• Palm Treo 700 p phone replacement - how to migrate some applications/data/e-mail?

  Hi all

  The earpiece on my Treo 700 p has stopped working and Verizon has agreeded to replace the phone.  Unfortuantely, I have of many e-mails, texts, contacts, applications, etc. that I would like to transfer via.   I understood how to migrate my texts and call in the log (via the TreoDesktop 3rd party software), but how can I move everything else (i.e. the versamail email, applications, etc.).  I am a member of the Palm backup beta, but do not know if that would cover everything I want.

  In addition, I have the possibility of having two phones at the same time to make the data migration.  I have to back up, clean the phone, Exchange it for a replacement, then reload all existing data out there.

  Can someone help me with suggestions on how to make the migration of data/backup?

  If you move to an identical device HW-wise, the simplest solution is to make a backup to SD card (NVBackup is the excellent freeware solution).

  When you receive your new device, pop in the SD card, run NVBackup from SD card and restore.

  Type in the upper left corner of the home screen for the menus. You should get 'App' and 'Option '.  On the list of applications, you should see delete, transmit, send, etc. Press DELETE. This should bring up the apps on the HH. Locate the application you want to remove, then press it to select the application, and then press delete at the bottom of the screen. This will remove the app you want to delete.

  Try this and see if it will work.

  One way is to use Card Export www.softick.com .  There are freeware alternatives, but I don't know.

• Impossible to eReader on Palm Treo 700 p

  I downloaded the new version of eReader to my computer.  When I tried to hotsync software, it won't let me save the software on my handheld.  Instead, I have to save to my expansion card.  Then hotsync when completed, I got an error about the hotsync on my card.  I need to remove the old version of ereader that is on my Treo before I can synchronize to the top of the new version?

  Download the software directly on my Treo using the internet on your handheld?  Or I need to hotsync it toward the top of my computer?

  What format is the downloaded file?  It is a compressed (.zip) file?

  I do not understand why you can not install the program on your phone - only reason to force a file on the card is if it is not a prc or pdb file.

  Make sure that you have unpacked the file, if it is a zip or exe file.

• Calendar Sync worked by a times bad on my Treo 700 p.

  I had to do a hard reset on my Palm Treo 700 p and after resynchronization to my desktop with MS Outlook, it put all my appointments in calendar one hour sooner than they are supposed to be a comment in brackets indicating (12 pm PDT). If alarms are turned off! Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!

  Can someone tell me if and how to change the carrier on a Sprint Treo 700 p and/or a Sprint 650?  I'll keep them if I can change my T-Mobile or Verizon.  (I have been informed that Metro PCS cannot work with them.)

  Hello.. Welcome to the forums of Palm.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to do.   Sprint uses an evdo network and tmobile uses a gsm network, which is totally different.  The devices you have were built, on the reverse, for the sprint.  To move tmobile, you will need to buy a new device.

• Problems with phone Palm Treo 680

  I have a Palm Treo 680.

  I receive and make calls, it connects, but the audio does not work: I can't hear or speak.

  When I plug in the headphones, I am able to hear, but not speak.

  It seems that something related to Audio, since when I tried to play a piece with Pocket Tunes, I could listen for a minute, make a short call (and speak!) and then it worked again.

  Tried everything up to the hard reset.

• Palm Treo 850 text timestamp update for sprint

  Hello!

  I have a Palm Treo Pro 850 running WM 6.1 has been used for several years now and love it. It has recently crashed and I had to do a full memory cleaning. Well, it has been returned to factory settings and now I'm reloading software that is no longer available on the Sprint Palm site: http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb/na/treo/t850/sprint/solutions/article/8604_en.html

  In particular, I'm actually load the driver software for the delivery of text messages timestamp.  If someone has this file and that you wouldn't mind Sending me (or otherwise, direct me to it), I would be very happy!

  Have you used a gps Utility (like 'GPS Test' or 'latest coordinates GPS') to look at how many satellites were in sight? (or opportunity)

  Have you tested the GPS feature outside under the open sky or inside a building.

  So I found a palm treo 300 in a thrift store and bought for like $ 7. After popping open the case and hanging on to an old charger electric razor, got to work.   I recently bought am and portable 300U unable to hotsync over Bluetooth with my Treo 650.
  I can transfer files between them with Bluetooth but I can't get them to Hotsync otherwise than by serial USB cable.
  I checked the 'How To' Toshiba which were for generic Tosh PC and PDA Palm T3 especially regarding the com port and transfer speed 7 but without result.

  When the hotsync/communication process starts the phone tells me to add my phone to the list of secure... devices then to check my settings!

  Seems that there is some security restrictions. The Treo 650 is not known to me, but I recommend to check the ActivSync security options and add the Palm Treo 6 the list of secure devices.

  receiver GPS of Nav4All seems to be a normal Bluetooth device, so it should work.
