Palm Centro / 64 bit Windows Vista

Everyone figured out how to sync music to a Palm Centro using Windows Vista 64-bit?  My understanding is that there is not a USB for Vista 64 driver.  I can already my Centro Bluetooth HotSync, which works (although slow) but cannot sync music and like anyone with a Centro knows, it is inconvenient to remove the memory cards.

Even if there is a way to sync music files to your center of the Vista desktop, music files tend to be large and take a long time to synchronize.  The best way to put music files on your card with any OS is drag & made slide/audio selecting folder on your card with a card reader.  Suppression of the Centro SD micro card isn't all the * who * inconvenient.  Is not like you need to do it very often.

  • 32-bit Windows Vista is installed on the Satellite A210 - 10 c 64-bit processor

    Hello

    I bought satellite a210 - 10 c with amd turion 64 X 2 processor, but I determined that I have * 32-bit * windows vista preinstalled. Does anyone know why?
Could I get the 64 bit instead of 32 bit version?

    > have 32-bit windows vista preinstalled. Does anyone know why?

May be due to the fact that all supplied laptops computers Toshiba have pre-installed 32-bit OS.
It s is not serious if it s Windows XP or Win Vista. The two operating systems installed on Toshiba laptops are 32-bit!

    > Could I get the 64 bit instead of 32 bit version?

You can buy a 64 bit Microsoft OS, but you won't get an OS 64 - bit of the Toshiba.

    Hello forum,.

I'm using labview 2010 (32-bit) on a 64 - bit windows vista system (Yes, I didn't improve my labview soon) and I have an AVT pike f023b camera connected via a firewire 1394b port.

Before, on a system 32-bit, I could acquire using 800mbps buspackage AVT, but it does not work with 64 bit systems.

does anyone know how to get 800mbps with Pike camera using labview?

    Thank you.

    Veritas

If you are using a 3 rd-party with IMAQdx bus driver (no doubt so things like 800 operation will work under Vista), you must contact that provider to see if they have a 64-bit version available. Otherwise IMAQdx will use native drivers in the OS provided for the bus interface. The drivers provided by the OS does not support 800 on Vista, but they do on Windows 7.

  • We tried to upgrade our 32-bit windows vista system to Windows 7 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

We tried to upgrade our system to 32-bit windows vista to windows 7 32 bit and find no right answer to what we have to do to upgrade to windows vista 32. So far, our experience is our head is ROTATING and can someone help us?

First of all, make sure that your PC meets the requirements of Windows 7 - system Windows help

You can buy Windows 7 from one of the major retailers who still like mainline, new egg, or Tiger Direct - Amazon but none is smaller that that if you want to be sure to get the real and not renovated or eBay!  If in doubt ask here before you buy, read the comments of the sales page for the experience of others.

Once you have the disc, put it in the drive to make an update install with Windows 7 .  If you have a Vista factory install I would firstly follow these same steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware that will optimize for a better upgrade.

If this facility is not satisfactory, then do the vastly superior clean reinstall Windows 7

How upgrade 64-bit Windows Vista to Windows 7?

    Hello

    Microsoft sells more than 7.

You need to look on Amazon.com, etc..

Follow these steps before installing Windows 7:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Check if your specifications are compatible for Windows 7:

I accidentally deleted the directory "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft ' my 64 bit Windows Vista system.  How can I get it back?

    original title: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft

    You can try this program:

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva/

Use the deep Scan option. It may take some time.

The System File Checker can repair some of the files in there, but probably not all.

It's probably at least some of the files that have been overwritten. so I would say the the more safe thing to do is to reinstall Windows.

  • Palm Centro Bluetooth Sync with Vista 64-bit

I just got a Palm Centro and went throughout the configuration both the Palm Centro and the PC to see each other.  I created a (COM5) virtual COM port and chose this port as my connection series.

That's when he stops working.  By pressing the button on the Centro HotSync gives me the following error...

Cannot start the HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application.

This port has been created, how can it be used?

    Thank you, John

Well, I found a solution.  After pairing between the phone and the PC and affect the virtual port, you must restart the computer.  Once I rebooted, the port was available and hot sync phone would be.

    Thank you, JOhn

  • Palm TX 32 bit Windows 7 Pro of XP Update: use XP mode? Or Win 7?

I'm really good at making fatal mistakes with technology and my Palm is too critical to risk, so I bought a portable 32-bit, Windows 7 pro and XP mode installed.

I've scoured the forums, but all I can find are problems/solutions with 64 bit (which is what scares me in the first place, of course).

First of all, I should install in XP mode?  Or install Win 7 on a 32-bit computer will go smoothly?

Secondly, can I use my original disc with the 4.2 version of Palm Desktop?

Finally, for my peace of mind, you kindly check my checklist of errors, omissions or dangerous areas.

    (1) synch the device from Palm desktop

    (2) backup on my SDCard with NVBackup

    (3) open the XP mode - or do not open XP mode as you recommend

    (4) install Palm desktop (disc or download that recommend)

    (5) enter the same username as on the device / xp computers

    (6) change in Organizer substitute Office

    (7) with the sync cable. Make tea. Be calm.

    (8) check data on handheld and the desktop to find errors.

    (9) when somewhat confident everything goes well, return led to synchronize except for stays of backup as handheld overrides desktop. (not sure why, but it's the default I guess.)

    Thank you

    Off the hook

    SUCCESS!

Thank you all very much. I danced around the kitchen.

I had a few problems, and that means a question.

After installation I plugged the cable in and upward jumped a box "Installing the driver software" telling me "software device driver was not installed successfully. I thought it was over, and that's my question. What does that mean? Because the next thing that happened, thought I had nothing to lose but hope, I tried a synch, and incredibly, it worked. I made a small change in the calendar and it synchronized at the back of the unit.

He also tells me there is a problem with the quick installation then took me to do nothing.

In addition, in case it might help someone, disable UAC in Win7 is slightly different from that of Vista. Go to "edit your user account settings" and set the cursor to "Don't warn.  At this time, I went on the internet for security. And it's a little annoying, because after that you have to restart the computer. And when HotSync is done, you go back to the control panel and restart and then restart.

WyreNut, I smiled when I saw your post.  I always assumes that the volunteers on the technology forums (which, in a just world, would be paid buckets of moolah for their help) are early and that you would be all Win8 (and the curse, I suppose). But I guess that help you here because if something works (such as Palm) why spend.

I kudo has you all and would buy you champagne if I could.

    Confused, but less.

  • Windows 7 32-bit Windows Vista

    Hello everyone

I have a Satellite A500 - 15M, with a Windows 7 32 bit running on which has been upgraded from Windows Vista 32 - bit by Upgrade DVD from Toshiba sent me in January.

I need to have my Windows 7 64 bit instead of 32 bit. I searched the internet on it, and I discovered that I can't do that unless I have a new copy of Windows, but the only disks I have are the Windows Vista RECOVERY DVD and the DVD of Windows 7 upgrade.

Is it possible to get a new copy of Windows Vista 64-bit of my restore DVD, and then upgrade to Windows 7? Or do I need a DVD of 64-Bit Windows?

    I really appreciate your cooperation.

    Kind regards
    ALA'

    Hello

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with Vista 32 bit and 64-bit dual boot.
If you have created recovery disks it will be interesting to know how many DVDs to disc you have.

For example, on my Satellite A500-157 I have 4 DVD discs. In other words, I have a recovery disc for 32 and 64 bit Vista. When you start the first DVD, you will be asked which version you want to install.
Please check if it works also with your recovery discs.

If you have this option install Vista 64-bit on your laptop and use subsequently updated DVD and try to upgrade to Win7 64-bit.

If please test and let me know if it works for you.
Based on your response, we will seek the next solution for you.

  • Exe in 32-bit Windows XP works only not in 64-bit, Windows Vista

Use the demo version of LabVIEW 8.6 since internet downloaded and Windows XP 32 bit OS. I have developed an application and creates an exe file which communicates with a card reader to USB chip. This exe file works fine with this USB device in Windows XP 32 bit OS.

But when I used this application exe on Windows XP 64-bit OS and also in Windows Vista 64-bit OS, the application does not work. Communication with the USB smart card reader is not at all to establish. The USB device will be appropriate driver 32-bit and 64 - bit automatically when updating on various operating systems.

How to solve this problem? I have to install all the drivers 64-bit for LabVIEW?

    Thank you

    Mathan

Its often the simple thing miss us

In fact, my application developed in WinXP, took always dll to the folder "data" and not the c:\windows\system32 folder. In Winscard.dll of Vista is different from the one in the WinXP. That makes the difference. The application now works when I manually copied the directory system32 under WinVista winscard.dll in the folder "data" application.

Is anyway to do this without copying? This means, that I need the application to load the dll into the system32 instead of the folder directory "data"? I hope that I was clear?

    Thank you

  • 64-bit Windows vista hangs after you run the update

    Hello

Last night I ran the update of windows on my 64 bit vista laptop, he said there are 2 updates important (I don't remember what they were) and 1 optional (for security essentials).  I chose to install them all, let run updates, restarted the computer when he was asked and then pinned the problem.  Windows starts up nicely, all my startup apps pop up like normal (things like security basics, steam, etc.) and, if I don't touch it, it looks fine.  Sometimes I can get as opening firefox, sometimes just moving my mouse t - it, but the computer just hangs.  I can still move my mouse (sometimes it turns in a circle, as the computer working on something) but I can't click on anything whatsoever, cannot Ctrl + alt + delete... my only way of l ' down made a difficult start.

I tried to use the tool of the previous version to roll back to before the update, the Wizard works well and said completing, but I still have the same question.  If I'm in safe mode or safe mode with networking, it works fine. I even tried to delete pending.xml to see if it was an update stuck but who did not (cmd said that there was no pending.xml found to remove)

Anyone know what this might be or how to fix it?  I'm fresh out of ideas

    Hello

Given that everything works well in safe mode which makes them a third-party application causes the computer to freeze.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.
Here are the steps to do:
    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    The user account control permission.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
    password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    8. in addition, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software problem on your computer.
Reset the computer to start as usual
    9. When you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
    10. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    11. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
