  Thanks for the reply, expecting not one, but what you say is all that we need to buy another printer if we did all the "fixes", etc... etc. you know that take a printer to a repair shop will cost more

  then buy a new one.

  It was stupid of saying me to check on the warraty of HP page when I already told you that the unit is 5 years old.

  I recently replaced my hard drive and while my printer (HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One) works fine, I have no more scanning software. When I insert the installation disk I get a message saying that the software is not compatible with Vista (Home Premium). All I can find on the site of HP's software driver. This disc was used to work on this computer. The only difference I can think is that Vista has been updated. Where can I find analytical software that works on my Vista OS update?

  The computer says that the magenta ink is empty, but it's not. Black printing is only possible. When I I use the HP Solution Center and do a test print, it prints all colors with no problems. I can´t find the program that made this error.

• print jam transport Photosmart 2575 All In One

  I have a HP Photosmart 2575 all-in-one.  I get an error message that the transport is stuck, but when I opened the door there doesn't seem to be any jams.  I don't see anything in the way, and I can move the cart.

  I am using Windows XP Pro.

  Any suggestions are welcome.  I couldn't find the repair shops for an inkjet.

  Thank you for the information. At this point, printing a page and still get the error for carriage Jam message. I've included a link to another HP Forum post that you can try, "jam of transport will not be deleted. Please follow the steps described by Bob_Headrick.

  For half a page of printing, it starts printing the top of the page and then stops? You have to pull the rest of the page printing? Or it sounds like it is printing the rest of the page, but comes out blank?

  Were there displayed problems when you did the scan of the System File Checker?

  Here are the steps to make an uninstall of level 3, to remove all the HP files associated with the printer. I think that might help. The steps are:

  1. Click Start and type %temp% in the field run, press ENTER to open the temp folder

  2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)

  3 open the Util folder

  4 open the CCC folder

  5. run the L3uninstall.exe (can also be a .bat file)

  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  9 download full feature software and drivers of my first message above

  10. run the download and reinstall the printer

  I think that something is wrong with your printer, I'm sorry.  There are electrical contacts 'read' the cartridge ink that can be messy, but other than that, nothing simple comes to mind.

  For the past two years, I have been using the Photosmart C7280 all-in-one, with Premium Plus Satin A4 Matte Photo paper and have gotten excellent printing results.

  Now that this article is no longer available I just bought some suggested alternative, which is Premium Plus Semi Gloss; but I am surprised and very disappointed by lower printing results.

  Compared to the Matt satin results, they are very much less clear and the colors appear pale and lower.

  Has anyone had similar experiences and, if so, found a solution?
