Palm Pixi Plus O2 given

My Palm Pixi Plus guard internet connection and it cost me an amount of data costs high, is anyway that I can stop doing that?

Kind regards

Hello!

I don't belive that O2 SIMs doesn't lock it so in you phone app, press the O2 on the very top-left and select Preferences.  Scroll down to the use of data and put it out of service.  Close the card Ant that should do.   This option varies since some SIM cards will be blocking the ability to touch the data settings.

Duly note that disableing data mean you Pixi can no longer save itself round so this back on successive or use wifi when can at least.

  • Palm Pre Plus vs Palm Pre Plus black

    Hello!

I'm considering buying a Palm Pre Plus with Verizon service.  I've also seen a Palm Pre Plus Black.  Anyone know what's the difference between the two?  If there is a difference, which one is better?

    Thanks for your help.

Hello Mindy and welcome on the fourms Palm.

I'm not sure that there is a difference.  All Palm Pre and Pixi phones come in only one color: black.

  • Using Palm Pre Plus on Verizon without data plan?

    Hello people,

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to use a Palm Pre Plus on Verizon without data plan.

Right now I have six years old phone clamshell and an iPod touch in my pocket, and I'm looking to consolidate. In addition, locked position of Apple don't gives me the warm shudder blur. WebOS from Palm running on the emulator gives me the warm fuzzies.

Research on the issue with Google, I saw other people ask the question at the time was the Sprint Pre only. Apparently the Sprint did not yet allow activation of the phone without a data plan. In addition, the question of whether the palm profile account can be installed over wifi there.

I also met photos showing that WebOS 1.2 would have a toggle to disable the use of the map data.

So people, you guys what do you think? Is it possible that this is possible? Thank you!

I suggest you look at www.precentral.net work is around like this. It is outside my area of support, but I'm sure you can find what you need there message board.

  • Help free a Palm pre Plus from AT & T!

    Hello

I am new to the forum and also how a phone is currently open.

I just got my Palm Pre Plus new bought at AT & T USA with our commitment, it now turns out, it is locked and there are new without any profile.

As I live in Thailand where the phone will be used with a local SIM card and a map.

I tried via Nextgen server to unlock the phone with the success, so I need some help now.

Been able to boot into recovery mode and run webOS doctor.

Now the problem is how do I run the bypass activation tool?

If I put my local SIM the phone net work pin code request, which, I think I should get through the Nextgen Server tool?

Hope someone can guide me step by step.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi fats,

Welcome to the Palm Forums! Then, because you bought an ATT phone, it is locked to ATT. At this point, you have 2 choices. You can call ATT and get the unlock code (which they will give you as long you don't owe them any $$$) or return the phone and purchase a phone unlocked live HP/Palm.

Regardless of the method you choose, you should be able to use your local SIM card.

  • Palm Pixi touchscreen has stopped working.

I had my Palm Pixi for about 1 week I received a text made a friend and then 10 minutes later, I got in all the phone, I tried to unlock the phone to see if I had messages and touch screen did not work, I tried to take out the battery and restarted. I tried to plug it into a usb port and it does not work even then. Help?

Here's what to do. It worked for me. Hold the Palm Pixi more the phone near a picture tube tv (not LCD, but the old tube tv), then turn the TV off. Repeat this couple times. Then try the pixi more screen. If you don't have a tube tv (like me), don't worry. I had a thin cover giving me static all the time. I rubbed covering the couple bed of time (so that it is State) and then hit the pixi screen. Repeated twice and it worked.

If it doesn't, he has nothing to lose. But if it works then good for you. It was not my idea, but I found it on the internet.

  • Charger Palm Pre Plus for AT & T

    Nice day

I'm about to GET a & AT T Palm Pre Plus (P ^ 3). However, I don't live in the United States. It seems that I get the activation and unlocking installs pretty easily, but I am curious about the charger. I will also use the touchstone charger.

It is the image of the charger that comes with the Pre.

I see that it uses the A-type connector to the United States. Where I live, we use the British type g plug (in fact, all the technical features are identical to the British Standard).

So the more important question is, assuming I can get a form of adaptation, it will work with the sockets 230V here? As in, are they auto detection and can switch from 110V to 230V?

I know also, Palm has an international charger but if she is able to switch, might as well use a simple adapter.

    Thank you.

Looking at the map in my hand, it says clearly, ' input: 120-240 / 50-60 Hz.

Looks like you'll be good to go with a physical card!

  • Palm Pixie handsfree

I bought a palm pixie. I love. But I have a question for hands-free. Use hands free, or I have to use the blue tooth my phone? My other phones always accompany a handfree device. One that you plug into the phone. The Palm Pixie uses the same system and if so where you plug the unit in to.? Thank you

The hole at the top of the Pre is where you connect a generic headset if you want to listen to music.  If you connect the headset I linked, you can listen to music and use the microphone for hands free calls online.  (Voice is picked up by the microphone online and the Atria emits the voice).

  • Palm Pixi with Verizon = no ringtones?

I have a Pixi with Verizon. I tried to buy ringtones using the Verizon Internet site even as I always did. But after that I bought a the message met the rington was abolished and that my phone does not support happy purchaseing copyrighted. All other Verizon phones, I have had my own ringtones. I'm really starting not to like this phone.

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!

I'm really sorry to hear about your problem. You should not have problems to download ringtones from Verizon, but if you are, I recommend contacting Verizon. The reason why I say that is because they manage the site in which you download from. They may be able to shed more light on why you have this problem with the Pixi.

HOWEVER, I have a really, really, really tip I would share with you.

    Create a new ringtone

To create new ringtones, you must first move audio files in a format supported (MP3, AAC, AAC +, AMR, QCELP and WAV) from your computer to your phone. All MP3 files you already have on your phone (for example, files downloaded from Amazon MP3) can be used as ringtones, as long as the files are in the folder ringtones on your phone. To find the ringtones folder, open the Launcher, tap sounds, ringtones.

Move audio files to your phone by doing one of the following:

    • With your phone in USB Drive mode, add audio files to the folder ringtone on your phone.

I hope this information is useful.

I need to cut off the internet on my phone, so I don't get automatic updates etc. As 02 keep me charge to go on the internet when I'm not. He wasted a lot of my credit already how to stop this from happening. I need answers asap!

When you open the telephone keypad to make a call, it's the phone app. Tap on the top left of the screen to the menu of this application. Under network, you can enable the use of data on and outside.

  • Palm Pixi (Sprint) problems

I tried to get on Live Chat, but it seems to be declining.  I'll try to be brief and detailed.

I got a Pixi just over a week.  From the word go it seemed really slow.  When I press on an application, the lighted icon is sitting there for at least 3 seconds and then the app delay following charge.  If I have 2 loading apps it gets almost insensitive.  I restored the Pixi with webOS Doctor and the problem still persists.

This sounds like a hardware problem?  Is there anything else I can do to isolate S/W or H/W?

What accounts you have synchronized with the pixi? (google, facebook, yahoo, Exchange, etc.) ? I would start all first remove those if you had several to see if its related to one of them.

  • The Palm Pixi does not support mobile banking BOFA? If not, is there a time frame on when or if it will be?

  • Two weeks in the palm pre plus - questions and opinions for 10 years 'lover palm.

I HAD PALM PHONES FOR 10 YEARS... I see some stupid missing links in this new version...

    1. to speed up the dial I have to turn on the phone, unlock the phone, open the contact, person of goto, open the keyboard, reduce the size of the entry, press and hold enter speed dial, and the phone will dial the person... Am I missing something, or is this a ridiculous ritual, compared to the old way? It is faster to just dial the phone yourself, isn't it!

    2. no 'list view' in 'Notepad '... I have 100 entries with multiple keywords. No display of the list isn't good...

    3. contacts - if you have 4 different "doctors" in the contacts and don't remember all the names, without an access point 'Search', you're in trouble.

4 calendar - whenever you make an entry, you must remove the default set 'alarm '... What is with that?  If you want to set an alarm, set one - don't eliminate it whenever I do an entry...

    5. Calendar - not 'look' ap?

6 calendar - what is the purpose of the event 'place' - If you want to enter a location, enter his name - I don't know why it had to be put there as a permanent entry?

I would be grateful some input or opinions of others!

Yes Yes - keyword in the company - I have 5 jobs handymen - I just put the handyman in the 'company' and each came with the use of the keyboard - good replacement and a good idea - thank you thank you

  • Questions-speaker of Pixi Plus sound is NOT blown

I had my pixi more for about a month, I have insurance through ATT but don't want to deal with it unless it is completely necessary. I have problems with the sound on my phone. The speaker is not blown because when my alarm goes off or someone calls/texts me, the sound comes out fine. However, when I put my ringtone or ringtone my sound and I try to listen to the ringtone that is downloaded or one that came on the phone, it will not play. The status bar is moving, so is to show that the phone is read the ringtone, but no sound is output from the speakers.

Help, please! ATT can be so complicated, I really don't want to have to use my insurance and return it to us for a new!

I have two options.  1) there are separate volume settings for 'media' (music player, etc.) and the volume of the ringer.  Oddly enough, when you are in the application sounds and ringtones and you tap a ringtone to listen to it, the setting of the 'media' volume is in control.  Try to adjust the volume with the volume up button while listening to the ringing.  You should see the volume bars with notes of music next to them.

    (2) there may be debris in the headphone connection.  try to insert and remove the headphone jack several times.  Although I've seen this cause issues while on a call, I'm not sure if it affects the volume of the ringtone in the application sounds and ringtones.

It would be great if you could post again with the results.
