Referring to robocopy.txt, there is no option to exclude any hidden system directory.

  I use robocopy in Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system.

  I would like to use Robocopy to copy a disc (z) files on an external drive (f) and want to "full backup" every time regardless of whether the files have been modified.

  How do I do that?

  I tried to use the command

  Robocopy z:\ketchup f:\ketchup/e

  It works very well if there is nothing in this record, but once the initial order has been executed. It will skip all files of unchaged but I want yet it backs up to the top anyway.

  I would like also to add a unique name that includes the date and time I'm it backup (in essense a new backup folder name that contains the date and time).  Hoping to place it under scheduled tasks as soon as I get going.

When it is moved to archive, the file is updated with the most recent files and occasionally a script will be executed to update the archive. I was not copy security permissions and noticed that in archive all records were open to all users and given full control. I need to fix all the files already ive created in archive and copy that to proceed.

  As said by POCEH, the virtual destination machine will have a different MAC address and configure you need an IP address for the virtual machine... you can user a different or even the source, but use the same IP address, you must stop the old physical server or remove/change the IP address of the physical server to avoid IP address conflict.

  way back when I converted NT4 boxes, I used to install the converter directly on the actual area that you want to convert.  It seemed to work a little better.

  I'm transferring a 32-bit application on 64-bit.  In visual Studio, I added the 64-bit project configuration.  He compiled the source very well but the reports link errors:

  Already running 32-bit application? Have you changed references to the 64-bit version?

  You use Measurement Studio? If so some features are not supported with 64 bit.

  Thanks for the suggestion, but not necessary.  I had the problem solved, as I've mentioned in my previous post.

  Also noted there, I do not use MS Forums except as a last resort.  And sometimes I just give up instead of using the forums.

  Why?

  1. MS Server response time is slow cussedly too often.
  2. I have to look for answers, rather than simply through a condensed list, as you can with a newsgroup reader.

     The problem with research is, if I use the word 'bucket' and posters use the word 'bucket', in the subject line, I'll never find it.  But if I can easily scroll the list quickly, and I see the word 'bucket', I can't stop and open this message.

  3. The same messages show 2-3 times in the threaded view.
  4. Forums of waste server and user of the resources and bandwidth transmission system.  You always download the same Visual information such as graphics and ads over and over and over ad nauseam.
  5. Forums are for people who do not know how to use focus groups and companies like MS used to provide good documentation with their products.
  6. Connection time can take forever.

  All the above comments, to some extent, apply to all the forums that I have all been forced to use.

  If you select the download updates but let me choose... option, no update will install without your approval. Suppose an update will require a reboot and does not approve the installation of an update until & unless you are ready to restart.

  You can change the AU for the "updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting. Once you have done this, you will need to approve the updates are downloaded, the updates are installed and where they are installed.

  I prefer "check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting.

  Follow these methods.

  Method 1: Uninstall and reinstall the Adobe photo shop program.
