p6520f

My computer has a black screen with a blinking cursor.  Tried to restore using recovery disks and get to about 40% and then errors with: "Recovery Manager could not restore your computer by using the image of the factory - error code OxeOefOOOe.  I researched and found that I need a new recovery disk.  HP offers is no longer this disc for sale.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you're absolutely sure that you need a new set of Reocvery HP discs, they can be purchased from ComputerSurgeon.com - Set # BR347AV.

  • Pavilion P6520F: p6520f driver usb 3.0 pci card

To make a long story short, with assistance from HP Support Forum's, I've recently restored to my Pavilion P6520F leave an 'upgrade' forced Windows 10, back to Windows 7.  Unfortunately, when I accidentally upgraded to Win 10, my card usb 3.0 pci card decided to die in the transition (not compatible with Win 10).  I replaced the card with a PCI-E DEGOL Express USB 3.0 Card 4 Ports and power connector 4-pin 5V for desktop computers [ASIN: B01FUE7IS2].  The map loaded and worked like a champ... Until I started Windows 7.  Now Windows 7 can not find a driver for it, and provided driver disk will not load a driver for Windows 7.  I contacted the seller, and they assured me that the card must be compatible Windows 7.  Is there a generic driver online of these cards USB 3.0 can I load to bring back my new card?  Unfortunately, I threw the old card, if I can't relive the Degol map, I'll have to buy a new card.

    All advice appreciated!

    Hello

USB for Windows 7 drivers are the supplies made by the manufacturer of the card.

You must debug the problem if the DEGOL W7 driver does not load. Generally, you will see an error code in Device Manager for your USB card. This could give you some advice.

HP is not post drivers for third party material.

  • Pavilion P6520F: downgrade windows 10 for windows 7 hp pavilion p6520f

As a upgrade middle-of-the-night involuntary Windows 10 occurred, Can not stop random reboots every 20 to 45 minutes.  I give up.  I know that there is an opportunity (allegedly) to downgrade to Windows 7 in the first 30 days, but I wanted to make sure that no quirks to do with my fairly old machine.  I find Windows.old on my hard drive and my external hard drive.

Everyone does this on a Pavilion P6520F or equivalent and advice?

    Hello @marionhouse,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! The forums are a great place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I read your post about the issue of upgrade and wanted to help you!  I understand that the office restarts every 20-45 minutes, and you are looking to downgrade back to the Windows 7 operating system.

If you decide to stay with Windows 10, you can try to solve the problem of reset, by examining the following document:

HP computers - the computer restarts unexpectedly (Windows 7)

If you're still having problems, then you should be able to use back to a previous generation option, in your system settings: HP Notebook PC - upgrade to Windows 10

As you say, this feature is only available for the first 28 days after the installation of Windows 10.  Once you return to your original operating system, check to see if you encounter the same problem.

  • P6520f video card / graphics card

I have a p6520f that I think need a new video card or graphics card (is there a difference?).  Googling, I think that's the problem.  The screen does, not even in safe mode, but the problem is not the monitor because I tried a second monitor and two different cables, and all have the same problem.

Google search tells me that I need to replace the video card.

How I don't know what to buy?  I watched videos of youtube on how do to replace a graphics card and I think I can do it myself, I don't even know what iI have to order.

Oh, and my p6520f has an integrated graphics, according to the sticker on the side.

And if you can think of any other reason why I can not get display monitors, even in safe mode, please advise.

    Thank you

Becky, unfortunately it becomes more difficult to locate a video card that will work correctly with a 250W power supply.  I'll give you as much information as I can, so you can see what you can find.  You can use a card which is PCI Express x 16.  The most recent PCI Express x 16 (2.0) cards are backward compatible.  They will work with older PCIE systems.  You can check with the manufacturer of the cards to make sure they work with your power of 250W.  The card must not be longer than 9 "long.

  • integrated graphics p6520f dead

I'm servicing a p6520f in which the integrated graphics card died - nothing on the screen at all. Install a PCIe graphics card, which according to your forums, should have disabled onboard and I should get a display - except that I'm not, and although it is independent, none of the USB ports on the back panel not work either. Suggestions as to my next step?

    MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E)

    Here my questions:

    (1) what is the PCI Express version? Is 2.0 or 3.0?

    (2) I wanted to upgrade my graphics card for this model R939 8GD5 is possible?

    Thank you

This certainly isn't PCIe 3.0, but a card PCIe 3.0 will work in your motherboard. You will certainly need to upgrade at least 500W POWER supply because it is a 6 + 8 PCIe power connector pins required.  My preference is at least a power supply of 700 w for a game system. The original power supply in your PC doesn't have the PCIe power connector. Your PC case will accommodate an ATX PSU.

The installed processor is a version of 2009 and the motherboard has no usb 3.0.
