Page loaded in wrong tab

I use KUbuntu 14.04 (Linux 3.13.0 - 24-generic, KDE SC Version 4.12.97, KDELibs version 4.13.0, Qt version 4.8.6, 64-bit) and 29,0 FF.
Steps to reproduce:
(1) open the new tab
(2) type a URL (for example google.com) and press enter
(3) while the URL switch to another tab (for example with a wikipedia article).

I expect that google will be loaded in the tab open on step 1 and wikipedia will be open where he was.
But in fact I googled loaded in the tab opened in step 1 AND the tab where wikipedia has been opened (active tab).

There are several ways to get open page in the wrong tab, but this one is more simple.

I had the same problem before I upgraded FF 29,0 (I don't remember which version it has been), but I never had the problem on Win7 with FF 28-29, WinXP with 29 FF (don't know who exactly, I was on the aurora channel and stopped using it three weeks about that I've migrated to Linux), MacOS with FF 28-29 and Win8 with FF28.
I have also this problem on my other linux-pc (also KUbuntu 14.04 with FF28) makes me think that there is a kind of framework, whix is ch, I can not find.

ATER using sync I have several plugins that could affect somehow FF, but the problem was there before I installed plug-ins and did not happen on Different machines with the same set of plugins.

I would be very happy if someone will help me to solve this problem, because it's pretty boring.

  • If I would have all tabs open in my browser page load stop Web is their a shortcut key that will allow this?

If I open too many pages of favorites in tabs in my browser going to hang and then sometimes crash or close unexpectedly.
If I show the Task Manager or use the Alt + Tab keys I can access the window and right-click and choose restore to allow me to see the window again. This must be done if I load more than 10 pages at a time. Is it possible to prevent the loading of all open tabs and then choose what tabs I currently work with to load the Web page? I would like to know how to use a keyboard on my keyboard shortcut to select all tabs as ctrl + A does not work and then to escape or another key tells to stop pages from loading in each tab as with all ads, gifs, videos, and internet spam guard more is too much of a strain to have multiple Web pages open in tabs of the browser.

I use Win XP SP2 and I look forward a solution as this has been a problem with previous versions of Firefox, but IE couldn't have about 3 tabs open and then would fail, that's why I stick with Firefox as my browser of choice.

Have a method in the managed bean that is called when the page is loaded and set the tab disclosed.

Here is a sample based on your use cases:

    PanelTabbed.jspx:

  • FF will no pages load and I have to stop and restart so that it works if I leave it alone for a while.

If I work online and leave for a few hours and then go back and go open a new tab or even reload an existing tab or go to a new Web site using an already open tab, the only thing I get is the "circle of rotation of the dead." Then I have to exit out of FF. Then when I go to reopen FF, I get a window that says that FF is always open, even if it's not and I want to stop it, so I click Yes. While I am able to open FF, but always get a message that says that my user profile could not be loaded properly, so I click on that and reopen again. Then it finally opens and I am able to work fairly well until the same problem recur.

I don't really know what has changed, but I never had this problem, I could let FF open days and come back and then open a new tab well and start working again.

  • CTRL T does not load a new tab

When I use Ctrl-T or click on the + tab, I get an error. The address bar has the addresses of all the tabs loaded in common and of course, fails. This occurs in the user account from my work, but not in the Admin or a new Test user account. Also, if I go to IE11, the same thing happens. He tries to load all the FF tabs at once! IE10 is ok.

I tried all the basics, including several virus and malware analysis using 3 different products, full refresh of FF and reinstall ff. I don't want to reinstall the operating system, unless absolutely necessary.

    OS: Win 7 64-bit Ultimate. 12 G Ram, SSD 250G.

    Thank you

Seems that you have set your (many) home pages, separated by a vertical bar (|) in the new tab page and who works for the home page, not the new tab page.
You can check the browser.newtab.url pref on the topic: config page.

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

  • Cursor guard set to zero at the beginning of the address bar if the page loads

    Hello

I have a boring (and weird) problem with Firefox: whenever I type in the address bar, the cursor will constantly reset to the beginning of the address bar. This only happens if another page load currently.

By example, if I try to type in something like google.com it will tend to come out as le.comgoog, but only if I opened recently a few links and they always load the Web page. Therefore, it is very difficult to open a Web page if another load.

This also occurs on the Favorites bar, because if I open a folder, it will close randomly (which makes it quite difficult to open another site), but only in the same circumstances.

The problem seems to worsen the tabs more are loading - if it's just one I might reset after 5 seconds (or almost) but if I just open a folder of 10 bookmarks then google.com eventually became moc.elgoog because it is so often set to zero.

    Thank you!

You can start Firefox - safe-mode to check if your problem is caused by an extension or theme (try the default theme).
If from work safe mode then disable your extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions or use the option in the window of safe mode) and re-enable one by one until you find the one that is the cause.
Close and restart Firefox after each change.

  • [Solved] Clicking on a tab on the bar tab selects the wrong tab.

    Firefox 34.0.5 running
Sometimes, but not always, by clicking on the tab bar opens the wrong tab.
Rather than open the tab is selected, it will open a tab completely to the left, in the corresponding position, rather than the tab I have click on.

For example, this image shows the tab I click on.
    http://PUU.sh/eAfsP/7ddac08d41.PNG

And this picture shows the tab firefox passes instead.
    http://PUU.sh/eAg4Z/2b4f441564.PNG

Note that it has instead moved to the left end of the tab list.

It may be interesting to note that my firefox is running with about 300 individual pills, of which about 30 are loaded at any point and time. However, please do not attribute the problem to the count tab without reason, because this question has ever taken place in all previous versions of Firefox.

[Solved] There was a conflict with an extension that appears to have been resolved.

Thanks for your help the-edmeister, I found the cause of the problem, it turns out to be an extension of the buggy, called Classic theme restaurateur 1.2.8.2.

It has been used to go back to an older version of the firefox theme, and unfortunately, it seems that bugs have been introduced as it became obsolete after several versions of Firefox.

  • I tried everything suggested to get rid of the search page "open a new tab".

I just bought a new computer with Windows7. I downloaded and installed Firefox 18.0.1 a week ago.
I try to get the historical icon page to open when I click on "open a new tab".
Some of the things I've tried (as reset Firefox and install the add-on) worked but only until I stop.
When I load Firefox again, this pesky search page ("open a new tab") is back.
How can I get the icon history page to remain permanently on the day the day?

If your manual changes don't "stick" after a restart of the browser, please look out for suspicious extensions (such as 3 rd-party-toolbars or of things that you have not intentionally installed) currently installed under firefox/tools > addons > extensions or section of windows control panel programs and remove these entries.

in the case, it does not resolve the issue please, try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "view folder", then a new window will open. in this search on a file named user.js window (it can be used to overwrite your custom settings). where it is present, delete or rename this file and then restart firefox.
