You have the fonts installed in the system. This has not changed. (Having the police is not always enough, but it is certainly necessary).

  • Re: Serial number down would work with the other Windows Vista operating system

First of all sorry for my English.
    I have one question.

My hard drive is broken with my recovery partition.
If I download windows vista and install the system with my original serial number on the laptop, this will work or should I activate it after installation.

I hope it's the same number that the front is installed on my first installation.

    Hello Marcin

I doubt that the serial number that is placed at the bottom of the device works with another Windows Vista operating system. But it s worth a try
You could test it I heard it's very rare cases it was possible

In any case, if your HARD disk is damaged and it of not possible to create a recovery DVD using recovery software Toshiba disc creator, then you must contact the ASP in your country for assistance.

If the warranty is valid the HARD drive should be replaced just for free. If you need only the recovery DVDs, then you can order it here:

    Hi Ickido,

You have the disc to install Windows with you?

If you do not have the Windows XP installation disk, I recommend you to make arrangements for a disc that is the same edition as it is installed on your machine.

  • Is it possible to recover files deleted from your Recycle Bin, after the failure of the computer after the backup hard drive contained in the folder windows.old, including system files?

Very well. My computer is messed up awhile back and my friend saved my whole hard drive, the files system and everything, then wiped and restored, then ALL put in a folder called "windows.old" that I can access my hard drive. So since he has saved the files system and everything, I'll be able to recover my old files I had deleted before it was erased, if (hopefully) they is not replaced? If so, what filepath can I go in?

    Hi thatonehxckid,

The content in the trash is not saved in the folder windows.old during a custom installation.

  • How to remove the archived windows error reporting system / pending, check boxes does not remove

When performing a cleaning disc and by checking the boxes to remove, do not delete atchived system and queued windows error reporting. How can this be repaired?

    Hello

    1. you are using a third party software to clean your computer?

It could be caused by a registry cleaning program that has been authorized to remove or delete the part of these located registry entries to the:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches

    Step 1:

I suggest you to use the Windows Defragmenter software rather than a third party to fix.

    Step 2:

Please make sure that you run the tool, Disk Cleanup with administrator rights.

  • What is normal size, the HP Windows 7 operating system?

What is the size in GB should be the operating system Windows 7 Home Premium?

Less than 20 GB. Two factors that influence the amount of consumed disk space are the size of the swap file and the file of hibernation, which are determined by the amount of RAM you have installed.  Example: 8 GB memory will create a pagefile of 8 GB and a 6 GB (in round figures) hiberfile adds that, at the space used by Windows and you could exceed 30 GB of disk space used.

  • Difference between mail header in the list and the detail window

Sometimes after receiving multiple emails at the same time and I want to watch a mail by clicking on the object in the list, another mail opens in the mail window, and everything that I've done (by removing the other mail, returned mail...) I'm not able to view the correct mail. I have to open the mail with Windows Live Mail and return it here for me to be able to see the content. In the first screen - save I send along, the first and the second line in the area of subject in the part of the upper window of Thunderbird subject thatr are very different and totally different shippers, show the same content of mail in the lower part: it is the content of the second subject. In this case, although the subject line chosen is the first line (original ART PRICE sender), the message is the second line (Paasweek of doors in comfort). After you return the Windows Live Mail Inbox mail, I can see the correct mail as shown in the second image I send. Can you help me with this? Thank you and best regards.

  • In Firefox the bottom window shows that the window is maximized.

For some reason any, whenever Firefox is maximized, part of the browser window's display down at the bottom of the screen. I don't know why it does this. I tried to disable the Restorer Classic theme and it does not go far, I tried to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox and it has yet to go away. I use a laptop computer with a touch screen built in and I noticed that whenever I scroll upward along a page using the touchscreen, it starts glitching where the window will try repeatedly to shake down and find. I think it has something to do with why continues to display the lower part. Other that that, there isn't any other problem with him.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • Windows\System32\Config\System is corrupted or missing

I restarted Windows XP Home edition using the software/operating system installation CD.
I deleted everything and started again and when the Setup is finished, she has restarted.
Then the message "windows\system32\config\system is corrupted or missing" came and said it should be repaired in the recovery console.

Boot from the Windows XP CD and go to Recovery Console - follow this document to do http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654

    Go to the command prompt.

Then change to the C: by typing C: and press ENTER.

Then type CD\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION and press enter

Then type DIR /AH and press enter (this will show you a directories even if they are hidden directories)

    This will show a few directories... one in particular starts with the name of directory being _RESTORE {there is a long series of random letters and it ends by}

Type CD _restore {then the random set of letters, dashes and numbers in the directory list of the above command and ending by the}, and then press ENTER.

Then type dir and press to enter.

It will show you a bunch of directories that begin with RP - something like RP1366.

Look at the last entry in directory PR.  If IE RP1366... then look for a couple of directory entries...

Type CD RP1364 to some directory of restore point that is relevant to your directory entry.  Just don't do the last restore point directory - I would go back 2 or 3 directories restore point.

Then type DIR /AD and press enter

Should display a directory called SNAPSHOT

    Then type CD SNAPSHOT

Then type DIR and press enter

You should see a few files but two in particular.

    _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM
    _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE

Type COPY _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM C:\windows\system32\config\system and press enter
Then type COPY _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE c:\windows\system32\config\software and press enter

Then restart your PC and see if you can connect.

  • cannot access windows\system32\config\system file to retrieve

Hi all, my problem was a common originally, my XP computer would not start as it says that the file \windows\system32\config\system is damaged or missing. I tried the 3 steps to recovery according to the instructions, but already in the first stage, I had the following problem: I could not copy the SYSTEM TMP file, it does not, and I get a message that the file is not accessible, even if I can see it in the CONFIG DIR. Nor could then delete the file, I get the message "the falied to delete operation. So as a result, I can't open the CONFIG folder to be able to put the "new" SYSTEM repair file Then of course as a result I can't go to step 2 (safe mode) because I keep getting the error about the missing or damaged file SYSTEM.

So in summary: I can see the SYSTEM file in the config folder, dated a few days ago. But I can't make them disappear to put in the place of repair file SYSTEM safe mode and access.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you

    I see.

All too well since KB307545 normally should be attempted If chkdsk /r does not solve the problem.
I'll look into your question. But in the meantime, boot from the CD and rerun the Recovery Console. When you get the C:\ prompt, type the following
    Chkdsk /r
then press the Enter key (there is a space before the slash).
You may find that chkdsk /r is all you need to do to fix your problem. Let us know!
