Partially turned off and power off?

Hi, I'm working on the API, vcloud

I want to completely shut down a vm of the vcloud using vcloud api 1.5.

However when I use its API, vcloud Portal status will switch to "partially power off '...

If I try to power off from the vcloud portal, it will say "turn off."

Is this a bug or a tip to turn off the virtual machine if 1.5. why it is partially?

Thank you... Hei

You must call "undeploy" with power action "power off" on the paralytic.

The thing is that for vCloud uses vShield edge network management VMS and allocates the VLANs and IP addresses. Call just "switch off" - to stop all VMs regular associated VAPP, but does not stop the VMS infrastructure and do not release all resources allocated with the vApp network.

The difference between the user interface and API is that you get this greater flexibility of power off the power on all computers in the VAPP virtual and maintain the network or through "undeploy" freeing resources network too. In the user interface can be in the same State if they turned off the virtual machines one by one.

    Hello

We create a paralytic and the virtual machine by sending Agency following an instantiation of VDC: (the x must be replaced)

We begin to experience problems when trying to turn on / turn off the virtual machine. Everything we try - anything under power off / on the TIME or the machine itself - we don't seem to get good deeds and indicate subsequently. An example to clarify what I mean by that: suppose we did a virtual machine by performing the steps above. Then, send us a power control on (powerOn/action /) to the paralytic (or vm). Later, send us a Power Off command (action/extinction /). When we look into vCenter / vCloud director, we see that the virtual machine is stopped, but the vApp is still 'running' in a State partially powered Off . We do not seem to completely stop. It is a problem because we want to show users the different actions on this virtual machine, given his State. Stuck in that State party powered off, there is no action of deletion in the XML link nodes received questioning the virtual machine.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Klaas

I don't know if this is the case, but there are actually a few actions that govern the State of the virtual machine. They deploy and walk to start the virtual machine. Extinguishment and cancellation of the deployment to stop it. These should be 4 different API calls. The UI allows to expose all this, but then we decided that we could have confused end-users as they want to just push a button and the power (or turn off). That's what the two buttons in the UI do today (the API calls green it means two and even made the Red).

If you build your application against the API, you must use four calls accordingly. I'm not a person of the API... then apply your filters of programming skills to what I say here.

I'm not sure that we are talking about the same thing, but generally those "partially on / off...". "States are for this reason. HTH.

The new App Store for El Capitan update has locked up my macbook pro.  Reboot got about 3/4 fact and the machine stops. Turned off the power and turn it on again for nothing doesn't.  How in my machine to begin troubleshooting?

The problem is most likely an attempt to update a system malfunction prior it is probably a problem with your computer, not the El Capitan.

    Start by:

Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

Start in Safe Mode , and then re - start normally. It's slower that a normal start, so be patient.

    If you are unable to start;

Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

Please make sure that you back up.

    1. Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
    2. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
    3. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume in the list aside.
    4. Click first aid icon in the toolbar. Wait until the button is active, then click it.
    5. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
    6. Select Reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

Also, see this tip for user: basic steps for the OS X upgrade.

    If this doesn't get you;

Install Yosemite or El Capitan, from scratch

    Backup if possible before proceeding.

Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime hold down the command and R buttons until the Apple logo appears. When the Utility Menu appears:

Select utility disc in the Menu Utility, then click the continue button.

When loading disk utility, select the volume (entered into withdrawal, usually Macintosh HD) from the list of devices.

Click Delete in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.

Define the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).

Click on the apply button, then wait for the done button to activate and click on it.

Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.

Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

  • Satellite Pro L650 turns off after start; DC In and Power LEDs blink on stop

A friend Satellite Pro L650 having worked well until yesterday, all of a sudden turned itself off. Now, at startup, it lights up normally for about 10-15 seconds before turning off suddenly. Turned off, the DC in white/blue LED and the orange Power LED Flash on a broad set of intervals of approximately one second. This extinction happens if I leave Windows or press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

I guess this blinking is intended to serve as a kind of diagnostic code, but I have yet to track down what it means. Can anyone help?

To avoid confusion, power without the product stack the same, sudden stop experience, except the two LEDs remain solidly lit this time. With or without battery, trying to turn on again immediately after that a shutdown produced no response at all. Remove the power cable and immediately it reconnect again and turn then produced a brutal power off, but in less than 5 seconds. More wait between attempts to market seems to give a little longer powered on State, but without fault, the machine turns off just suddenly. With its short time 'turned on' we are talking, there cannot be any kind of thermal protection?

I had an old Satellite L450D lying around that uses coincidentally the same AC PA-1750 adapter, but use it made no difference. Of course, the battery does not have the L650!

The only previous numbers, that I am aware of this machine have been intermittent case of Windows reporting "Plugged in, not charging", but as my friend use it exclusively on the network, it was not a problem.

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

  • XP freezes at startup then begins after the power is turned off and on again

After a windows session and wait that my computer close, I usually turn the power off to the outlet.

Upon restarting, the computer hangs on startup controls and can be recovered in closing with its power button press again to restart.

    The ideas people?

I guess that if you leave your computer plugged into the wall - IE do not activate deactivate the plug - you do not have these problems?  If you turn off your computer by unplugging from the wall, the computer comes back on the motherboard battery to retain the BIOS settings (and keep the time as well).  These symptoms may be a sign of a low battery or motherboard failure. On the first power cycle, it attempts to recover the BIOS settings, and the second power up then maybe succeed.

    Check your motherboard battery.

What ould iw as is for the usb power switch off appliances like the old way. NO, by checking or unchecking the checkbox in the Device Manager, etc., for the USB ROOT HUB to "allow the device to turn off the power" or whatever it says DOES NOT work either.  All what I want to know is, is possible to do this, turn off the power for something as simple as an external fan or a hard drive will be TURNED OFF like it USE TOO. • TOSHIBA Power Saver software is turn off the optical disc drive, and I'm unable to re - turn on the power.

    Original title:

    Aloha!

    I have a Toshiba Qosmio x 775-3dv78 running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64.
Similar to another old post here, I have an intermittent problem where the Toshiba Power Saver software is off the ODD (a Matshita UJ240EF - BD - RE) and I am unable to turn on the power.  To put the ODD back on, it's a matter of restarting (sometimes several times) until the STRANGE somehow turns on.
Sometimes, when I do a hot or cold boot, a window opens asking me if I want Toshiba Power Saving technology to turn ON the ODD.
I click 'Yes', but the drive remains switched off.
I also try to use function - same key controls... The STRANGE remains turned off.
    Here are the "best":
As described in the former post office, inside the Windows power settings, there is a slot layout titled "TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings v8.9.9.64".
In this context, normally there is ONLY a framework for 'cooling method.  BUT only when the ODD is disabled, a second parameter appears to "Optical Drive Power".
Change that on ONE for battery and plugged in fact NONE no difference... The STRANGE remains OFF!
Toshiba support is of no help.  Their answer to this problem is to run a 'Mr Fixit' which I discovered just unrecognized devices and then removes the upper and lower filters for the reader.  This "difficulty" might work from time to time... when it does, the ODD is somehow transformed into a 'removable' instead of one device ATA device.
But then in a few days, the STRANGE turns off again.
Something different maybe notable, I found after that I continued services and the related process, programs is that the version number on the Toshiba modules show "8.9.6" - not the "8.9.9.64" in the window Power Options.
And before you ask (LOL!) what's happening on a soft reinstallation of the operating system by the media of recovery Toshiba with all Windows 7 updates applied.
While I'm waiting for a possible response, I'll do the following:
Uninstall and reinstall all THE software Toshiba provided duty with the STRANGE (energy saving, combustion, players, etc.)
I will also shoot material part and make sure that the STRANGE is well inserted in the connector (IDE?) and that the connector is firmly attached to the motherboard.
IF who does things, I'll update this message and inform you all.
Otherwise, any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Mahalo!

I write some scripts to turn off a virtual computer and power on the virtual machine.  Can someone please tell me what commands that I use to power on a virtual machine and a virtual computer power off, if this is possible.

    Thank you

Depends on if you have the VMware tools running.

    (1) without tools

    Get-VM | Stop-VM

    (2) with tools

    Get-VM | Shutdown-VMGuest

The 2nd method let the OS do stop.

The first method is the power Cup.

For power on you can use

    Get-VM | Start-VM

  • iPhone 4S heating quickly, turn off the power and the battery drains quickly.

    Hello

My problem is exactly the same as the title. My iPhone 4S warms up quickly, turn it off and after I turn the iPhone, the battery drains quickly and the iPhone will turn off after 5 minutes. iPhone turns off again and again until I put the iPhone on the charger. It is bad because I like to play games like Pokémon GO. But after 10 minutes of play, the iPhone starts heating (and of course delay).

Things I've tried: (and didn't work)

The apps I use no fence. (I close applications once I stop playing)

Turn off location Services. (Enabled only when I'm with apps like GPS...)

    Reduce the brightness

I will be grateful for any kind of help.

Welcome to Apple Support communities, Krystof11cze.

It seems that you encounter problems with your iPhone 4S on iOS 9.2.1 with heating, battery draining and stopping. Good job on the steps you tried as I would have recommended those as well. I will do my best to help!

    1. backup of your iOS device - because I have erase you your iPhone completely, it is strongly recommended that you will lose your data if you do not.

    2. restore your device to factory settings - using the settings on your iPhone will only erase your personal data. You will need to let iTunes erase the iOS version installed a new clean copy can take place.

3 test the question - the first time through, set up your iPhone as a new iPhone when it asks. It's just temporary. You can connect to iTunes and App Store and iCloud and also download some of your applications. Test for problems you encounter. If your iPhone's battery life is improved, follow the next step.

    4. restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Take care!

    Hi Timstimpson,

It is possible that the Automatic Configuration Windows wireless service is not configured to run at startup.
    Try the following:
    1. click on Start and run
    2. type in the box to run services.msc
3 scroll down and look for the Automatic Wireless Configuration service
    4. double-click on the service and make sure that the Startup Type is set to Automatic
