any key to continue, * I press a key, *, the computer hangs, press a button again, another box of Directors appears with the command line.
x:\windows\system32\cmd.exe,Nice anyone got advice or tips, thanks
It's very strange
The error message says something about RAID but the L30 does not support the RAID and also the RAID drivers are not necessary.
I m a bit confused and I think there could be something wrong with the HARD drive.
Have you tried to reinstall the operating system from the original CD of Microsoft Windows?Try this format the disk using this CD, and then try again to reinstall the operating system.
If this does not work then a HARD disk problem is possible

Questions about the product recovery DVD?
Hello
After a boot failure sunk with Windows XP Home Edition on my Equium A60-181, I had no choice but to use the product recovery DVD. I noticed there is something called expert mode, I suppose that allows you to create a custom default value of the factory Setup. So I was wondering, is it possible to format the hard drive in FAT32 instead of NTFS, create a partition for Linux and continue to use the product recovery DVD? In case you are wondering I want FAT32, so I can safely read and write my XP with Linux partition as NTFS writing is still experimental at the moment.
See you soon,.
Richard S.
Hello
Check out this link. You will find an info exactly how to recover with the Expert mode.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2513&TSTART=15
However, if you want to create a new FAT32 partition or another standard (Linux), I propose to use the magic of Partitions. This is a very nice program and you have a lot of options (change the size of the partitions, etc.)
Good bye

I lost my CD of recovery of Windows XP Home Edition that was given with my Toshiba Satellite M40X-189 model and my operating system broke down and I am very helpless.
I bought in Edinburgh, UK and unfortulately currently I am living in INDIA. Customer service in India have said that they can not help me in this regard.
Please someone help me with this problem. Any suggestions to get my product recovery CD.
Thank you.
SandeepHello
I think that you´re in serious trouble now. If you have ever tried to get a recovery, unfortunately without success to an ASP, you will need to buy one in the United Kingdom.
It would be best to contact a partner registered in the city of you´ve bought the machine and ask them for a replacement of your lost recovery.Any better idea´s? :)
Welcome them

Reinstallation of the product recovery disc DLL file
I recently reformatted my hard drive and reloaded Windows XP Home Pro on my M100 Satellite (PSMA0A) from the product recovery disc.
Everything is OK except that I get an error 'Unauthorized repositioning of system DLL' whenever I start the computer?
The exact error message reads;
RTHDCPL. EXE, DLL unauthorized system
"The user32.dll system DLL has been moved in memory. The application will not work correctly. The move took place because the dll C:/WINDOWS/system32/HHCTRL. OCX occupied an address box reserved for windows system DLLS. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
I contacted Toshiba who suggested I need to set up a new user account and then delete the original user account, and this should solve the problem.
.... I did as suggested, although this has not solved the problem...
Any suggestion please
It will be nice if you can post the link.

With the help of product recovery CD when the hard drive replaced
Hi all
It seems that my hard drive is defective, so I bought a replacement, installed in the laptop OK and tried to use the Toshiba product recovery disc. The laptop started with the disc OK and recovery of product starting screen appeared and I started the process. The process starts, but then crashes and no matter how much time wait nothing further happens.
I put the defective hard drive, back to and started on the recovery disk and it started and the process started OK.
The recovery disc can not be used on a replacement hard drive? Surely, this is possible, as hard drives do fail and must be replaced.
Can someone tell me how to fix it please?
Thanks in advance!
In General, you can use recovery image after replacing HARD drive. I did the same thing on my machine.
It was: is the new HARD drive recognized properly? After Exchange of HDD enter BIOS and check this.
Before you begin the recovery image installation if please try to set the BIOS to the default settings and try reinstalling the recovery image.
