Packed graphics card

I have an AMD HP DV7 5b05ea graphics card intel i7.

When I turn it on, the entire load of good pilot, but after an hour, an error message is displayed to install the drivers for the graphics.

I reinstalled the recovery disks, but when I try to intall the drivers CD stuck in recovery mode.

I want to know if I have to buy a new graphics card, or is there another solution?

Help!

Hello goldlighter.

There is a possibility that something is wrong with this disc.  During the recovery process, we should be asked to insert the discs 'additional '.  It should also give you the opportunity to spend the supplmental disks.  Ignore these discs and try the following after the recovery process is finished and you are able to start Windows.

  1. Download and install the HP Software Framework.
  2. Download and install HP Support Assistant.
  3. Performance of HP Support Assistant.  This will search for and install the rest of the drivers/software for your laptop.
  4. Check that everything works as it should.
  5. Display the result.

If it does not the next step will be to try a second set of discs in order to narrow down the cause of the problem.  To get another set of disks, you should contact HP technical support.  If you are in the USA / Canada, the number is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are in another part of the world, you will need to take a look at the Support of HP worldwide to find contact information for your region.

Let me know the result of the solution above; I'll keep an eye out for your answer.  I wish you a nice day!

After installation of the new card in the PCI express and turn on the machine, does not start, screen goes black and the fans to run at top speed. The card and the machine starts fine with the ATI radeon 200 exprees edge. I went into Device Manager and disabled the ATI radeon 200 adapter, and the system still wouldn't start with the new card. Went into the Bios at startup and changed the setting of the adapter PCI E, the slot where I put the card, and still won't work, even with the Bios and Device Manager changes I made.

New card right out of the box, could be bad, or perhaps not compatible with my system? If is not compatible, what would you recommend? Currently I am running windows XP SP3 and am looking for a card that can be upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. I know that the ATI integrated graphics card cannot be upgraded, so I'd appreciate some advice really.

    Thank you.

  • Question about graphics cards for Equium L40 - 10 X

HI - new to this, but really cut so I hope someone can help me. !

I bought an Equium L40 - 10 X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and addressing the 'expert' at my local pcworld.

However, I think that the graphics card is good enough to support the games I got - Medal of honor Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a graphics card than nVidia as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel (r) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.

I have problems include the loss of graphics and stutter during playback.

Can I have a nVidia graphics card or is the that I've had enough but I just need to change some settings?

Really don't have an idea, so help would be much appreciated!

    Hello Dicker

You are shown how the customer can purchase the wrong product. It may be your fault or due to bad Advisory Service. L40 books are pretty cheap with the average material. This laptop is good for everyday work (Office Automation, writing letters and surfing) but certainly not for the complex graphics applications and games.

Sorry but there is not much to do. Only thing to do is to increase the RAM to the maximum, but forget the graphics card upgrade. Something like this is not possible.

    Good bye

    Hi there @LeoOfMars

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking to find out if a video card is compatible with your information system. I'm happy to help you with that.

The main reasons to be sure of are normally feeding you, special (to THE) cable power supply for the graphics card, on the motherboard compatible expansion slot, the drivers for your operating system, another thing to know is the physical size of the map, for moments of cases.

Looking at the specs of your system and the motherboard by default, I listed the type of slot of power and expansion.

HP Pavilion Elite e9180t Desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options

Output power of power: 460 Watt

HP and Compaq desktop PC - specifications of the motherboard, IPMTB-TK (Truckee)

Two graphics PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (for graphics cards)

Go to the video card you are looking at:

    GTX 780 3072 MB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 OC Custom cooled graphics card

    Input power: 1 x 8-pin auxiliary input aux input 1 x 6-pin
    Bus type: PCI-Express 3.0 16 x

    System requirements:
Mother compatible PCI Express with a slot of chart double-width x 16
Power 600W minimum (with a minimum of 12V current rating of 42A) 3
300 MB of available disk space
2 GB of memory system (4 GB or more recommended)
Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Operating System (32 or 64-bit)
DVD-ROM drive or Internet connection for installation
DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA compatible monitor

So on a quick inspection of both devices there are three problems, so this card will not work on your motherboard or with the current power.

    I hope this helps.

I tried manually. When I look in the. INFs installation Pack, (C7113756.inf, which is located at: packages/drivers/display/W76A_INF) no HD Radeon 6320 is listed. Only HD 6330 M or 6310 and other. At Toshiba listed display drivers wrong on the download page for this laptop?

    Please help me!

    THX

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with preinstalled Win7 64 bit Edition home premium so if the graphics card is not installed correctly, I assume that you have installed the version of the OS, right?
I just hope that you have created the drive recovery before you ve done this.

In any case, the right display driver you can find HERE.

Unpack the content in itself created folder and double-click setup.exe. This will start the installation of the driver.

    Test again and send feedback.

  • Unable to start with a new graphics card

Recently, I upgraded my old 550ti GTX with a new Radeon HD 7850 from powercolor.  After I installed the new card, there is no display, and there is no position, so I don't think it's even starting up.

The old GTX has worked very well, so the pci slot is ok.  The GTX 550ti uses a 6-pin connector for the power supply, so I think that the power supply is too thin.   I uninstalled all the drivers from nvidia and tried to install the new card.  No boot.  The integrated vga works, so the cable is fine.

Powercolor's website States, "mainboard not able to detect bios graphics properly during boot UEFI" and recommends an update of the bios. Referenced from this link (http://www.powercolor.com/us/support_faq.asp)

UPDATE! I am very (very) pleased to report that this problem has been resolved.  After building my courage (and saying a quick prayer), I decided to use the update of the Bios that is only for windows 8 on my Board.  And success!

After updating the Bios, which is only like 2 minutes to complete, my PC runs the card powercolor!  In the end, a bios update was indeed necessary, and I accomplished successfully.

Caveat! If you have the same problem, I still recommend that a bios update is a last resort.  I could have just gotten lucky, do what I did to your own attention.

Now, in closing, I have a few questions.   Why this update was so hard to find?  Personally, I used an update of the bios on my desktop PC p7-1240 with the Jasmine MSI Ms 7778.  If it worked, why is he not on the page to update my PC?  Why the documentation says clearly that the operating system must be windows 8, when in fact it is false.   I am running windows 7, and the update worked.

My new update of the bios supports processors AMD of Richland?  Before I bought the graphics card, I bought a new Athlon II X 4 760 K Black Edition, but had to return it. Even if the chipset supports all sockets of FM2, the bios is not.

I can't believe that I am the first and perhaps the only person to try this solution.

Thanks for all the tips.  This problem is solved.

  • Vista on Satellite L300D-10 a - Graphics card reset after renstallation

    This is my story.
A few weeks ago my computer went down, so I decided to reinstall Vista (Home Premium). After I did, I noticed that many things had changed. For example, my screensaver no longer works, and some programs said that they needed to support 3D wih video card. I knew I had a video card with 3d support, as these programs worked well before the renstallation.

Then I looked around on the web, and I found more messages from people having the same problem, so I looked if I had an installation disc to the last video player for my graphics card, but I have no one. So, now, I'm asking if anyone knows where I can get the latest version, so I can continue to use these programs.

    Hello

Please don't get me wrong, but the whole story is somewhat strange.
Fact is that every Toshiba laptop comes with factory State. Your computer laptop too and after the first start you got by default settings of Toshiba. What you did later, no one knows. Maybe you have installed some additional software and the third party. Who knows?

Now after the clean operating system installation you have these settings to factory again and absolutely identical State after purchase and first start. This along with the screen saver is strange, but it should work (Windows screensaver).
Configuration of the software of your laptop is not known to us and it is not easy to say what you're exactly missing.

    BIOS to Version 7.18

    Running:
    Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit w/service pack 1
Two monitors (VGA, 1 digital port 1)

Before installing the new graphics card, I replaced the power supply original 300w with a 400w power supply.

For starters, I disabled the onboard graphics in Device Manager. Then, I opened the case and installed the GT-740 in the open PCI Express slot. I made sure that the card was fully engaged in the slot.

I plugged both monitors to their connections voted on the new map.

When I tried to boot the PC, the digital monitor displays the screen HP (the one that indicates which key support to achieve the start menu) and then frozen. No other entries of key or mouse have been accepted.

The PC then sounds 4 short beeps (about 10 seconds between each beep) and then a long beep before turning off the signal to the screen.

Then, I removed the new graphics card on the PC that starts then. I have reactivated the original graphics drivers and the PC then worked normally.

Tried the above process two more times with the same results.

I then went into the start menu to look at the BIOS. The menu of the BIOS shows two options:

    > Sources of boot UEFI

    Windows Boot Manager

    > Sources of boot legacy

    SATA2

    Hard drive

    SATA0

Network controller (Realtek PXE B06 D00)

PC using UEFI Boot Manager Windows boots normally

I have not tried Legacy Boot Sources because I don't know which one to choose.

I went to the HP site and looked for an update to the newest BIOS, but updating them is a rev version 7.16 while my PC shows my BIOS to version 7.18

I know that others have had a similar problem but I have not seen a solution that works for my PC.

    Any advice would be welcome.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Your PC isn't spec'd to run Windows 7 using the Windows Boot Manager.  I expect to a UEFI-based graphics card likely to work on an HP PC that does not have a BIOS version 8.

The below listed OEM HP, graphics cards should work in your PC using a normal non - UEFI W7 and W8 installation.

No there is no way to upgrade the video card. She is soldered directly to the motherboard. Your motherboard is the highest and best for the dv6-6xxx series, so there is no improvement even if you would swap motherboards. I'm sorry.

Hello, I was just wondering if my a 970 GTX a 1080 GTX graphics card upgrade could result in the cancellation of my 160se-860 care pack. If the warranty is not void, is that what I need to know about upgrading a graphics card; relating to the function "Secure Boot" of HP products. I was also wondering if the standard 500W PSU can handle the 1080. The basis of my PC specs are an i7 - 5930K; GTX 970; 4 x 8 GB Samsung 2133 MHz. thanks in advance!

  • Games slow to load after update graphics card.

I have a Compaq presario sr5123wm. Running Vista service pack 2. Had trouble with him, stopping or freezing while playing games or or using the internet, it seened to do more if I tried to do more than one thing at a time. So I changed the graphics card Radeon HD 4550 and the power of 400 watts. I have also cleaned the inside, ran Norton scans and down the updates. This seemed to fix the lock ups. Now when I try to load the sims 2 it no longer responds and when I try to play world of Warcraft it loads very slowly. any suggestions?

When you put you bump the memory to 4 GB?

    Best regards
    ERICO
